Now we get to see Dr. Silver's toy get a workout.

And TeeDee is TOTALLY off her rocker. :-p
Centcomm 22nd Aug 2013, 9:14 PM edit delete reply

i think you will be impressed :D
Stormwind13 22nd Aug 2013, 9:22 PM edit delete reply

We have to wait until next week to be impressed! :-(

But wait we WILL! Because it will be worth it. :-D
highlander55 22nd Aug 2013, 9:06 PM edit delete reply

NOW Teedee is at full bitch mode.
Something to do with the cue stick and balls.(Hopefully not Marcus')
Centcomm 22nd Aug 2013, 9:13 PM edit delete reply

yup :D
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 8:09 AM edit delete reply

Full Bitch Mode : ON.
Cue Balls = Throwing ammunition.
Cue Stick = Stick up Marcus' ass.
Let the party commence.
Stormwind13 22nd Aug 2013, 9:09 PM edit delete reply

The orb goes from blue (ready state) to RED (Kicking Ass state). :-)
Centcomm 22nd Aug 2013, 9:12 PM edit delete reply

its very protective :D
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 8:09 AM edit delete reply

Did she only bring one ?
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 8:09 AM edit delete reply

It would probably look a bit strange for Doc Silver to be followed around by 10 orbs, some of them the size of a beach ball. I think she decided to bring the one that was the least conspicuous. Plus she probably thought she wouldn't need to level large sections of Atha. :-D

It is still useful but it won't get as many comments as the full flotilla would! :-D
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 8:26 AM edit delete reply

The others could be hiding, maybe even using an invisibility shield of some sort.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 8:37 AM edit delete reply

Well true, but we don't know how good stealth systems are. Plus having THAT many around means that you increase the odds of having SOMETHING reveal some of them.

I really don't think Doc was PLANNING on needing them. I mean for going to get a drink, one was OVERKILL. :-D All 10 of them would be like dropping a nuke for fireworks. While it is spectacular, kind of overdone (as are the guest when the blast wave gets to them). :-D
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 8:54 AM edit delete reply

True enough .. not that that would stop the good Doctor. :D

On a sidenote : I wonder how long it would take the other O.R.B.s to arrive from the cargoship ?
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:12 AM edit delete reply

They are in the upper level of Atha (as seen here) so I wouldn't think too long. Especially if she said get here NOW, though the damage might be more severe in that case. I mean, blowing holes in walls, inconvenient pedestrians and the like. :-D
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 12:19 PM edit delete reply

True, true ... but then, holes in walls are just a minor inconveniance, should you be leaving the city anyways.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 2:46 PM edit delete reply

LOL. I like how you are thinking there, Sheela. :-D

Bet Mr. Black wouldn't be happy with that though. I mean, he wouldn't be welcome back for a LONG time, I fear.
Tokyo Rose 24th Aug 2013, 8:35 PM edit delete reply

They're in an upper level of the Warrens, which means they're underground...
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:09 PM edit delete reply

Yeah it is much closer to the surface than other places in the city, I'm sure. :-) So the orbs getting to Doctor Silver or getting out of town back to the ship won't be too arduous.
Sheela 25th Aug 2013, 5:34 PM edit delete reply

I wonder if the O.R.B.s are strong enough to punch torugh the layer of earth above them then ?
Centcomm 25th Aug 2013, 6:00 PM edit delete reply

LOL - eventually there will be a tech entry on them.. :D
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 6:54 PM edit delete reply

If they can deal with battle armor, they can deal with EARTH... Just might not be an efficient use of them if the ground is too thick, because it would take longer than they probably had. :-)
jamie59 22nd Aug 2013, 9:11 PM edit delete reply

And Teedee ramps up the anger ten more points!
Centcomm 22nd Aug 2013, 9:13 PM edit delete reply

I think she just took it off the chart. :D
Stormwind13 22nd Aug 2013, 9:21 PM edit delete reply

I think the rage meter just melted! I mean, she is WAY out in her rage state.
velvetsanity 22nd Aug 2013, 9:22 PM edit delete reply

Uh-uh, nope, not gonna spew a tired worn-out Dragonball Z meme.....
cattservant 22nd Aug 2013, 9:27 PM edit delete reply

Nano-Adrenaline Addiction!
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 8:10 AM edit delete reply

Endless Rage !
Tokyo Rose 23rd Aug 2013, 7:18 PM edit delete reply

I'll fall on that meme grenade for you. "HER BITCHINESS IS OVER NINE THOUSAND!"
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 7:32 PM edit delete reply

LOL Rose!
Sheela 25th Aug 2013, 3:20 PM edit delete reply

*picks Rose up from the floor with an old rusty crane*

Jeez Rose, no time to lay about !
We have work to do, and herrings to smoke.
Antonious 25th Aug 2013, 7:54 PM edit delete reply

HOLY RUST BUCKET! As the video got started I was expecting to see a rusty crane come to lift THAT into a scrap hauler. Then it started up. I thought OMG! IT LIVES!
Sheela 25th Aug 2013, 8:07 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, it's pretty cool.
Old Steel like that will often surprise you.

I was rather surprised how well it was idling after the first 45 seconds of video .. almost as smooth as some of the trucks I see on the road - Pretty impressive for something that old.

Offcourse, Rusty Old Steel comes in all sorts of flavors, from all parts of the world.
Examples range from old home build snowcats like the Gonkulator, or the rusty swedish snowblower that will survive the zombie apocalypse.

But they're always fun to watch. :)
cattservant 22nd Aug 2013, 9:12 PM edit delete reply

Yup!
You can dress her up...
Centcomm 22nd Aug 2013, 9:16 PM edit delete reply

hehe,...
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 8:10 AM edit delete reply

I can ? Cool.

*dresses TeeDee up in a pink tutu*
mjkj 23rd Aug 2013, 4:32 PM edit delete reply

Oh, watch out Sheela, she might get back to you for that...
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 5:02 PM edit delete reply

MIGHT?!? No MIGHT about it, mjkj!!! She will be skinning Sheela with a DULL knife!
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 6:15 PM edit delete reply

Pfft .. promises, promises.
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 7:38 PM edit delete reply

I hear your words, but expect it to be more like this with TeeDee as the monster and you as Genie. TeeDee, a couple butter knives and snarl of rage... in a Tutu. :-D You are SO toast.

That is more terrifying than the monster. :-D
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 9:42 PM edit delete reply

Oh c'mon .. just admit it .. TeeDee in a Tutu is funny. :)
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:14 AM edit delete reply

Terrifyingly funny. But I would be AFRAID to laugh, at least anywhere NEAR TeeDee (Androids have better hearing than normal people). I don't want to get skinned by the same dull knife she is using on you! :-D
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 12:20 PM edit delete reply

Oh, no worries, I'm not really corporeal anyways, so she can't hurt me.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 2:47 PM edit delete reply

TeeDee would FIND a way for dressing her in a Tutu. :-D

If nothing else, trapping your non-corporeal form and putting it IN a body so she could exact her bloody revenge!
Stormwind13 22nd Aug 2013, 9:20 PM edit delete reply

Love the line Rose, "Trying a little percussive therapy, Marcus?" :-D

And Marcus can use the pool cues as his drum sticks. TeeDee isn't the best drum kit, but she is one of the prettier drums (though her fury isn't very pretty right now). :-D
cattservant 22nd Aug 2013, 9:25 PM edit delete reply

Hmnn...
Do androids have square poo?
She looks to be ready to fling!
Tokyo Rose 23rd Aug 2013, 7:19 PM edit delete reply

I've worked in tech support. "Percussive maintenance" is not an unfamiliar concept :)
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 7:42 PM edit delete reply

On the equipment or the ID-10T's that called on your services? :-D

I worked phone tech support for 7 years, 400 users scattered all over the state, so I'm with you. :-p
Tokyo Rose 24th Aug 2013, 8:36 PM edit delete reply

The desire to hit the ID-10Ts WITH the equipment was quite powerful at times.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:14 PM edit delete reply

Been there too, Rose. Only reason some people continued to breath was that they were too far out of reach (being on the other end of the phone).

Of course, if I could have SEEN what they were doing, it would have been FIXED before it got to the point where their stupidity made me want to strangle them.
Antonious 25th Aug 2013, 7:58 PM edit delete reply

Hey Rose, I prefer the "computer golf" form of percussive therapy. Choose a long handled sledge, tee up the offending piece of electronics and SWING. FORE!
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:45 PM edit delete reply

also known as "Wall-to-Wall Counseling" LOL
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 9:43 PM edit delete reply

Oh man .. ID-10T requisitions are classics.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 8:32 AM edit delete reply

I have a bumper sticker, "Most computer problems are caused by a loose nut between the chair and the keyboard." :-D
Stormwind13 22nd Aug 2013, 9:32 PM edit delete reply

Do I see a Lunar picture in the background of panel 6? :-)

And I love panel 6 and 7, we get to see the same 3 characters from different angles. And I love how Ada (continues) to appear.

But where did Goldie get to? Did she bolt already? Awww... Can't have an 'accident'. :-D
cattservant 22nd Aug 2013, 9:42 PM edit delete reply

Looks like a Historical Picture, or is that the Luna-Com TV feed?
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 8:13 AM edit delete reply

A lot of low-life people have a finely tuned "danger" radar, and will disappear when it's pingin' !
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 10:07 AM edit delete reply

Under that criteria Sheela, Atha should have turned into a ghost town when TeeDee stepped out of the transport! :-D
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 12:21 PM edit delete reply

Well, she wasn't pingin' the danger meter at that time.
TeeDee *can* be peaceful, when she puts her mind to it.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 2:49 PM edit delete reply

Um, are we talking about the same android here, Sheela? :-D I mean, she can SEEM to be not threatening, but she is NEVER peaceful! (Just ask CentComm's doll :-D)
mjkj 22nd Aug 2013, 9:36 PM edit delete reply

Wow, her temper fuse got too short.

She should know better than to engage Marcus...

Well, at least Ada is calm :)

...and yayy for protector drone...
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 8:15 AM edit delete reply

"should know better than to engage Marcus"

Well, we don't actually *know* if Marcus is stronger. He might be, but TeeDee is probably no slouch either, and might have nasty enough surprises up her sleeve to beat him silly.

All we really know is he's very good, and she'll have to bring her A-game to beat him up.

From there on up, it's all guesswork.
Rashala 22nd Aug 2013, 9:48 PM edit delete reply

*cues up The Another one bite's the dust*
velvetsanity 22nd Aug 2013, 9:51 PM edit delete reply

*sneaks up behind Rash and swaps the music for this*
Stormwind13 22nd Aug 2013, 9:57 PM edit delete reply

Not bad, Velvet, but I still prefer Queen. :-D

Of course, this would be appropriate for TeeDee on the last page. :-D
Rashala 22nd Aug 2013, 10:12 PM edit delete reply

I stand by Another one Bite the dust FRom Iron vs War machine in Iron man 2
Mister Black 23rd Aug 2013, 3:19 AM edit delete reply

Daft Punk - "Robot Rock"
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:45 PM edit delete reply

I like queen too :D
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 7:53 PM edit delete reply

Well of course you like Queen, CentComm. Illium's uncrowned crystal queen would HAVE to like Queen. :-D
Stormwind13 22nd Aug 2013, 10:18 PM edit delete reply

Rereading the page and with TeeDee's spouting off in the 3rd panel I thought of this Tin Man. :-D
Don B. 22nd Aug 2013, 10:02 PM edit delete reply
...aaand off with the shades. Time to get serious. I'm looking forward to and kinda dreading what's to follow.
Marcus Ramesy 23rd Aug 2013, 12:38 AM edit delete reply

these are expensive.... cant run the risk of getting the damaged.
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 7:11 PM edit delete reply

Don't you know better than that, Marcus?!? If you take something like that off, someone will land on them by the end of the fight. Maybe just TRIPPING on something. :-p If you really loved them, you shouldn't have brought them into a bar... with TeeDee! :-D

They are already casualties. Just toss them aside and get down to business. :-D
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:46 PM edit delete reply

theres a trope about this action...
Draginbeard 23rd Aug 2013, 1:23 AM edit delete reply

Hurt Locker...thats whats about to happen. Figured she would take the path most violent.
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:46 PM edit delete reply

but of course.. but whos gonna be more in hurt i wonder :D
Draginbeard 24th Aug 2013, 12:02 AM edit delete reply

Well, you've hinted that Marcus is pretty tough, but then TeeDee isnt going to go down easy--well not a second time anyway.

Its the old, who would win, Batman or Captain America debate. Both are expert tacticians, one specialized in setting traps, the other fighting his way out of them.

In this case, we will just have to wait and see how long it takes the local authority to bring in heavy enough munitions to sort things out.

My advice - Nuke the place from orbit. Its the only way to be sure.
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 4:54 AM edit delete reply

Batman would so clean Captain america's clock ... heck, he's gone up against Superman (in Batman : the Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller) and almost won.

And when Superman finally manages to win, because Batman suffers a heart attack ?
It turns out that was Batman's plan from the very beginning.

So much awesome in that comic.
Draginbeard 24th Aug 2013, 7:43 AM edit delete reply

Totally agree on Millers Dark Knight story. I remember wanting this to be the story they used for Tim Burtons first Batman movie, so bad...

Ive read some very compelling reasons why The captain would give Batman a serious run for his money.

Honestly, both of them have spent most of their careers getting out of every kind of trap imaginable. Even if one got the drop on the other, there would be no guarantee of victory.

Even still, I go with Batman prevailing in the end, but it would be a bitch of a fight!

Much like TeeDee vs. Marcus. Its not the best time or place to throw down, but I have to admit I want to see just what these two are capable of.
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 8:29 AM edit delete reply

I have no doubt that a fight between Batman and Captain America would be awfully close, but eventually I think Batman would win because he can be a sneaky bastard and Captain America is too honest a guy, when the chips come down.

And yeah, it will be interesting to see what Marcus & TeeDee can do.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:41 AM edit delete reply

Agreed Sheela. It should be entertaining, but also expensive. I have a feeling that the old line from the X-Men will apply here, you can always tell where they've been by the destruction they leave in their wake. :-D
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:17 AM edit delete reply

Nuke the place from orbit, Draginbeard? Isn't that a LITTLE harsh on the REST of the city? :-D Not that it might not be the SAFEST course, but I'm just saying. Actually, the safest course would be to try and contain it in the Lucky Strike. Let them finish THEN arrest the survivors (if any)! :-D
Draginbeard 24th Aug 2013, 9:37 AM edit delete reply

Life is cheap in this world. We've seen it again and again.

Nuke the site from orbit.

Let the First Circuit sort out the details.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:45 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, but who is going to call the strike down? I mean, the Justicars aren't going to want to drop a nuke on their OWN heads. :-D
Draginbeard 24th Aug 2013, 9:51 AM edit delete reply

I've already made the call.

I know people, who know people, who drop nukes on people.
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 10:08 AM edit delete reply

ROTFLMAO! Okay, I'll admit it that one got me. :-D
Centcomm 24th Aug 2013, 3:19 PM edit delete reply

LOL nukes.. wow you guys dont mess around..
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 3:28 PM edit delete reply

Well Dragin sure isn't. I was more in line with filling the halls outside with battle armor and keeping the fight inside the bar. :-D

Then when whomever survived the fights came out, arrest them. And if there are no survivors, loot their bodies and file the insurance claim. :-D
Weiser 23rd Aug 2013, 6:09 AM edit delete reply

Poor TeeDee ... at least her eppy is some kind of relief. Even a robot cannot swallow her anger incessantly.
Centcomm 24th Aug 2013, 3:19 PM edit delete reply

so very true
JustNoPoint 23rd Aug 2013, 7:47 AM edit delete reply

This action from TeeDee surprises me.

Oh wait, not that's the opposite of what it does!
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:47 PM edit delete reply

I was gonna say .. your surprised?
scassett 23rd Aug 2013, 9:54 AM edit delete reply

Physical Psychotherapy! The best kind. Wonder what the bill for damage will be?
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:47 PM edit delete reply

depends on what they do :D
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 9:46 AM edit delete reply

I think this goes on the scale they use for restaurants ($ being cheap and $$$$ being expensive)... So lets see... One bar, totaled... $$$$$$$$$$$$ :-D
Centcomm 24th Aug 2013, 10:59 AM edit delete reply

heh - its going to be pricy no matter what happens .. :D
cattservant 24th Aug 2013, 9:33 PM edit delete reply

And now you're going to pay the set back for being difficult!
Hornet 23rd Aug 2013, 9:58 AM edit delete reply
Start a fire, that's a good way to get people moving.
KarToon12 23rd Aug 2013, 10:52 AM edit delete reply

That thing reminds me of that Jedi/lightsaber training thing from Star Wars. XD
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:47 PM edit delete reply

that.. would be a toy to Dr silver :D
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 8:37 PM edit delete reply

Visually, I can see where you are coming from KarToon; however, functionally, Doctor Silver passed beyond that when she was playing back in elementary school. :-D
highlander55 23rd Aug 2013, 12:59 PM edit delete reply
Now for the orb to zap Teedee in the ass. I don't care what you say, that thar's funny!
( Ain't I a stinker!)
cattservant 23rd Aug 2013, 6:43 PM edit delete reply

"I knew (you) shoulda taken that left turn at Albuquerque!"
Don B. 25th Aug 2013, 7:38 PM edit delete reply
I'm thinking an ACME anvil dropped on her head might give her pause at this time but I wouldn't put money on it...
dougwarner59 23rd Aug 2013, 1:01 PM edit delete reply

I was planning on using an orb-like character in my comic, and seeing how much I like it in yours I think I will go ahead and do it.
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 5:22 PM edit delete reply

I had a character that I wanted to be an orb in CoH, which was never an option. :-(

Instead she was covered by a hologram and was named Hollyann (the 4 year old that found the computer couldn't properly pronounce hologram :-D). Was a Rad/Elec Defender that I eventually got to 50th. :-D

So I'm waiting to see what Dr. Silver's orbs can do in comparison. :-D Somehow I doubt that they have 5 holds available. :-D
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 6:17 PM edit delete reply

Oh man ... that reminds me of my old Ice controller ... nothing more awesome than putting the big bad ones on ice and leave the rest falling down on a giant icepatch.

Good times.
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 6:54 PM edit delete reply

I never got my Ice Controller to 50th. Silver was 45th level though, Ice/Kin. Fun character, though I LOVED my Illusion/Storm Controller. :-) I DID get Sapphire to 50th.

Yeah, fun times. Miss 'em.
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:49 PM edit delete reply

actually.. Dr silver is LOOSELY based on a robots / force field Master mind called Cyber-Kenesis .. one of the players Charcters in City of Villans..
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 7:56 PM edit delete reply

Ahhhhh... Dr. Silver is EVIL! (Why isn't she dressed in RED? :-D)

I never got into Masterminds, Controllers were more my thing. Only had 128 of them at shutdown. :-D
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 9:45 PM edit delete reply

I never got much into the City of Villains side too much ... but sure, I had a mastermind or two too.

Also fun times. :)
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 8:40 AM edit delete reply

I had ONE MM... And never even got it 20th. I NEVER played red side, but did pick up a few characters when could play the AT's blue side. :-)
Centcomm 24th Aug 2013, 11:00 AM edit delete reply

you would be surprised at what they can do :D
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 11:46 AM edit delete reply

No, I KNOW what they can do. They were awesome to team with.

I just hated the way they PLAYED. Didn't fit my play style at ALL. :-)
Centcomm 24th Aug 2013, 3:16 PM edit delete reply

didnt like the steamroller of death? LOL!
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 3:26 PM edit delete reply

Didn't like micro-managing pets and having THEM do everything. I preferred the Controller doing things and the pets jumping in and helping out. :-)
Centcomm 25th Aug 2013, 5:58 PM edit delete reply

hehe see I didnt mind :D I actually Duoed the roman TF with a healer after the rest of them bailed. :D
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 6:51 PM edit delete reply

I just couldn't get into the way you had to play MM's. I saw they could be awesome, but it just drove me buggy.

I was playing to have fun, to me MM's weren't fun. :-) I had the most fun with my Controllers. :-) Though I had a couple dozen defenders too... and I was having a BLAST with a Corruptor (Water/Storm) which I managed to get to 42nd level before the lights got turned off.

Sigh, oh well. Still sad NCSoft had to be that stupid. :-7
highlander55 23rd Aug 2013, 3:01 PM edit delete reply
To be honest and fair to Teedee. She was forced into this body without consent and humiliated by it. Along with her dislike for humans she now looks more human than before. I don't think an ass whopping is really what she needs but something to vent her underlying anger. Sort of bring it out and have her confront what ever it is she has buried deep inside her psych. Too mushy! Oh well. My random thought for the day.
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 5:07 PM edit delete reply

Well, it might just do that. Let her release her rage while Marcus gets to deflect the physical aspects of it.

I feel sorry for the Lucky Strike though. I feel that it is going to look like the aftermath of a METEOR strike, but it might cool TeeDee down. :-D

I'm sure hoping someone's insurance is up to the carnage that is about to ensue. :-D
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 6:19 PM edit delete reply

I feel confident that MArcus have enough slush funds to keep the insurance people at bay.

As for deflecting TeeDee's rage, I doubt it ... more likely, he'll pull off one of her arms and hit her over her head with it.
Stormwind13 23rd Aug 2013, 6:58 PM edit delete reply

No, no Sheela. Marcus wants TeeDee to help him out on the mission. He can beat her up, but not do anything TOO permanent to her.

So I think he is going to have to take his lumps to 'restore' his command structure. As long as they keep the guns out of it, I think he can do it too. Though not without some pain.
highlander55 23rd Aug 2013, 6:21 PM edit delete reply
After the rage usually comes depression. Then the blank stare of disconnect.
Centcomm 23rd Aug 2013, 7:49 PM edit delete reply

at highlander- thats what they are HOPING to aviod...

at stormwind good eye there .. as always :D
Sheela 23rd Aug 2013, 9:47 PM edit delete reply

Ah, but reattaching an arm is probably easily within Dr Silver and Ada's expertice.

Really, it's the blank stare of disconnect that's to be avoided at all costs. Physical damage can at least be repaired.
Guest 23rd Aug 2013, 11:24 PM edit delete reply
@Sheela, If the mind shuts down due to overload would really have no choice but to send Teedee back to New Troy for help. She could end up like Bunny for a long time.
Sheela 24th Aug 2013, 4:56 AM edit delete reply

Well, they do have Dr silver around, and she is an expert in the area of synthbrains - so conceivably she could get TeeDee rebooted from such a state.

But there would be some mental damage, maybe even some really serious damage.
Centcomm 24th Aug 2013, 3:18 PM edit delete reply

well to be fair a "field" repair is not the same as a lab repair and even though Dr silver is good and could give her back basic funtionality the arm would not function totally 100% that would sideline TD
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 6:34 PM edit delete reply

The mission is going to be hairy enough, you don't want to take a cripple into it for sure. That would be blood on the water for the sharks of Nova Roma.

with the information I have now.. if I had known... I would have sidlined teedee long before getting on this mission.. it is my error in overestimating her ability to control/contain herself and the problem that she has..
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 10:58 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, but who could you have replaced her with? The lack of prep time is biting you all in the butt on this one. But the mission can't be delayed, the cost of that could be TOO high. :-p

I don't envy you, Marcus as this mission could be put in the dictionary next to the entry for Charlie Foxtrot. :-D
Sheela 25th Aug 2013, 3:18 PM edit delete reply

Well, if the damage is so bad that you need a lab, I'm sure Mr Blacks knows someone, who knows someone who has a lab ... and Marcus would probably be able to ....persuade them to let Dr silver use said lab. :D
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 3:37 PM edit delete reply

Actually, you probably are right; however, time is NOT on their side. So the team probably can't afford to take the time to put TeeDee back into fighting trim if Marcus dismantles her.

They have burned up a lot of it already, but Mr. Black wasn't going to hurry any MORE than he already is. That is a good way to get dead, something Mr. Black seems to want to avoid! :-D
Centcomm 25th Aug 2013, 5:57 PM edit delete reply

Mister black keeps his own timetable - and hes keeping tabs on things in his own way. Cent trusts him to do his job as much as the rest of the team.
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 7:25 PM edit delete reply

Only 98% trust him, you mean. Kill him if he deviates and gets into the 2%, I think the instructions were. :-D
Marcus Ramesy 25th Aug 2013, 7:20 PM edit delete reply

there are pleanty I could have replaced her with, I have no shortage of competent individuals that are good at destroying things.. it is just that I have worked with teedee and ada so they are my first choice... and Im not intested in taking TeeDee apart.. not unles I have to..
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 7:35 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, I'm sure you had people to creatively put holes in things; however, this mission is close enough to suicide that dragging anything but the BEST in cuts already poor odds.

Six against the established military might (of a militaristic regime) is NOT good odds to start with.

Next to Charlie Foxtrot? I think SNAFU is better. Even the fan is going to be a casualty when the shit hits it.
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 8:13 PM edit delete reply

Well, is ANYTHING about this situation normal, Antonious? :-D

If this was to be considered NORMAL, I think more people would have melted down into brainless puddles before now. :-)

There is something to be said for the last part of SNAFU though, but I think Charlie Foxtrot covers it pretty well too. :-D

I'm beginning to wonder who Cent-comm considers the 'red herring' in this little pas de deux?
Sheela 25th Aug 2013, 8:56 PM edit delete reply

*looks innocent and stuffs her pibe*

>_<

Having just discovered this comic and having read through the archives, I can say I am truly impressed with the story line and sub plots, artwork, dialogue, mech/tech, robotics, pacing and layouts. I have bookmarked this strip for future updates. Keep up the good work.

OS.

The Old Scribe 24th Aug 2013, 9:04 PM edit delete reply

No worries. I keep my lunch money in my sock. (Did I say that out loud? Darn!)
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 11:11 PM edit delete reply

That is the WORST place you could put it, OS. I mean, a doggie that is trained to nibble on toes. The money will be easy for her to get to there! :-)
Sheela 25th Aug 2013, 8:57 PM edit delete reply

You put your money where ... ?

*looks delighted*
Stormwind13 24th Aug 2013, 8:44 AM edit delete reply

And if you like this comic, check out Luna Star too. It is the history lesson on the world CentComm and Tokyo Rose are building.

Oh, and if you REALLY like it, vote. The more votes the better. We have been trying to get Datachasers into the 50's (and have it STAY there). :-)
Stormwind13 25th Aug 2013, 7:09 PM edit delete reply

Now if CentComm was TRULY evil (which, come to think of it she is :-D), she would post her next update... showing what KYLE is up to. }:-D~>

Leave us all hanging for another month (actually, probably all the way until next year with the move) before finding out how the bar brawl is progressing. :-D
cattservant 25th Aug 2013, 7:59 PM edit delete reply

Look how long things were 'left hanging'* in Joleet!
