Up for some more Marcus? Love the puzzled look on Connie's face.
Centcomm 10th Sep 2013, 9:28 PM edit delete reply

hehe that came out really well :D
highlander55 10th Sep 2013, 9:23 PM edit delete reply

Thing is Marcus' voice sounds like Mickey Mouse. LOL

Ok I've been patient- What the hell does a Justicar look like? Only thing comes to mind is Doc Hudson.
Centcomm 10th Sep 2013, 9:28 PM edit delete reply

dont worry you will see the Justicars soon enough :D

actually.. Fridays update :D
cattservant 10th Sep 2013, 9:33 PM edit delete reply

anarcha 10th Sep 2013, 9:36 PM edit delete reply

Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 10:56 AM edit delete reply

anarcha 11th Sep 2013, 1:02 PM edit delete reply

whew, thought I had missed something!
Marcus Ramesy 10th Sep 2013, 9:39 PM edit delete reply

and Ada looks incredibly pissed...
Rashala 10th Sep 2013, 11:01 PM edit delete reply

Is she near the snap point!?!?!?

naaaaaah
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 10:57 AM edit delete reply

Ada gets "irritated" and "annoyed" she rarely gets down right ANGRY. and unlike TD she has a iron grip on her emotions :D
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 10:56 AM edit delete reply

doesnt she though?
Don B. 10th Sep 2013, 9:44 PM edit delete reply
I like the reasonable Veronica. I get a kick out of snarky diva princess Veronica as much as the next person, but it's good to see a different aspect of her personality from time to time. Same with TeeDee...I'm hoping that this will allow her to calm the hell down and save the aggression for the enemy where it belongs. Her rage was getting to the point of rabid dog by the time Marcus called her out. I really like her as a character but would hate to see her reduced to a one dimensional rage monster. Of course nothing I've seen in 1034 pages of Data Chasers leads me to believe that will happen. The writing of this comic is on par with one of my favorite writers, David Weber, who wrote "The Path of the Furies" that was mentioned in a recent comment.I have ALL of his books (that's a lot of books) and recommend pretty much any of them to those who like Data Chasers like Sci-Fi. I would say that if you are going to start, look up a list of his books and start at the beginning of each series.
mudge 11th Sep 2013, 12:48 AM edit delete reply
David Weber? The guy who wrote (or is still writing) the Safehold saga? Gah.
Don B. 11th Sep 2013, 11:32 AM edit delete reply
Yes Mudge, that's the same writer. I wasn't kidding when I said that's a lot of books. Weber tends to write space opera stuff but has put out some pretty decent one offs. I started with the Honor Harrington series and he's STILL writing that one. Fine by me, I love the Honorverse.
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 10:59 AM edit delete reply

Dr silver has layers .. like a onion. also thank you for the kind words. I know Rose is a fan of many many authors. as are we both. one of the things I try to emulate is the way TV shows are shot. however i use a lot more camera angles. but ive been researching :D
Tokyo Rose 12th Sep 2013, 6:24 AM edit delete reply

Did . . . did I just get compared to David Weber?

/faints dead away
Centcomm 12th Sep 2013, 9:06 AM edit delete reply

yup .. I think you did. * catches her *
cattservant 10th Sep 2013, 9:44 PM edit delete reply

And TeeDee hasn't stood-down her SLTs yet either...
Highlander55 10th Sep 2013, 10:07 PM edit delete reply
Maybe there not SLT's but proximity sensors. You know-- like cat whiskers.
cattservant 11th Sep 2013, 4:11 AM edit delete reply

Maybe they are popup thermometers for turkey surveillance...
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 10:59 AM edit delete reply

Faceplams..
Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 11:06 AM edit delete reply

Plams ? On your face ?
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 11:17 AM edit delete reply

har har :D
Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 1:42 PM edit delete reply

... buuuut ...

they are funnay. :)
Highlander55 11th Sep 2013, 2:03 PM edit delete reply
That'as it Cat- their not sensors or lasers. Their adjustment knobs to get her tuned into her erogenous zone. Sort of like tuning an old time radio. (LMAORONF)
HIghlander55 10th Sep 2013, 10:15 PM edit delete reply
Speaking of steakhouse. I don't remember seeing any cows in any panels so far in the story! (Reminds me of the burger Demolition Man ate in the underground)
velvetsanity 10th Sep 2013, 10:20 PM edit delete reply

"This is the best ratburger I've ever had" :D
Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 11:07 AM edit delete reply

Lots of meat on murder turds too. :)
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 11:18 AM edit delete reply

so very true. again there are a lot of large beastys out there .. some of them are even not murderous psychotic nightmares :D
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 11:01 AM edit delete reply

they have animals that serve the same purpose. Ungulate type animals were nearly wiped out by viral warfare. but are making a comeback slowly by forced genetic engineerning and donations of genetic stock, one of the things Roma does have is a small but robost Ungulate group of animals seen to by the Church of genetic purity.

as for "hamburgers" in New Troy meat is vat grown from soy protines and mixed with various processes to resemble meat and serve the same function.
Highlander55 11th Sep 2013, 1:59 PM edit delete reply
Soy Burgers? Blaa!
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 2:10 PM edit delete reply

Note Lynns reaction to the "real" food served in Roma. she was surprised that it actually tasted good. even though the looks and texture mildly digusted her.
mjkj 10th Sep 2013, 10:16 PM edit delete reply

Hey, I like the bar owner's bar-gaining abilities.

So, is Marcus giving? Or why is the protector globe powering down?

I believe TeeDee still need some dressing down...

...hmm, she might get that from Ada, as fed up as she looks.

...and I like Connie's reasoning :)
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 11:04 AM edit delete reply

the orb is powering down because it has decided there is no "dangerous" threat to Doctor silver. and the shield requires massive amounts of power.
CyberSkull 10th Sep 2013, 11:50 PM edit delete reply

CyberSkull 11th Sep 2013, 9:49 AM edit delete reply

Scouter… scouter!

*cough*
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 11:05 AM edit delete reply

once again .. faceplams. I had no idea what a "scouter" was so i can only assume you are refering to a certain "cartoon"
Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 1:44 PM edit delete reply

faceplams .. they are now a thing. :)
CyberSkull 11th Sep 2013, 1:47 PM edit delete reply

Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 2:32 PM edit delete reply

Rashala 11th Sep 2013, 6:07 PM edit delete reply

CyberSkull 11th Sep 2013, 8:11 PM edit delete reply

Unfortunately they are just plastic.

But the way smartphones have been going…
Draginbeard 11th Sep 2013, 1:29 AM edit delete reply

Its sinking in for TeeDee, but Marcus owes her one for that shot below the belt still.
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 11:05 AM edit delete reply

Yep, but will he collect?
Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 1:45 PM edit delete reply

Frankly, she might be disappointed if he doesn't,
JustNoPoint 11th Sep 2013, 7:51 AM edit delete reply

Maybe she has this being recorded anyway and can charge people to watch a great fight!!!
Centcomm 11th Sep 2013, 11:06 AM edit delete reply

OH yes she has a DVD collection " Atha's greatest bar fights".. :D she sells them for 50 credits a pop :D
Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 2:33 PM edit delete reply

Ah .. but this fight might get a DVD all it's own.
KarToon12 11th Sep 2013, 11:35 AM edit delete reply

Man, this bartender is super chill. XD
Sheela 11th Sep 2013, 1:45 PM edit delete reply

Well, considering she's not loosing any money, and her bar is almost completely intact still ... it's not like she's loosing much.
Centcomm 12th Sep 2013, 8:41 AM edit delete reply

like sheela said ,, money can be a universal balm :D
Highlander55 11th Sep 2013, 6:56 PM edit delete reply
I've been thinking about the repercussions of this little disturbance concerning the mission. New Roma will here about a group who has money (Dr Silvers Luna card), Her high tech and expensive orb as well as top of the line security. Big money for a field expedition and not afraid to show it or spend it. Could be a convincing front they are what they seem to be, an Archaeological expedition. It could work to their advantage.
Centcomm 12th Sep 2013, 8:41 AM edit delete reply

well the cover IS "rich scientist" funding a expedition to the wastes for something :D
