I see she is going to be given some classic shonen anime therapy. Fistfights make everything better!
Centcomm 1st Sep 2013, 8:13 PM edit delete reply

also known as a "wall to wall counseling session"
Rashala 1st Sep 2013, 8:45 PM edit delete reply

REminds me of that movie What about Bob.....and the DEATH THERAPY....he underwent with the bombs strapped to his neck
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:17 AM edit delete reply

heh...
jamie59 1st Sep 2013, 8:18 PM edit delete reply

This is going just the way he wants. He probably knows all Teedee's weak points.
This is pure torture for Ada isn't it?
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2013, 8:21 PM edit delete reply

Well Marcus THINKS he knows all TeeDee's buttons, but she is out of WAY out of line. So, Marcus can't be sure of what she is going to do.

And yeah, Ada cares for BOTH Marcus and TeeDee, so this has to be pure TORMENT for her. :-7
Antonious 2nd Sep 2013, 5:39 PM edit delete reply

I do not think the weak points jamie59 mentioned are TeeDee's buttons. I am thinking he meant structural weak points. Points that if properly attacked will bring this fight to a satisfactory conclusion for all.

I bet if done properly hits to those points will limit TeeDee's ability to wreak havoc without immediately incapacitating her. This increases Marcus' survivability while allowing him to help TeeDee work out some of her issues in a "controlled" way. "Controlled", heh heh, controlled in the same meaning as controlled demolition.
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:17 AM edit delete reply

yes it is. Ada isnt happy .
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2013, 8:18 PM edit delete reply

I love the barkeep's comment here. :-D Try to leave the building standing. And she is looking at the Luna Bank card like it will be her salvation. :-D
Mayyday 1st Sep 2013, 8:25 PM edit delete reply

Well to be fair, it probably WILL be...
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2013, 8:52 PM edit delete reply

Well since they aren't going with firearms I think they have a BETTER chance of leaving things standing then might have been the case.
ranger_brianna_new 1st Sep 2013, 11:33 PM edit delete reply

Actually, probably vice-versa. Unless the firearms all have default power settings that are strong enough to blow up a wall (okay, admittedly, not out of the question, but you'd think that'd be a bit overkill :P), then a prolonged battle between superhuman individuals is going to be more messy than a quick pistol duel would be.
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2013, 11:42 PM edit delete reply

A laser weapon against anything that can burn would make a terrible mess. I don't know what Marcus is carrying, but TeeDee had a laser for sure. In a bar (with all the wonderful Molotov cocktails in the making) would burn QUITE well I think. :-)
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:16 AM edit delete reply

Honetly ... im not sure eather one would go down to a single gunshot wound.
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 9:23 AM edit delete reply

Guess it depends on the gun, CentComm. :-D
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 5:10 PM edit delete reply

thats totally true :D
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 5:20 PM edit delete reply

Now with what Marcus and TeeDee are carrying, unless Marcus' weapon has some non-typical ammo (which knowing him, it MIGHT), I doubt either of them would fold on one hit. They are both well above 'normal' in their toughness.
Tokyo Rose 2nd Sep 2013, 5:47 PM edit delete reply

Does it really count as "being shot" in the traditional sense when the gun in question is firing shells that weigh over a ton and can delete chunks of the surrounding area?
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 6:22 PM edit delete reply

Since the shell in question is bigger than the TARGET, probably not Rose. :-D I mean, the shells were like 2700 pounds. So they shoot a small car at things. =O
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2013, 8:24 PM edit delete reply

The sub-text of the comic says it all, "this could have been (MUCH) WORSE."

As it is, I fear it will still be painful and messy. We will find out how painful and messy in the next few pages.
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:15 AM edit delete reply

yeh pretty much
Rashala 1st Sep 2013, 8:41 PM edit delete reply

Okay....MArcus.....are we...compensating for some....Short comings with such a large Side arm like that?
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2013, 8:50 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, compensating for the fact he is taking a group into Nova Roma where he is going to be outnumbered 10,000 to 1 (even with Mr. Black's additional 'help') and counting the ORBS as full members. Takes a big gun to deal with those numbers. :-D
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:15 AM edit delete reply

LOL
Rashala 2nd Sep 2013, 4:00 PM edit delete reply

Wrong kind of compensating there stormy
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 5:12 PM edit delete reply

I'm not going to suggest any OTHER reason Marcus might have to compensate for, Rash. Not going to give him ANY reason to target ME. :-D
Marcus Ramesy 3rd Sep 2013, 11:49 AM edit delete reply

the weapon in question is used normaly used by individuals in powerd armor... its not generaly used unless your augmented in some way or another...
cattservant 1st Sep 2013, 9:01 PM edit delete reply

Meat, Metal and Motivations!
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:15 AM edit delete reply

yep
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2013, 9:46 PM edit delete reply

Marcus is REALLY trying to get TeeDee to stop targeting anyone else. He looks pretty bad-ass in the first panel there. Especially with the shield crackling behind him.

Now, TeeDee seems to be carrying a Bulldog 7 Mk5 Laser weapon; however, I don't see Marcus' gun on the Tech Page. Something else for CentComm to work on (in between packing and making more comics for us). :-D
mjkj 2nd Sep 2013, 6:37 AM edit delete reply

Panel three is TeeDee with her gun and panel four is Marcus with his gun - you can see TeeDee's bare hand and Marcus' half-gloved hand.
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:14 AM edit delete reply

the piticular weapon marcus is carrying is a MK 5 spartan blaster. more impact force and knock down than a laser.
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 8:31 AM edit delete reply

And where is the entry for said weapon? ::Scowls at CentComm::

:-D
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 5:10 PM edit delete reply

gah.. still not done .. there are other tech bits i need to do too .. jst have to find the time >_<
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 5:14 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, I know. Just have to give you a LITTLE bit of grief. :-D I thank you for all the time you DO spend on the comic. :-)
Keera 1st Sep 2013, 11:54 PM edit delete reply
That third panel looks quitee akward. Are the two facing each other, or does one of them have a reverse thumbs?
Dianna Silver 2nd Sep 2013, 1:42 AM edit delete reply

They *are* facing one another, but the camera angle changes between panels three and four so that both panels are being taken from the same shot more or less towards the right hip and the firearm on it, with a tighter shot on Marcus's gun in P4 than TeeDee's gun in P3. Thus the point of view shifts from one side of the bar in P3 to the other side of the bar in P4.

Doesn't look awkward to me, and considering the figures used for the characters, it would be really hard to get someone with reversed thumbs. One reason why I like working in DAZ Studio with 3D models as well as opposed to drawing: It keeps things in proportion and perspective.
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:13 AM edit delete reply

umm yeah Dianna already said all the technical stuff :D
Fairportfan 2nd Sep 2013, 12:07 AM edit delete reply

Situation like that, making any move toward your gun - even to toss it aside - is likely to get you shot (at) if the other guy is as keyed up as yo are.

Wild Bill Hickock killed his own deputy when the guy came up behind him unexpectedly after Hickock had just survived a shootout.

(BTW: Favourite trivia question: What was Wild Bill Hickock's real/full name?)
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:12 AM edit delete reply

while that is true - Marcus wanted to see what she would do. and thankfully she put it aside.
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 8:30 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, Marcus was VERY disciplined there. I was thinking the same thing you were, Fairport. TeeDee was very lucky Marcus correctly interpreted her actions as a throw away, not a draw. That could have gotten VERY messy.

Oh and Wild Bill's real name was James Butler Hickok, Fairportfan. :-) I'm believe that Butler was his mother's maiden name.
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 5:09 PM edit delete reply

yes it would .. very messy
Lurker 2nd Sep 2013, 5:08 AM edit delete reply
You know, if the new James Bond looked like Marcus, I might be interested in watching...

That is one of the most bad-ass looking guys I've seen in a while.
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:12 AM edit delete reply

heh ill take that as a complimment - im normally not that great at making guys
mjkj 2nd Sep 2013, 6:32 AM edit delete reply

Wow, Marcus succeeded.

*looking forward to the bar-fight*

Poor Ada, though...

PS: When are you moving?

PPS: Yayy for new vote incentive :D
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 8:11 AM edit delete reply

My stuff gets moved the 30th of sept, and im flying to phenoix with my kitty on the 5th of oct. glad you like the new inceintive :D
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 8:40 AM edit delete reply

Now, would your kitty be related to the kitty from 'Assignment Earth'? (go to 47:58, if you don't remember it). :-D
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 5:09 PM edit delete reply

hmm i cant actually see that clip i get a ad blocker warning :D
Stormwind13 2nd Sep 2013, 5:24 PM edit delete reply

:-( I just let the ad play. It was annoying, but not dangerous.
Kuratenshi 2nd Sep 2013, 2:43 PM edit delete reply

Heh. I know he wouldn't use the line but "If my ass is tin, it just means it isn't rusty like yours." pops into mind.
Centcomm 2nd Sep 2013, 5:08 PM edit delete reply

LOL i like that line :D
KarToon12 2nd Sep 2013, 6:39 PM edit delete reply

I really like the angle in panel three. :D
Mark_L_A 11th May 2015, 2:06 AM edit delete reply

Just where are their holsters? Or are their Magpads on the clothes to hold their weapons without a holster?

Nice weapons safety by Ada, Finger OFF the trigger even on a stunner.
Centcomm 11th May 2015, 3:05 AM edit delete reply

they use mag strips to hold the weapons or lock devices and yes Finger discipline is practiced here :D
