::Image of the exterior of Helios Tower. Pink haired dolls appear and began encircling the tower just outside the sel-cast denial zone. Eyes burning in anger the dolls stare at the tower, but are unable to receive information from or alter events inside the tower now::
Hmmm... I thought that last command set pulled away the combat drones from CentComm's control. At least the way I'm reading seemed to indicate that CentComm can't give them any MORE commands.
I guess I was mistaken, reading too much into it, because I thought she had activated the Sel-Cast denial screen. I guess she just has them turned on, but not actually projecting, yet. I do see that Calliope didn't sever her links to the city, but she prepped that to go off if she breaths hard.
I think I'm not the only one that thought more had already gone on than actually had, from some of the comments here. :-D Tell Rose, BAD (evil) entity, no cookies for her for teasing the commenters (Great job on the dialogue making us all jump a moment before we should have)! :-D
I think we are at DEFCON 2, and Calliope is ready, almost EAGER, to go to 1! :-)
Agreed. Looks to me she told the security matrix to prepare all defenses and have them on standby.
And, yes, she locked the combat drones down - They are HER combat drones after all.
In fact, I'm kinda surprised that Centcomm didn't bring her own drones, ah well, she's gotten complacent from years of pushing Calliope around. A bit sloppy.
See what I originally read it as (and apparently wasn't alone in that) is that she was calling up security protocols and GIVING the password to activate them.
Apparently what Calliope was doing though is calling up the protocols and ASSIGNING the activation words. I never expected her to do that, seems like she should have already had them ready to activate. In a lot of security situations the time you have to react can be quite small.
Unless CentComm got the fire command off before Calliope locked her out. Or unless any of the combat units have their communication links cut so they can't receive new commands, velvet.
Well Calli, you just made the decision, congratulations!! Now Evil-1 eat frustration...Bitch.
BTW, Cali that was one hell of a double brass bound pair you grew. Good on you. Now Mira and message plus the other message will get to Calli intact.
Yeah, you got that right Sheela. Size has NOTHING to do with it. The Momma goes, threat to cub, REMOVE said threat. Momma bear will charge into certain death to protect its cub, and is very likely to do a LOT of damage before she dies.
Calliope has a big advantage over the Momma bear though, she has a BRAIN which makes her immensely more dangerous!
Meanwhile back at her Main core Centy is slapping her cyber forehead going* Helios Darn it* And Somewhere Tokyo rose is watching and falling over laughing As Centys doll gets her strings cut*
I used to say: "You can't fall off the floor." Then I found out the earth can open up and eat you. The amazing thing about life is that it is NEVER so bad that it can't be worse.
Seems like Calliope decided that the floor belongs to her, and it's time to tell the world that it's hers, dammit.
And anyone who steps upon the floor better be damned well ready to face her wrath if they anger her.
*Mira sees the puppet drop and the drones go silent and motionless, waits, after a minute or two runs out of patience and lights up like a kid in a candy store as she strips the reapers down to bare components* :D
Note that the "Dolly Six-Six-Zeta" protocol caused the system to ask Calli to specify options, which she proceeded to do. It's the overall security program, not a separate thing.
Also, keep in mind that Officer Allie is an independent android; she is not a combat drone or a Cent-Comm "doll".
Dolly is THE GUARDIAN of the Taylor family. In the past, now and ALWAYS. :-) So yes Sheela she is tied into ALL of the security features surrounding the Taylors.
No, no, Dolly have a limited lifespan, if I understand it right, so she won't be forever.
However, that was not what I was alluding to.
I was thinking that the Tower Defense (I see what you did there btw) is an integral part of dolly, and she is an integral part of it.
Which begs the question, will Dolly now get a million text messages trough Luna-Comm that the tower Defenses are coming online ?
Heck, if Dolly can connect remotely to the helious tower, then Centcomm might suddenly face two angry momma bears. XD
Those commands are only for the Drones and Doll systems. I'm an android. It wouldn't affect me.
Ms. Taylor might, well, probably does have something that could over ride my autonomous system. However it wouldn't do anything to me outside of the building. It might to Officer Ray or to Minx, but I don't think Ms. Taylor would do that without letting either of them knowing about it before hand.
Douche Bag needs to hope his own people kill him off. If Calliope comes to do the job, it will be something so horrific that it is whispered about for millennium to come. :-D
Oh yes.. the story is about to "heat up" as it were.. Any one remember what Liam Neeson's charcter said to the kidnappers in "Taken" ( chuckles softly ) She may not be physicly imposeing but she has her ways.
"...If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you." Was that the piece you were thinking of, CentComm? :-D
No, I know what you mean... and stupid is going to be in a WORLD of hurt I think. If he's lucky, Max will get to him first. If Dolly or Calliope get to him... It will NOT be pretty.
Indeed, it does seem that *some* fecal matter might be about to make both high speed and violent physical contact with the currently selected, electric-magnetic powered oscillating air current distribution device - Which stand on a rotary foot, offcourse.
This could be highly degatory to the structural integrity of both the fecal matter and the rotary vane unit on the oscillating air current distribution device and may also cause quite a mess on the nearby onlookers.
Actually, the further we get in development, the more likely that the rotary engines will be more prevalent as they are very compact and quite powerful.
The main issues of them right now, is wear and tear on the main seals of the rotary unit.
Well, the problems (which go beyond wear and tear BTW) seem pretty much inherent to the Wankler design. While a few decades ago there might have been hope to find workarounds, at this point it looks pretty much failed for good.
BTW, I doubt internal combustion engines of *any* kind will survive this century.
yes she got that from when Fallon died. the doctors in New troy could have removed it but she refused. the scar really underplays how badly Calli was actually hurt ( more messy than deadly ) still very minimal compared to the nature of her injury.
Well, it is on the REDONE early pages. I don't see any sign of it here though (one of the original pages). I think it got added in as CentComm improved her art. :-)
And I totally could see Calliope keeping it. The visible scar to go with the TRUE scars that are inside, in her heart.
The Calli Battlewagon has gone from the verge of being mothballed to fully crewed General Quarters. Mains coming online, auxiliaries at full power, damage control on standby, sensors - passive and active engaged, weapons going hot standby.
I'm not sure Antonious, I think damage control got tossed out the airlock. I don't think Calliope is going to worry about PERSONAL damage, at least not until Lynn is back safe. I don't care how big she is (or isn't), I think Calliope could do a good job as a berserker... And is working up the mood for it right now.
There's a Protocol for that!
Heck, you could say she's almost a spiritual part of it.
No hugs or brownies for Centcomm !
... well, maybe brownies - BUT DEFINATELY NO HUGS!
(or shorter: she goes Ceci) :p
I guess I was mistaken, reading too much into it, because I thought she had activated the Sel-Cast denial screen. I guess she just has them turned on, but not actually projecting, yet. I do see that Calliope didn't sever her links to the city, but she prepped that to go off if she breaths hard.

Now Centcomm can no longer order them around because they will only respond to Calliope.
Minor mistake that.
Maybe even a major mistake.
Apparently what Calliope was doing though is calling up the protocols and ASSIGNING the activation words. I never expected her to do that, seems like she should have already had them ready to activate. In a lot of security situations the time you have to react can be quite small.

She WILL attack you if she deems it necesary.
Doesn't matter how big you are at that moment.
Calliope has a big advantage over the Momma bear though, she has a BRAIN which makes her immensely more dangerous!
which is why I have repeatedly mentioned that smart people are more dangerous.
What a naughty, naughty boy.
Well .. naughty, naughty DEAD boy .. but still. :D
Yeah, you are probably right there, Rashala :)
And anyone who steps upon the floor better be damned well ready to face her wrath if they anger her.
OH BEHAVE !!
Evil-1_CentComm I fear you get either independent or shut down - *lol*
I wonder what Mira is doing when she sees CentComm shut down - or getting confused and the drones not reacting to her anymore *grins*
*hugs Mira and Caliope*
*kicks douchebag in the balls so hard he can sing Ave Maria in falsetto*
Give. Daughter. Back. NOW!
And a clean nose!
P.S. Wanna bet Krystal is singing, Oh what a beautiful Morning, Oh what a beautiful day in between fits of giggling and High-5's with Mira.
Also, keep in mind that Officer Allie is an independent android; she is not a combat drone or a Cent-Comm "doll".

The giant is no longer sleeping...
... Prince Douchebag ?
Yeah, he's in trouble now.
No, I know what you mean... and stupid is going to be in a WORLD of hurt I think. If he's lucky, Max will get to him first. If Dolly or Calliope get to him... It will NOT be pretty.

I had to corect like ..
a milliona bazillion grammar errors ... but I like the result. :)Pretty hilarious. :)

Do not worry, CentComm, I was just curious if I had missed it...
...and obviously I had...
*sighs*

Heh .. I wonder how many times Miss Direction has been part of the story by now ? Hmmm, better ask a certain ranger who has a cat-lady about that.
