LMAO: Alt text! Happily, for a change, I wasn't sipping a beverage! (Too bad about the ribs, though) :D

I love how Ophelia and Chawley (Charlie?) get along! They do seem to have each other's backs.

Re: A/N, Centcomm, I'm sorry to hear that. :( I hope along with you that you feel better! (Thanks for letting us know) Take care of yourself! Rose, make sure Cent takes care of herself! :D
Tokyo Rose 21st Feb 2018, 6:21 PM edit delete reply

Charlie, yes. :D
megados 21st Feb 2018, 11:11 PM edit delete reply
Much obliged, Ma'am! :D
Sheela 22nd Feb 2018, 7:12 PM edit delete reply

Does that make Ophelia one of Charlie's angels ? :D

On a sidenote, don't underestimate a gutfeeling like the one Charlie's having.
The human gut has a whole lot more neurons than you'd expect, it is seriously interesting.
megados 22nd Feb 2018, 8:39 PM edit delete reply
*Groan* (I wonder what Ophelia would say about that) :D

You're right; that IS interesting. It also reminds me how many things I know little to nothing about. :D
Sheela 23rd Feb 2018, 10:17 PM edit delete reply

The more you know, the more you realize how much more there is to know. :)
megados 24th Feb 2018, 12:23 AM edit delete reply
Yes, that's very true. I started out knowing nothing, and I have managed to retain most of it! :D
robnot 24th Feb 2018, 10:47 AM edit delete reply
and knowing is half the battle...

yo joe.!
Sheela 25th Feb 2018, 10:48 AM edit delete reply

/wordsalad

So ... if we know that the more we know, we also know how little we know and know how much more we could know - We start of by knowing nothing and while knowing is half the battle, we must then know that the other half of the battle requires very little knowing, and since we know that we know very little and the sum of knowledge must then be much waster than when we know much, the greater sum of knowing must by the very definition lie in the first half of the battle, which makes us entirely ignorant of the second part of the battle. And that once battle commences, no matter how much we thought we knew about the knowledge of the situation, and any knowledge we may have compiled about said scenario, goes right out the door with the saying .. "This is some bullshit, y'know ?", to which the reply will often knowingly and empathically be, "I know man, I know"

tl;dr : No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy.

Man, I'm the bestest doggy at this, they should totally hire me as a military advisor ! :D
Just imagine it - A megalomanic .. completely normal doggy with her paw on the red button and access to a red phone with which she could call and troll .. erh .. talk rationally with Putin and Trump !

You know, I don’t know how much there is to know, so I don’t know how much there is left to know, even if I know how much I know. Even if I knew how much there is to know right now, I still don't know because there is always something new to know that I don't know about. Making it even more difficult, is the stuff I think I know that is wrong, showing that I don't know. I don't know how many things I know that I really don't know.

Bill Nye says that everyone you will ever meet knows something you do not know. It is true, because even if they don't know much, they know what it’s like not to know. Maybe if they don't know that they don't know, then they don't know, but otherwise they know, you know?

I summary, and in conclusion, I can't say how much I know or don't know, because I don’t know. One thing I do know, (or think I know), is that it’s probably Sheela’s fault. :D
DLKmusic 26th Feb 2018, 12:07 AM edit delete reply

I kinda want to chime in on this thread, but, you know, I JUST DON'T KNOW!
Sheela 26th Feb 2018, 5:06 AM edit delete reply

That's allright, you could just do something people don't expect instead !
robnot 26th Feb 2018, 12:34 PM edit delete reply
and to sum it all up...

Welcome to Military Intelligence.!

@robnot: Where's the like button when you need one?
Sheela 27th Feb 2018, 12:28 PM edit delete reply

Well I can say, with a great deal of confidence, that it is not buried in the backyard. :)

Given how New Romans feel about Cassians (and androids in general), I can’t help but wonder how they get on so well.
oldastronomer 22nd Feb 2018, 7:03 AM edit delete reply
Even if there is some distance between a Cassian and the grunts at first, a firefight with the Cassian covering everyones back, spotting for injuries, etc., will rapidly forge a small unit cohesion of great strength. Also that the grunts knew that the Cassians were clearly in a bind, fully realising that Decimus was BAD-NEWS, but bound by programming, as they were by oaths. A shared predicament. Stuck out in the wastes, with only themselves for mutual support, I don't wonder that the unit pride was strong. By the by, some pages back, Samanta, another Cassian, showed similar feelings with some of the redsuited soldiers, and similar loathing of the bluesuited toadies fanatically loyal to Decimus.
As a further aside I have read of similar unit cohesions going as far back as written records exist - Afganistan, Falklands, 'Nam, WW2, WW1, etc etc etc...

Cent, look after yourself.
Sheela 21st Feb 2018, 5:29 AM edit delete reply

Man, first bad shrimp and now the ribs also got burnt ?
Bad fucking day for a barbeque mate !

However, the day just brightened for Ophelia - Dead Gutters always cheers her right up. :)
mjkj 21st Feb 2018, 7:35 AM edit delete reply

So, is that a gutter-barbecue? =P

(*hides from flying utensils*)

"However, the day just brightened for Ophelia - Dead Gutters always cheers her right up."

Just them being dead is probably kinda nice... but getting to MAKE them be dead, I would expect THAT is what would cheer her up.
antrik 21st Feb 2018, 2:46 PM edit delete reply
I don't think it's clear that the bodies are actually gutters, not slaves?...
megados 21st Feb 2018, 4:39 PM edit delete reply
On the right, it looks like skeletal remains (victim?); the left it looks like someone in armor and blood. There's a blood spatter center bottom, and it looks like there is some explosive damage. All in all, inconclusive.
Ictuan 21st Feb 2018, 10:25 PM edit delete reply
Looks like Ophelia needs to go take down a murderturd for the BBQ. Maybe she can put the one that swallowed that pink bunny out of its misery.
mjkj 21st Feb 2018, 7:33 AM edit delete reply

I wonder what happened...

...and I hope you will feel better soon, Cent *hugs*
Oldarmourer 21st Feb 2018, 11:47 AM edit delete reply
This little gutter got his head blown off
This little gutter should have stayed home
This little gutter got gutted
And so did this one...
And trhat one over there too...

Hopefully, Ophelia and Chawley will permanently get both of those gutters out of the minds.
Sheela 22nd Feb 2018, 7:11 PM edit delete reply

No, no, no .. the gutter called Mindfuck is at another castle.
wright1 21st Feb 2018, 1:34 PM edit delete reply
I commend Charlie's cautious approach, he's a good complement to Ophelia's cheerful fury. Whatever irregularity did for all those Gutters could still be around and willing to add a few Praetorians and a Cassian to the bag. Or at least try.

Get well soon, Cent.
DLKmusic 21st Feb 2018, 9:22 PM edit delete reply

I'm right there with you, @wright1. I mentioned it last page, it's almost as if they're (gasp) friends! He's not treating her like an intelligent machine, he's treating her like a fellow soldier.

For a Roman, that's extraordinary, to say the least!
antrik 21st Feb 2018, 2:49 PM edit delete reply
It's a trap!

Well, maybe?...

DLKmusic 26th Feb 2018, 12:11 AM edit delete reply

*Raises hand*
"Don't Fuss Chawlie" ranks right up there with "What could possibly go wrong?"
Sheela 26th Feb 2018, 5:07 AM edit delete reply

Yeahh, it's right up there with "watch this" and "you'll be fine", isn't it ?
DLKmusic 26th Feb 2018, 8:52 PM edit delete reply

@Sheela:
"Don't worry, I can fix this!"
"it's ok, I have a plan!"
"What are you, scared of your own shadow?"

The list goes on and on and on....
