I can't help but observe that if this month had been JUST the move, or JUST the computer getting borked, the overall stress level involved would be, like, less than half of what it is.

Personally I'm just pleased that the trip to the clinic went well. No problems there at all. I didn't even have to hate anybody, or release the Death Glare, or call anyone a self-righteous morality-masturbating dickwaffle. As long as they get the issue with the BP meds sorted out, we're good.

We will just make navel observations whilst you achieve.
However:
We also would very much prefer that you adopt a pace that keeps your 'mule' (and Aslan too!) both healthy and happy!
Centcomm 31st Oct 2013, 2:01 AM edit delete reply

well the good news is everything from here on out is FIXABLE .. with eather time .. or luck. Light Star here was a test to see how much crap genesis was going to give me. and I spent most of the day on these >_< mostly rebuilding her.

and I pick up new BP meds hopfully tomorrow .
Sheela 31st Oct 2013, 3:28 AM edit delete reply

Well, the upshot to this, is that the second time you do something, you often catch some of the errors you made the first time - Thus some minor bugfixing over the old genesis models might happen all by itself. So in the long run you could be slightly better off.

As for BP meds, I'm curious, which do you use ?
My better three-quarters are on BP meds too, and I'm curious if it's anything we're familiar with.
Centcomm 31st Oct 2013, 3:36 AM edit delete reply

I was taking a drug called Atenidol (sic ) then they put me on one called lisinopril

but that one had a interaction with the other meds im on sooo bad stuff.. basicly half my body went numb for like 2 min >_<

Scary stuff..
mjkj 31st Oct 2013, 3:47 AM edit delete reply

Oh, I am glad it was only 2 mins...

*hugs*
Sheela 31st Oct 2013, 5:01 AM edit delete reply

Ah, we use Lisinopril here too, I hear, but not with that effect ... sounds like a most unpleasant experience.

As I understand it, we use Lisinopril + Clodipogrel + something called Metoprolosuccinat ... uhm .. oh and something against cholesterol .. Simvastatin I think ? I'd have to ask, to be sure.
Dragonrider 31st Oct 2013, 10:42 AM edit delete reply

If leg cramps from the Simvastatin are a problem ask your Doc about a switch to Lovasstatin cuts cramp problem in less than half. Also read the research about the connection between memory loss and any of the statins, fun stuff, not.

I know its been a rough, stress filled couple of months, but its starting to look a little brighter, on the comic front at least =)

I know l would go batty if l had to navigate the same technical mine field you walked in the last few weeks!

Stormwind13 31st Oct 2013, 11:20 AM edit delete reply

Well glad you are making visible progress. Getting back into things that you like to do, not that you just HAVE to do.

Also glad they got your meds straightened out. That doesn't sound like it was fun at ALL. :-p

Don't worry, be HAPPY (-ier). :-)
mjkj 31st Oct 2013, 3:45 AM edit delete reply

Karyl 31st Oct 2013, 11:51 AM edit delete reply
So happy for all of us that you are back!
Seriously though, when it comes to blood pressure meds, please ask your docs about CoQ10,which protects the heart muscles when taking statins. It's a huge difference in how well your body adapts long term. That's for anyone on pressure meds. Also, although you'll never hear a doc recommend it, there are garlic extracts that can significantly lower or control blood pressure, and if you want more info, just ask me here. :)
Stormwind13 31st Oct 2013, 1:04 PM edit delete reply

Talk to your doctor for sure, CentComm before adding anything. And there are some potential side effects of CoQ10 that you might want to avoid. I found information here on CoQ10 that you could look at.

As for garlic I found this on it. There does seem to be benefits to garlic, but check the interaction tab to ensure that it won't reduce the effectiveness of anything else you are taking. :-)
Centcomm 31st Oct 2013, 1:12 PM edit delete reply

will do - shes changing out the med for one that wont interact ( on paper ) with the other stuff im taking so theroticly things will be better soon :D
Karyl 1st Nov 2013, 11:15 AM edit delete reply
Yeah, CoQ10 is not normally ever taken in anything like 300mg per day, so that's not usually a concern. Generally the recommendations are about 60 mg along with the statins.
As to garlic, Enzymatic Therapy's product Garlinase delivers 5000 mcg of allicin and has been used for decades by now. :) Anyway, FOR SURE, talk to the doc!

I had no idea you liked salmon. My parents tend to give me some every year even though I'm not a huge fan. (they are snowbirds from Alaska) Next time they drop some off... :D
Centcomm 31st Oct 2013, 10:51 PM edit delete reply

salmon....
Stormwind13 1st Nov 2013, 6:34 PM edit delete reply

Salmon is GOOD for you, in moderation at least. :-) I had some earlier today even. Not as good as that in Alaska, but not bad. :-D
Sheela 1st Nov 2013, 6:56 PM edit delete reply

Interestingly, I don't think I have ever met someone who didn't like Salmon at all.
Stormwind13 1st Nov 2013, 7:22 PM edit delete reply

I have. :-)
