And so the mayhem begins...
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 9:00 PM edit delete reply

So far the damage isn't too bad. :-D But I think you are right, velvet it is ONLY beginning. :-D
highlander55 26th Aug 2013, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

It would be funny as hell if CentComm added the Clapper to Teedee. Clap on Clap off the Clapper!!
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 1:00 PM edit delete reply

LOL too funny
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 8:58 PM edit delete reply

Congrats to ilayas. :-)

And we finally get to see where you needed the Luna Card for. :-)
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 1:00 PM edit delete reply

yup that we do !
Draginbeard 26th Aug 2013, 9:00 PM edit delete reply

Gratz ilayas!

TeeDee must be planning something big. Looks like she needs a lot of space to maneuver in.

Its not like Marcus is in any danger of getting hit by the pool table, not with as fast as he can move.

One thing is looking more and more clear, this is going to be an expensive brawl.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 5:48 PM edit delete reply

oh you have no idea how expensive this could get :D
highlander55 26th Aug 2013, 9:02 PM edit delete reply

HA HA, Keno still rules in the taverns. When does Bingo start? And a horse with an astronaut.
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

Don't think it is that kind of bar, highlander. Don't think Bingo would go well here.

The keno machine is pretty standard in a lot of bars though. You are right though, it still rules. :-D One more way to get the drunk's money.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 1:00 PM edit delete reply

actually .. thats a ATM but its hard to see...
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 5:15 PM edit delete reply

It is? But, but... It says KenoCorp... I can't read the actual TEXT on the screen, but I could read that. And it does remind me of the bar machines for sucking more money out of your pockets. :-)
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 5:47 PM edit delete reply

it actually says "Xenocorp" but thats ok its hard to read after reduction and processing :P its basicly a Luna ATM I admit the X looks like a K at this level :D
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 9:04 PM edit delete reply

The poor barkeep is trying to figure out what the flying orb is doing. When she should have just grabbed the card and RUN! :-D
Don B. 26th Aug 2013, 9:09 PM edit delete reply
Panel 1, behind Veronica's left shoulder-"I was horse riding on the moon one day..."
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 9:12 PM edit delete reply

That's kind of what it looked like to me too, Don. I was trying to figure it out before commenting on it myself.

Cranking up the magnification, it looks like a mechanical horse and the guy is in a space suit, so yeah it is on the moon or some other hostile body. Still seems kind of strange.

Good eye Don. :-)
Don B. 26th Aug 2013, 9:45 PM edit delete reply
The Earth in the sky was a dead giveaway but I couldn't tell if the horse was mechanical. Stands to reason though considering the location. Paul revere on a motorcycle, an equestrian astronaut...what's next? A fish in a spaceship...oh wait, I think that's part of Data Chasers canon...
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 9:53 PM edit delete reply

Absolutely, Don. Back in the S&R comics (currently page 119) we are introduced to the fishies (Crian). :-D
Tokyo Rose 28th Aug 2013, 6:03 PM edit delete reply

If I lived on the moon and could build a robo-horse to ride around on, I would so do it. Except mine would be a robot unicorn that shoots rainbow lasers. And it would have built-in speakers to play Erasure's "Always" on a never-ending loop.
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 7:13 PM edit delete reply

Only problem with that Rose, no air on the moon so the speakers wouldn't do you any good. :-D You would have to have headphones, ear buds or something to hear it. :-)
jamie59 26th Aug 2013, 9:11 PM edit delete reply

Luna Card don't leave home without it.

So Teedee starts by drop kicking a cue ball!
highlander55 26th Aug 2013, 9:13 PM edit delete reply

She kicked the pool table at Marcus.
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 9:46 PM edit delete reply

Love the line by Dr. Silver, Rose... "Hey, card here." :-D

Ignore the man behind the curtain kind of line. :-D
Tokyo Rose 28th Aug 2013, 6:05 PM edit delete reply

What I found the most fun about the dialogue in this section - besides coming up with rude things for Teedee to say - was Silver's totally blase attitude.

And the fact that I hear the bartender's voice with a Minnesota accent.
Stormwind13 28th Aug 2013, 7:43 PM edit delete reply

I was thinking Northern Exposure myself. :-)
Mayyday 26th Aug 2013, 10:28 PM edit delete reply

Special points for "fuckwich." :)
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:24 PM edit delete reply

that is now the word of the day :D
KarToon12 26th Aug 2013, 10:36 PM edit delete reply

Those billiard balls would make great weapons.
Stormwind13 26th Aug 2013, 10:50 PM edit delete reply

Not sure about GREAT weapons KarToon, but they could be used for weapons. :-)

At TeeDee's and Marcus' level of skill though, not sure how effective the billiard balls would be. I think they would dodge, catch or deflect them. :-)
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:24 PM edit delete reply

i think your right :D
Tokyo Rose 28th Aug 2013, 6:08 PM edit delete reply

< know-it-all bullshit artist >
Ah, yes, the ritual "juggling combat". A common method of settling disputes among certain Wastelander tribes, you know.

Rashala 26th Aug 2013, 10:42 PM edit delete reply

OKay I am offering 10 to one odd That Tedee manages to break those glasses of MArcus's right off his face...any takes?
Don B. 26th Aug 2013, 11:37 PM edit delete reply
She might be able to do that, but he's not wearing them. I'm too honest to take that bet.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:23 PM edit delete reply

LOL hes already removed them :P
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 5:19 PM edit delete reply

Marcus should just toss them on the floor now. I mean, he talked about saving them in a bar fight. :-p I mean that guarantees they are doomed. :-D
Don B. 26th Aug 2013, 10:50 PM edit delete reply
Y'know, it's kinda strange seeing Veronica being so reasonable. Her expression of trustworthy earnestness comes close to rivaling (but not quite matching) CeCi.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:24 PM edit delete reply

LOL - shes trying to be nice to the barkeep
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 5:26 PM edit delete reply

I think Veronica wants the bar CLEARED... Now even! And the fastest way to do that is to be nice in this case.

Barkeeps are used to surly, combative people... People that are nice to them can get past their defenses. :-D

So Veronica is trying to help get the place cleared. If she can get the barkeep out, everyone else (besides the combatants) should be out too. :-)
ilayas 26th Aug 2013, 11:16 PM edit delete reply

Thanks everyone I had fun throwing that card together! I just hope it's up to the task at hand. Things look like they are about to get very expensive.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:17 PM edit delete reply

you totally deserve the praise - it was picked by 4 people rose had a hard time deciding..
cattservant 27th Aug 2013, 12:18 AM edit delete reply

Take the card and go across town to a fancy restaurant!
mjkj 27th Aug 2013, 3:08 AM edit delete reply

That would be the safest... :)

...get as far away as fast as you can.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:23 PM edit delete reply

LOL :D
mjkj 27th Aug 2013, 3:22 AM edit delete reply

Congratulation ilayas.

Though, CentComm, I wonder why the credit card only has a twelve digit number, when credit cards now already have sixteen - I think it should at least have twenty or more digits in eighteenhundred years...
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 6:14 AM edit delete reply

Fewer humans now, mjkj. I mean after all the years and the aftermath of that. Might be enough fewer people that they don't need that many numbers.
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 1:02 PM edit delete reply

there arent many Luna High end cards there are also 3 other bits of info on the card .. city code / area code and then the card number :D
Weiser 27th Aug 2013, 3:47 AM edit delete reply

Wuzzat? A little bit of selfdestruction (as a substitute for TeeDee's missing psychological adaptation process) before the actual Roma-mission begins?
Or rather instead of it?
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:16 PM edit delete reply

there ya go
Hornet 27th Aug 2013, 9:44 AM edit delete reply
She's worried about being weak when she's kicking around a 700+\- pool table... :P
Centcomm 27th Aug 2013, 3:16 PM edit delete reply

yeah shes "weak" but more what shes complaining about is "skin" and looking human.
Stormwind13 27th Aug 2013, 5:18 PM edit delete reply

Self perception and REALITY aren't always the same thing Hornet. :-)
Highlander55 27th Aug 2013, 6:25 PM edit delete reply
Have her perception changed to think she is the Robot from Lost in Space and see how she reacts.
Don B. 27th Aug 2013, 8:53 PM edit delete reply
"She is the danger, danger, Will Robinson!!"
JustNoPoint 29th Aug 2013, 10:18 AM edit delete reply

The card makes it in! WOOT!
