You mean something like 5 pages of EDICT and VINNIE trying to figure out why a human officer would find Hamlet interesting ?
It would, offcourse, end with VINNIE blasting an empty squad car to bits and EDICT finally refusing to clean it up, just to show VINNIE that they *can* skip parts of their own programming if need be.
Lexy is, indeed, pretty emotionless and logical - almost like an intelligent computer. No doubt she and Kali are the two androids Acantha is most familiar with.
I'd be curious to see Acantha's reaction if/when she meets New Troy androids on their own terms. In particular, meeting someone like Dolly, Ceci, or Ada.
Acantha will probably not believe that Dolly is an android. I mean Dolly looks so human, but she acts more dedicated than Maxus even. It will indeed be interesting how the two get along when they crash together.
I think I developed a half dozen cavities just watching those two. So sweet. :-D
I would image the swimsuit would fit pretty well mjkj. I mean they are similar in size. Of course, if the suit is a bikini that would make it even easier to match up. :-)
I suspect that Lynn insists on a swimsuit only because Lexy and/or Acantha will be in the room to attend to her. I doubt Lynn has a habit of bathing or showering in a swimsuit back home. She's just uncomfortable with the situation. And, frankly, I can't really blame her.
"Prude" seems like an overreaction. Anyway, it's Acantha who's complaining about Maxus' "public" show of affection here, -not- Lynn.
To me Acantha is reacting like a teenage daughter would to her parents acting all lovey in front of a friend. I think she thinks of Irene and Maxus more as family than she does of her (psycho) half-brother, Douchebag. I think Irene at least thinks of her as the daughter she doesn't have (or is it just YET, CentComm? :-D).
Acantha isn't really unhappy about Irene and Maxus being amorous, but as a teenager she *HAS* to complain about it. :-D She probably IS a little embarrassed by it though.
I would have been shocked if Lynn would have been able to overcome her upbringing enough to share a bath with anyone, jamie. Doing it in what nature provided and not freaking out would probably be beyond her right now. Not only is Lynn an only child, but New Troy didn't really prepare her for communal ANYTHING, I don't think.
Go back and look at how Lynn handled Acantha putting a friendly arm on her (Hey! no touching!, 10th May 2012 page).
And how freaked out she was by having to take a shower with Dr. Willis in the room (though in Lynn's defense she had just been kidnapped, shot with a stunner and hauled off to Hel... I mean Nova Roma can't say I really blame her).
Lynn definitely has some hang-ups, but they are largely cultural, I think. Not personal and in excess of the societal norms. :-)
I'm kinda with Cattservant on this one though, it does rattle a door she hasn't opened yet, and given the situation, probably isn't too keen about opening just yet, considering her brother tried to force her "door" open.
Actually, that makes me wonder, does Acantha have a crush on some boy/girl yet?
Yeah, like ... "What boy/girl-friend can I bring around that Maxus won't punch in the face, Decidus won't throw in the torture chambers - AND - Kali won't stalk to no end ?"
Just about the only one that could pass that muster is the Archpriest Setorius simply because he's scary enough to simply stare all three down ... at the same time ! (and he's probably not interested in games like that to begin with)
Lexy's line has me wondering:
"If is is any consolation, your Highness's vital signs are stable."
Does Acantha have some sort of medical monitoring device (aside from the ring Aeneas gave her)? Or is Lexy's medical sensors so sensitive that she can pick them up from close proximity? In panel 2 Lexy isn't holding Acantha's hand to read heartbeat and bloodpressure... is she?
Back a few pages (31st March 2014, Positronic Automatonic harmonics) Lexine identified Lynn as having - "...the early symptoms of a mild rhinovirus infection..." I figured Lexine had to have some kind of built-in scanner at that point to identify it that quickly, xpacetrue. :-)
What Acantha is willing to do in her own home (and yes, I think she thinks of Irene's as home) and what she will do for public presentation are likely to be WORLDS apart, mjkj. :-)
normally Acantha would take baths privately .. but shes also accustomed to having occasional helpers and or slaves.. but nudity and is not a HUGE deal in bath houses. now on the other hand It is reasonable to assume that Acantha WOULD wear a suit in a public place just as we do today. Lynn would be mortified at public nudity. no matter what the for .. unless she was very comfortable with the person shes with.
(( THE ARTIST DOES NOT CONDONE NUDITY OF UNDERAGE ACTORS !!! THE CGI ACTRESS THAT PLAYS ACANTHA IS 18 yeah thats the ticket legal disclamer in place :D ))
And the story pretty much started on the note of Lynn turning 18 as well. So, both are legal, that's not the issue.
But it has to fit into the comic as well, and the characteristics of the comic as well.
Or as some artists says, "The characters write themselves, I'm just along for the ride." :)
One. Acantha and lynn are underage Perv!!
Two. the eyeroll was in solidarity with acanthi at all the Sugary sweetness those others were putting off about to send me into a coma.
Actually we could use an update on Dolly & CeCi...
It would, offcourse, end with VINNIE blasting an empty squad car to bits and EDICT finally refusing to clean it up, just to show VINNIE that they *can* skip parts of their own programming if need be.
Which will only confuse VINNIE even further.
Also, cat farts.
That sounds exciting,
but I'm not sniffing out the reference.
[I follow GGaR, but I missed this one.]

*places another detail*
*cackles evilly*
You cannot keep up, neener neener ! :D
So sappy :D
Hehehehe, Acantha already knows Lynn pretty well, I wonder if the swimsuit will fit her
*hugs Acantha*

Plus she's a real Princess and other factors come first.

Then she needs to meet up with Cousin Avi for a humor check up.
Those are his preferred check ups and he takes them very seriously .. once he stops pranking you. :)
Plus the artist has to avoid getting the nasty child pornography laws involved.
And those laws NEED to be nasty, as there are sick predators out there that prey on children as young as 4. :-p
