Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 12:20 AM edit delete reply

yeppers! but whos giving who info... :D
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 12:24 AM edit delete reply

I notice that all the successful denizens of the Waste are information sponges!

(Even the bad tempered smelly ones.)
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 12:55 AM edit delete reply

of course .. thats how they got successful!
SpaceMonkey 27th Mar 2013, 5:07 PM edit delete reply

Not just museum quality, but now I notice they seem to be stamped by Lockheed Martin. I imagine the name must be coincidence.
cattservant 27th Mar 2013, 5:44 PM edit delete reply

Maybe they were thoroughly irradiated at the time.
antrik 8th Oct 2016, 1:26 AM edit delete reply
Actually, it's not totally surprising that a munition company would be among few to survive an apocalyptic war...
xpacetrue 13th Apr 2014, 2:23 PM edit delete reply

Re: Crates stamped "Lockheed Martin"

Maybe they were salvaged from some ruins, vault, or buried warehouse? Or maybe they tend to re-use crates rather than build new ones from scratch? I get the impression that, especially in the Wastes, folks salvage and recycle whatever they can and the philosophy of waste not/want not is the rule.
Centcomm 13th Apr 2014, 3:03 PM edit delete reply

you are dead on - everything is reused no matter how old and a lot of things are still good .. hermetic seals and vaults are pretty Durable :D
Draginbeard 31st Jan 2013, 12:41 AM edit delete reply

Oh man, that chrome arm is way cool!
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 12:55 AM edit delete reply

Cyberpunk baby ! all the way .. gotta have chrome!
Draginbeard 31st Jan 2013, 1:45 AM edit delete reply

I unpacked a few more boxes a few weeks back, and looks like I still have all my 2020 books and mods. Might need to get up a game one of these days.
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 8:18 AM edit delete reply

hmmm wonder if I could get a game going here via the forums >_<
wright1 31st Jan 2013, 11:45 AM edit delete reply
(Grabs dice, core rulebook, three thick paperbacks, jerky, bottled water, lawn chair and sleeping bag; reserves spot in line)
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 12:24 PM edit delete reply

well you would need a comic fury account ( its free ) then you could subscribe ! :D
If I did it - it would be a spacemaster system ( the sci fi version of rolemaster. by ICE )
Tokamada01 31st Jan 2013, 6:25 PM edit delete reply

Lets all jack in and go with the cybergasm, and get on line for the Cyberpunk 2020 game. Nice job on the Cyber Arm.
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 6:42 PM edit delete reply

thankys - you get to see more of it as we go :D
velvetsanity 26th Mar 2013, 1:08 PM edit delete reply

Rulemathster! :D
Stormwind13 10th Oct 2013, 2:26 PM edit delete reply

I have the Cyberspace rules, but not the Spacemaster rule book. :-(
Rashala 31st Jan 2013, 1:14 AM edit delete reply

*sighs and kisses Ceci's burn and uses a burn kit on it*

I blame centcomm.
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 8:17 AM edit delete reply

she did have to take a lot of shortcuts in Cecis construction...
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 10:45 PM edit delete reply

Wasn't it stated that CeCi got burned because she was compelled to quench the plasma ball rather than cast it?
Centcomm 1st Feb 2013, 3:22 AM edit delete reply

that was part of it.. also another reason .. :D
Fairportfan 31st Jan 2013, 1:14 AM edit delete reply

Oh, look. R2 got a new outfit!
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 8:16 AM edit delete reply

heheh yeah :P I might throw in a r2 unit for jokes at some poiint..
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 10:47 PM edit delete reply

[Suggest going to R-2 in a Tutu too.]
Alphy 31st Jan 2013, 3:51 AM edit delete reply
I've just read all of your 894 pages of comics! I've really enjoyed the story so far. Keep up the great work! Also I love your tech section. The universe you created, kind of reminds me of Appleseed. :)
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 8:15 AM edit delete reply

wowsers ! thank you ! it does tend to be a complex one - one of the drawbacks of being a gamer ( the table top one ) and a nut for explaining things....
Alphy 1st Feb 2013, 1:44 AM edit delete reply
Heh, ya I saw that you went into a lot of details. Though its in those details about how the line between Android and human eventually blurs that really attracts viewers like myself. It reminds me of the theme in Ghost in the shell: man machine interface.

I think its a great theme worth exploring , as it invokes philosophical questions like what makes us human, and if our deepest thoughts and emotions are store with electrons instead of chemical, would we still be consider "human"? It seems what you have created Dolly to be is a great platform to explore that question.

I do enjoy your arks, but just be careful of being too distracting to the main story line... We do want our main resuer Dolly to get there before the backups do!
Centcomm 1st Feb 2013, 3:30 AM edit delete reply

ok dont worry we have our ducks in rows.. and thank you for the compliments ! :D
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 10:49 PM edit delete reply

I nominate you for a PhDC!
KarToon12 31st Jan 2013, 12:08 PM edit delete reply

"Precaution" and "slavery"....doesn't look all that different here. >.>
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 12:25 PM edit delete reply

yep.. ( cleaned up the dup posts )
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 2:55 PM edit delete reply

Doesn't take a 'collar' either.
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 4:09 PM edit delete reply

nope it often doesnt.. although it sometimes is the symbol of such..
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 4:33 PM edit delete reply

And a good afternoon to you!
Is your Cat attentive?
Mine are being quite insistent.
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 4:41 PM edit delete reply

hes cashed out on the bed fast asleep like always! :D
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 4:45 PM edit delete reply

He will trade on for in a bit later I imagine...
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 4:43 PM edit delete reply

A Thought:
Are CeCi's tattoos;

1. Decorative,
2. Informational,
3. Printed Circuits

And/or all/none of the above?
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 4:45 PM edit delete reply

Decorative. she has one "informational" barcode that centcomm added her "fake" origin data into. that one is currently hidden by clothing..
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 4:47 PM edit delete reply

Hmnnn, is it in a place she can't see without a mirror?*

*(@Rashala needs to pack his barcode scanner!)
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 4:51 PM edit delete reply

yes she would need a mirror to see it whole.. :D
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 4:59 PM edit delete reply

Those quasi-immortal AIs get a little eccentric over time, eh?
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 5:17 PM edit delete reply

yes they do.. :D and yes Rashala does need his barcode reader.. "handle with care" snickers!
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 5:35 PM edit delete reply

I wonder where TR would have applied a bar-code...
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 5:40 PM edit delete reply

you would have to ask her about that! XD
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 5:59 PM edit delete reply

But could I handle the truth?..

>^OO^<?
Rashala 31st Jan 2013, 11:33 PM edit delete reply

Why would I need a barcode scanner? I'm attracted to the PErson *Ceci* not the info or wrappings she wears.

and I say person not Being or intelligence cause, in my opinion she is a person. She feels emotions, feels pain, and is inquistive about her world
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 11:41 PM edit delete reply

You are a true gentleman Sir!
Rashala 31st Jan 2013, 11:49 PM edit delete reply

yeah I'm part of an endangered species now.....In Ceci's time...I am probally something people only see in Museums.
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 11:56 PM edit delete reply

I'm sure the concept of chivalry has survived. The AIs seem to be a rather retentive bunch!
Rashala 1st Feb 2013, 12:00 AM edit delete reply

I meant AMong the surviving ...well well Organic beings
Tokamada01 31st Jan 2013, 6:22 PM edit delete reply

Yay CeCi! I want one of my very own.
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 6:42 PM edit delete reply

heheh - I wouldnt mind one eather!
Rashala 31st Jan 2013, 11:33 PM edit delete reply

GET IN LINE... behind me you can have the First copy I rather have the orginal Ceci thanks.
CyberSkull 31st Jan 2013, 8:03 PM edit delete reply

Except in this case it's more complicated. She's equipped with some hardware that causes her pain, designed and installed by another AI. Moreover, she is a fragment of said AI, so that makes her pain self-inflicted then.
Centcomm 31st Jan 2013, 8:08 PM edit delete reply

that ... is a wierd twisted logic path.. I like it.
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 9:24 PM edit delete reply

Does your path of logic cover other sensations as well?
Rashala 31st Jan 2013, 11:50 PM edit delete reply

Oooh kay I can see where this is going... lets jsut stop that train at this staion now okay?
cattservant 31st Jan 2013, 11:58 PM edit delete reply

Yep, you gotta look out for excessive concept drift!
CyberSkull 1st Feb 2013, 6:28 PM edit delete reply

As pointed out, when humans place a mech in bondage it is a precaution, when humans place humans in bondage, it is slavery.

So what is it when mechs place mechs in bondage then?
Centcomm 1st Feb 2013, 7:20 PM edit delete reply

thats a good point.. :D
CyberSkull 2nd Feb 2013, 9:18 AM edit delete reply

We are getting to the point where we need to make a table.
velvetsanity 18th Apr 2013, 5:38 AM edit delete reply

For that matter, what is it when mechs place humans in bondage?
CyberSkull 19th Apr 2013, 2:05 AM edit delete reply

Usually it's called slavery too.
