Your comment had me laughing so hard Dragin.

And we can give Dolly the middle name Oblivious. Dolly Oblivious Taylor. :-D
xpacetrue 13th Apr 2014, 10:08 PM edit delete reply

He he! Yes, Dragin's comment was good.

But when Stormwind suggested giving Dolly the middle name Oblivious, this Goblins webcomic page came to mind:

For maximum effect, you might have read from the start of the chapter. Suffice it to say that Minmax has the IQ of a fencepost. (He put all his stats into strength and such, hence his name.) Here he just messed up an indestructable magical sword of immense power - by accident. And he names the now black sword "Oblivious." I can't recall a comic page that had me laughing so hard. XD

He actually made it more badass... By accident ;-)

"no, i'm not trying to get in your pants. now tell me, does this rag smells like chloroform?"
lalverson 19th Feb 2013, 2:13 AM edit delete reply
Now if he's cool his answer would be. "Of course..not, They are too small for me I wouldn't be able to zip and buckle them...However, you do seem to have spilt some of your drink on them and it will stain, Why not take them off and I'll have them cleaned."
Dragonrider 19th Feb 2013, 5:55 AM edit delete reply

Dolly don't think with the wrong brain here, recruit him for back-up and promise what he wants as a possible reward.
Dragonrider 19th Feb 2013, 5:57 AM edit delete reply

Just noticed his hands, does he own a cat or a bunch of cats?
cattservant 19th Feb 2013, 6:19 AM edit delete reply

Maybe he cultivates feral roses as a hobby?
KarToon12 19th Feb 2013, 10:46 AM edit delete reply

Actually BEFORE they started having a conversation. Breaker started when he didn't toss Dolly's ass out the door for breaking his no fighting in my bar rule! :-D

But what does an android -- even a humanized prototype like Dolly -- know about human sexual responses and behavior? Is the information part of their initial download, or do they pick it up as they go along, like most human adolescents?

Is Dolly just now entering puberty?
rfaramir 19th Feb 2013, 12:30 PM edit delete reply
If she is, is he accidentally taking advantage of her minority?

What confusion is wrought when mental, emotional, and physical age are so different from each other and from visible human appearance!
cattservant 19th Feb 2013, 1:00 PM edit delete reply

I suspect even Dolly 1.0 was quite aware of attraction and sex. I'm sure methods and motivations vary widely amongst the population.
cattservant 19th Feb 2013, 1:02 PM edit delete reply

@mudge
Let us sincerely hope it doesn't 'download on demand' like CeCi's plasma caster!
Marcus Ramesy 19th Feb 2013, 2:51 PM edit delete reply

androids know plenty about human sexuality... it was part of their base programing in the early days when they were "servants" as time went on, with the creation of synth brain, androids were aloud to develop on a more natural level.. just like humans, androids have to "grow up" it just takes less time... they have all the human resonances.. in androids the infomation is digital with chemicals to run the biologicals, in humans the information is strictly chemical, same processes, just different ways to go about it... in dollys case, she has gone from a digital system and lack of interests, to a chemical system that doesnt have the same controls..

you have to remember, androids have a base imperative to be sub servant humans( more on that below ). they were created to do all sorts of jobs, from hazardous environment work to sex industry... that was hundreds and hundreds of years ago.. times have changed, as well as androids.. they are essentially a different race of creatures on the planet earth... they are born... they learn.. evolve, and then.. via synthetic means... die.. the only thing they cant do is reproduce sexualy...

as for the sub severance. it still exist to day, whether it be programing, or social conditioning is up for interpretation.. take Tee Dee for instance, she may hate humans, and dislike their meat sack bodies... and she helps humans all day long.. granted she needs a little extra push to do so.. she wouldn't do so on her own... she has over ridden the compulsion to serve but it is still there and pops up from time to time.. the diferences in this day and age of androids.. is that they are not forced to serve... they can and do over ride the "need to serve" if they chose to

Dolly raised three generations of female children. She gave 'em their "birds and bees" talk, even--she knows about the mechanics involved. What she isn't particularly familiar with is the hormonal influence, like Marcus there notes.
Rashala 19th Feb 2013, 11:11 PM edit delete reply

Basically she's an expert on teh whole thing In THEORY

in practice she's a cadet as it were
mushroomisland 19th Feb 2013, 1:43 PM edit delete reply

the real question is,

do you let him. ;)
CyberSkull 20th Feb 2013, 12:35 AM edit delete reply

I don't think that is his main objective, but an important secondary objective.
Stormwind13 11th Oct 2013, 9:47 AM edit delete reply

I think that was his PRIMARY objective when he started out. Beautiful woman, she hot and dangerous. Get to know her.

NOW, he might be shifting toward gather as much information as I possibly can. And see if I can get into her pants too. :-)
