I'd find Ceci and her big sister beautiful and breathtaking even if they were wearing Sack cloth or full body and face covering robes. I mean heck I thought that April fools pic was sexy too
Yes, I love Dolly's new armor (what we can see of it). Is this a power armor suit? Because it looks like it could be. And power armor might compensate for the slightly weaker Model 5 frame. (Though, I understood she's still stronger and faster than a typical human.)

I guess if you're trying to walk past a bunch of guards, having a mostly-naked girl along helps. Until you run across guards who are actual professionals, or guards who like other dudes, or guards who are women and are unmoved by sideboob.
Ah, but Cat's credit stick is too small for CeCi, so she'd probably just laugh loudly if he offered it to her, and keep laughing until he'd slink away in shame. Such is the shame of owning a very small credit stick.
Q: What determines the gender of the body a newly sparked New Troy android ends up with? Does the infant android get to choose, or is it all Cent's choice - based on the personality matrix it was sparked from? (Obviously, in New Rome and other places the android does not get a say.) Or, is it determined by how the personality turns out - literally how their "jumpers are set" by the roll of the dice?
What role does gender play in android society? Are there some androids who choose to experience the opposite gender at some point, perhaps to understand gender roles or human interactions better? Just wondering. There's so much potential here.
I'm reminded of how often Teedee curses about not only being stuck in a "meat sack", but how much of a sore spot it is to be called "fun-sized" or small. (She's rather short even for a gynoid.) I would think, if she had a choice, she'd choose a MALE combat model simply because it'd be larger and stronger. When she fought Marcus she realized that he had a distinct size advantage and that she had to "get creative" to come out on top. Indeed, Cent-Comm turned down Teedee's request to go into Mil-Sec based on her being too small. (Though, Cent might have had other reasons...)
Don't get me wrong: Teedee can really kick ass just the way she is. She's faster and more agile, for instance. I'm just theorizing on how she might think. Maybe she'd be perfectly happy in a tall, Amazon bodybuilder style combat gynoid?
the Gender and size of a andriod are set in stone when they are "seeded" even if they put Teedee into a larger sized male body - body disphroria would pretty much drive her insane .. Gender plays no role in job except where a job requires a certain size. ( mil-sec ) as they are generally uniform size for equipment :D
I'm not sure where Cent comes from with some of this stuff, despite extensive conversations while doing the world-building . . .
To touch on the size issue quick, physical stature and build is 100% a matter of personal preference (and what an individual can afford as a body upgrade, obviously). They all begin in a "standard" body size.
Not to get into too-lengthy discussions about psychology and such, but gender identity for androids is entirely a state of mind. Strictly speaking, they start out completely neuter--the default body lacks all sex characteristics, and their minds aren't pushed one way or another by biochemistry or gender-role treatment during the early stages of their lives. (I call that the "pink blankie or blue blankie predestination", when I'm being condescending and pedantic.) Personal gender identity develops over time as an android grows and learns. When they're finally ready to go out into the world, the appearance of their first body is entirely a matter of individual choice, and it does generally set a precedent for them, as human interaction solidifies the male-or-female self-perception.
Some androids do choose to remain completely neuter their whole lives; others may switch their physical appearance to the opposite sex, or even go back and forth several times, depending on the individual. Some do it to "experiment" with the opposite gender role in all respects, while others just like to switch up the aesthetics. ("Petite brunettes with big boobs are SO last season. Tall redheads with sculpted abs, 32" biceps, and square jaws are 'in' now.")
Teedee self-identifies as female, albeit lacking all sexual behavior. It's just how her mentality developed. The female body aesthetic appeals to her, and while males are stereotyped as being bigger and stronger and tougher, she subconsciously perceives that as a challenge. "You're getting pwned by a GIRL, asshole!"
The physical size thing does piss her off--the current body IS much smaller than her previous one or the one she'd planned to be transferred to, and frankly speaking, the world's mostly designed for the convenience of larger people. (I am 5'4"; I know whereof I speak. I'm reminded of it every time I take my car to the mechanic, and afterward have to scoot the car seat all the way forward, 'cause the guys at the shop had to move it back to avoid breaking their teeth with their kneecaps while letting up on the brake pedal.)
(The line about Teedee not going into Mil-Sec because she was too small was a joke, nothing more.)
But yayy for new updates next week :)
*hugs*
I hope you are well again...
and ceci... *sighs* beautiful ....stunning..breathtaking as always.....

Thank you for the detailed reply. I missed it until now because it came a day after Cent's answer and I did not check again. >_<
Maybe it's having a wild tuna and root beer party this weekend!
(Actually the entire TWC website was down for a bit I think).
Glad you are doing better. And I'll be very glad for new comics too. :-)
Enjoy!
