Oh CeCi!
jamie59 24th Sep 2014, 12:06 AM edit delete reply

No fun Model. Maybe they're both Teedee.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:22 PM edit delete reply

nah .. they curse less
cattservant 24th Sep 2014, 12:08 AM edit delete reply

And the sun is rather occluded right now...
Sheela 24th Sep 2014, 1:02 PM edit delete reply

Ah, you noticed that bit, did you ?

Yeah, Noctis have her own opinion about the prince, but she's not stupid enough to speak it out loud to strangers ... so she uses metaphors.
Laszlo 24th Sep 2014, 4:27 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, I noticed that phrasing as well. Guess if the prince is under a cloud, he won't be defended nearly as... efficiently?
KarToon12 24th Sep 2014, 4:29 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, that was pretty clever wording there.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:23 PM edit delete reply

Very good guys :D
Stormwind13 24th Sep 2014, 5:32 PM edit delete reply

Good catch, Cat. Noctis is definitely saying something about Douchebag and his 'rule'. I think she would GLEEFULLY (for her) destroy Douchebag, if she could. I KNOW Kali would, she pretty much said as much, except for the contingencies.

I also think Malati would kill Douchebag in an interesting and painful method, if allowed to. She would probably inflict a painful death on a sizable chunk of the city's population, because that is how she gets her 'enjoyment'. :-p

On thinking about it the person Malati reminds me most of (in the comic) is Jerald Malkin. Though she seems less angry, she seems to enjoy some of the same activities. That would have been an interesting encounter, if Kelly hadn't dealt with him.
Draginbeard 24th Sep 2014, 12:24 AM edit delete reply

Noctis is very professional. She reminds me a little of Abraham from Hellboy.

The more I look at Malati, the more she reminds me of a Drow Mistress.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:24 PM edit delete reply

LOL yeah I can see that :D
Haegan2005 24th Sep 2014, 1:14 AM edit delete reply

I find that I like Noctis.

While we have had a glimpse of the Cassians thoughts, we really don't know them well yet. They serve in a social environment that is far more hostile to them then what Ceci was born into. It would possibly form a "us vs them" attitude in their psyke as a result of the treatment that they get. While they serve the crown, they serve it from outside of polite society. In humans it would definitely twist the outlook towards others. How it effects the Cassians we don't really know yet, but I imagine we will be getting a few more clues soon!

As an aside, good convo on the page and I find it interesting how little attention Dolly is getting. But that makes sense in a way. To them Dolly is human. Ceci is far more interesting as she is one of "them".
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:24 PM edit delete reply

all excellent points :D
plymayer 24th Sep 2014, 1:59 AM edit delete reply

She makes friends easy. :)
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:24 PM edit delete reply

yep :D
mjkj 24th Sep 2014, 2:57 AM edit delete reply

Awwwwww...

Too nice *sighs*

Now I like Noctis even more...

...and yeah, they are made to stand out - that if you are plotting against the throne you know what hour has come when they show up.

...and yayyy for new friends for CeCi.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:25 PM edit delete reply

yes indeed .. they are meant to be seen much like a police car..
Timotheus 24th Sep 2014, 5:37 AM edit delete reply

And is it redundant to point out that Dolly is a New Troy Cassian?
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:25 PM edit delete reply

Ehhh I wouldnt say a cassian.. Ceci is actually closer..
xrzer04 24th Sep 2014, 7:41 AM edit delete reply
Not really an apt comparison. If Dolly were simply a NT version of this type of security android, she'd be useless for this mission, as she could easily be detected as an artificial. the biological body is what makes her whole mission even possible. Besides which, Noctis just as much as Admitted to being an inferior model to Ceci. Since they can't even tell Dolly is one of them, she's pretty much off the scale, comparison-wise.
Timotheus 24th Sep 2014, 4:43 PM edit delete reply

Not as a direct comparison, no. But the Taylor's are as close to royalty as New Troy gets and Dolly is their guardian android. If you were to compare their internal mission statements I think you'd find a great deal of basic compatibility.
And Dolly wasn't even a type three for most of her existence so body type was not what I meant.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:27 PM edit delete reply

hmm well if you look at it that way .. but Dolly was built for many things and given a choice of Jobs .. She chose Security.. Cassians have no choice in there builds
Stormwind13 24th Sep 2014, 5:21 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, I didn't get a chance to comment this morning before work. I see where Tim is coming from. Not in the physical, but in what they do. They are both meant to be protectors of their respective city states.

As things stand now, I would say Dolly and Kali are two sides of the same coin, Tim. Dolly serves the Taylors because she loves them. Kali serves Nova Roma, and Douchebag, because she is chained to the ruler. She would serve Nova Roma, proudly I think, but Douchebag is NOT someone she would willingly serve.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:26 PM edit delete reply

correct Xirzer
VanEzzania 24th Sep 2014, 8:57 AM edit delete reply

CeCi is learning some new things
Stormwind13 24th Sep 2014, 5:23 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, she has been learning the world isn't all New Troy. And that lesson continues here, I believe.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:28 PM edit delete reply

Yep that she is ..
DizzasterJuice 24th Sep 2014, 9:28 AM edit delete reply

Ceci has found someone who is not trying to be accepted as human and is very proud of who she is. This intrigues her, so now she's going to re-evaluate her own role in society... to be more like Noctis and accept that she is what she is for a reason.
Or maybe the spooky girl is just as bat shit crazy as she looks. :P
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:28 PM edit delete reply

want to lay money on eather one?
Stever 24th Sep 2014, 12:48 PM edit delete reply

I suck at Charades too, but I'm great at win, lose or draw XD
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:28 PM edit delete reply

smooth :D
Matt Knab 24th Sep 2014, 3:27 PM edit delete reply

"Your design is aesthetically interesting."
Sounds like a pickup line. ;)
Stormwind13 24th Sep 2014, 5:34 PM edit delete reply

LOL Matt. You know, it kind of does. :-D

Though I have to agree with her, CeCi is aesthetically interesting, pleasing even. :-)
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:29 PM edit delete reply

maybe? but doubtful ..
Tokyo Rose 25th Sep 2014, 9:21 AM edit delete reply

Noctis is basically asexual, but has an artistic appreciation for beauty in many forms and fashions. When she's off-duty, she spends a lot of time at art galleries and museums.
jas 24th Sep 2014, 3:37 PM edit delete reply

Verrrry interesting discussion! I'm starting to think Noctis and Ceci would be somewhat well-matched in a conflict, yes? Or am I completely off-base? XD
Stormwind13 24th Sep 2014, 5:35 PM edit delete reply

Having not seen Notis in a fight, it is hard to say, jas. It is possible though. Both are trusted subordinates of some seriously Alpha females. :-)
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:30 PM edit delete reply

Spoilers... and all.
Sheela 25th Sep 2014, 11:43 AM edit delete reply

Just because a machine is old and gnarly, does not mean it's not capable.
Stormwind13 25th Sep 2014, 6:26 PM edit delete reply

You spoil us all the time, CentComm. So what is the problem? :-D
Sheela 25th Sep 2014, 10:43 PM edit delete reply

It's that we keep getting into the cookie jar. :D
highlander55 24th Sep 2014, 8:21 PM edit delete reply

" I am honored to serve the Throne when the sun shines brightly." Means at this time what is there is the same as where the sun don't shine.
Centcomm 24th Sep 2014, 10:30 PM edit delete reply

yep...
Pirtnac 25th Sep 2014, 2:13 PM edit delete reply
Sooo.... The sun don't shine with an ass on the throne? :)
highlander55 26th Sep 2014, 10:08 PM edit delete reply

There is always an ass sitting on the throne. Just what is there is all ass!
The Old Scribe 25th Sep 2014, 4:51 PM edit delete reply

I'm getting the distinct impression that Prince Douchebag don't have a whole lot of 'likes' on his Facebook page. Granted, it's better to be feared than loved, but take your eye off the ball for very long and it's stabbing time.
Kitty 25th Sep 2014, 8:45 PM edit delete reply
Oh, sure he does! And he paid good money for them too! "Like if you know what's good for you."
Centcomm 25th Sep 2014, 9:33 PM edit delete reply

Snickers at Kittys .. and yeah hes not a popular person at Xmas eather.. its bad when you own sister gives you a "pet rock" as a gift.
Stormwind13 25th Sep 2014, 10:47 PM edit delete reply

No, no CentComm... It is the fact Acantha is using a Mangonel to DELIVER the pet rock that is bad. Unfortunately, they aren't precision delivery. But she'll keep trying, I'm sure. :-D
Sheela 25th Sep 2014, 10:51 PM edit delete reply

Eh, could be worse.

She could have given him a "Pet Turd"
HiFranc 11th Apr 2015, 10:24 PM edit delete reply

Were the Cassian's monitoring our heroines before they arrived? I find it strange that both Malati and Ceci talked about charades. It's almost as if Malati already knew that would push Dari's buttons.
