Teedee, you so silly

LOL!
Sheela 21st Jan 2015, 11:44 AM edit delete reply

Seems like not only did she find herself a new humor in that new body, but she also seems to be much more relaxed in it now.

She really did integrate fully in that body, didn't she ?
Comical if it turns out to be the most compatible body available for TeeDee.
Centcomm 21st Jan 2015, 1:24 PM edit delete reply

Teedee is full at home more or less with her new body.. meaning no more psycho Teedee.. so hopefully the readers will be a little more kind to her.. :D
Nystran 21st Jan 2015, 2:12 PM edit delete reply
What? No more psycho Teedee? That's character murder, it is. You might as well have killed her off for real. :(
Sheela 22nd Jan 2015, 4:27 AM edit delete reply

It may be character murder, but TeeDee is certainly enjoying herself, so I guess it's not all bad. :)
antrik 11th Oct 2016, 6:54 PM edit delete reply
More kind? To a bigoted bitch who cheers on as people are being eaten alive? Nope, not gonna happen. She's not gonna get a pass on this kind of conduct just because she is ostensibly on the "good" side.

(Yeah, the asshole chief certainly deserved his fate. The other victims, surely not so much.)
Haegan2005 20th Jan 2015, 9:06 PM edit delete reply

Sheela 21st Jan 2015, 6:38 AM edit delete reply

Besides, MurderTurds are notoriously resistent to radiation.

Hopefully, he will be wise enough to decline that, but ..
Heck, she's probably already charmed him into doing it .. FOR SCIENCE !!! :D

Hah, a TeeDee webcomic ?
What would it be called ?

"Guns, knives and all things kaboom" ?
Drawn by Butterfly50, as we learned TeeDee calls herself back in Comic 749 - Friendship. :)

@Sheela, your above link has suffered with the passage of time. I believe your reference is now here. ("664 -- Friendship")

Also, "butterfly50" isn't her userid, it's her password; so, we don't necessarily know under what name she publishes her webcomic. ^_^

yep .. Its one of the lowest rated comics ever.
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2015, 6:30 PM edit delete reply

Hey, she would have two subscribers (at least). Ada would subscribe (though probably not read it) and Dr. Silver would subscribe to encourage TeeDee's creativity. :-D

She's kinda cute when she is excited ... *looks nervously around for an enraged TeeDee* ... I .. I didn't just say that !!! O.O

And you're like "The fuckin' thing got let loose by that fuckin' asshole sergeant and it fuckin' ate that fucker and then it ate all those other fuckers and the fuckin' cannon blew it's fuckin' legs off and shit and now it's lyin' out there in the fuckin' yard all blown to fuck." Tokyo Rose 22nd Jan 2015, 11:36 PM edit delete reply

now I wanna know what that is... ( ive never seen this anime Rose... )
Sheela 21st Jan 2015, 11:38 AM edit delete reply

Aw, poor Mr Popolopolis, he lost his little leggies. :(

How is TeeDee gonna ride him now ?
Maybe they could give him some new armored cyber leggies ? :)

proably .. *shiver* cyber enhanced murderturd..
DLKmusic 21st Jan 2015, 7:04 PM edit delete reply

Whatever mad science created this particular practical joke sure has a sense of humor!
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2015, 7:12 PM edit delete reply

Had a sense of humor, DLK. The first batch of murder-turds ATE their creator! "...and she laughed no more" :-D
Sheela 22nd Jan 2015, 11:57 AM edit delete reply

They also ate their sense of humor.

Which, incidentally, tasted exactly the same as their creator!
CptKerion 21st Jan 2015, 12:43 PM edit delete reply
WHat?! They shot it with a defense gun, putting so much power behind it they friend the circuits AND it survived?
Holy hell, this thing requires more than just a tank to take down, it requires specialized armor penetrating ammo in an extremely large bore gun to even hope of taking out.
I do suspect that it has an undue resistance to energy weapons compared to more traditional explosives and high velocity projectiles though. Given the appearance I'd guess the metal in its hide is more in a sorta biological weave than a solid sheet (see: it can move) and while energy weapons would achieve surface penetration the layers of conductive and reflective strands surrounded in water-filled flesh would effectively disperse the energy.

I suspect that precision armor piercing projectile weapons or sheer kinetic shock would get you better results.
A tungsten carbide sabot going sufficiently fast to the lungs would probably be the most effective precision since evidently it has two brains. Normally I'd say depleted uranium, but you need something much harder to prevent major deformation of the projectile in this situation. If it were solid metal plating primarily that might be different, but given my suspicions of a weave instead, well, you can figure out why.
As to the sheer kinetic shock, sure you might not pierce its hide with a high explosive shell but when you liquify its lungs and burst its heart inside of it, then penetration is a moot point.
If you have sufficient room around the bugger thermobaric weapons would be closer to ideal.

The most effective would probably be a multi-stage penetrator, preferably one that punched its way in then exploded. Those are, however, expensive and not something you need every day, since taking out bunkers isn't usually something you do without forward planning.

I officially feel really, really sorry for whoever it is who has to make sure these things don't destroy settlements, outposts, and the like.
Of course, given that they know what they're going into, they're probably using bunker busters to start with.
Sheela 21st Jan 2015, 12:55 PM edit delete reply

You are probably right that kinetic weapons would work better .. however .. all of those weapons are fire by redshirts, and just like their stormtrooper variant, it is well known they are INCAPABLE of hitting a barn with their blasters, even if they are standing INSIDE the barn, with all doors closed.

In this case, they probably hit the ground near the murderturd, and still had enough power to blow off a few of it's limbs.
ah well .. it's redshirts, what can ya' do 'bout it ?

As for people who profressionally handle Murderturds on a regular basis, they probably opt for the REALLY cheap method, which includes 10 pounds of juicy red meat and 5 handgrenades triggered by stomach juices.
Centcomm 21st Jan 2015, 1:23 PM edit delete reply

actually on the subject of Scythe Lizards they are increaably tough almost comically so.. they do have natual body armor - the giant lizards from Avatar could take lessons from these things. ( dont shoot it ,.. you will only piss it off )

IF you can get past the hide and dense internal body armor yes they can be killed. but even aftrer you have killed it they can still be deadly. they will thrash and bite untill the muscles run out of energy.the defense gun did not hit it "square" if it had they would be picking up pieces of it as far away as Atta .. and yes specialized Ammo will take care of it .. the tank used a Anti personnel round - thus it didn't have the power to punch though it AP and heap rounds have trouble they can knock it around but do little damage.. keep going people this is awesome ..
highlander55 21st Jan 2015, 5:32 PM edit delete reply

Sonic weapon would most likely work. Liquefy all its soft tissue if right frequency and power.
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2015, 6:17 PM edit delete reply

That would be brutally effective, highlander, provided you had the power behind it.

I wonder what an Atomic beam maser would do to it? With enough umph behind it. Low powered and you might as well not fire the thing. :-D

Ooohhh... And that leads to a thought, shoot it with a graser. That should take care of it. Of course, it might cook the shooter too, but it should stop the murder-turd. :-D
CptKerion 21st Jan 2015, 9:49 PM edit delete reply
Gamma radiation...
You'd have to get pretty intense to ensure that bugger was knocked out. The operator would almost certainly be toast.
Incendiaries may be another good bet, make it stew in its own juices or just burn a hole right through (I'm a firm supporter of the "enough thermite solves anything" school of thought).
As with most things, a railgun usually does the job provided you hit it right.

This is not something on the list of "to be attacked in close range" so the death spasms shouldn't be too much of a problem to competent individuals and sane.

other specialized weapons, such as incendiary burrower rounds (which I doubt exist in setting in any quantity or at all)would do a real number.

I usually suggest something like nerve gas for anything this nasty, but given its proximity to your own defenses, a bad shift of the wind and you have some friendly casualty problems.

particularly intense electric shock would either A. perform extremely well, being conducted to important things because the metal fibers are all over the place or B. be useless because the metal fibers direct electricity AROUND the vital things.

a thermal lance would likely do a number on it provided it exists in setting in the same form I'm used to because it's like "thermite, the beam version."

and fuel air bomb would do a number on it because you could get a lot of flaming material in its lungs.

if you don't have any heavy ordinance available, priority one needs to be vision. high explosives or precision shots with even relatively small weapons can handle that. after that, using sound and vibration to sucker it into a trap is probably the best plan. Make everyone hold still and be silent and get a remote control car with a speaker playing bad to the bone to piss it off and use that as bait.

knocking one out of commission would take weapons you normally aim at an MBT or maybe just an AFV.

If I were going to hunt down a roving band of males that was threatening a settlement, I'd want an aerial gunship equipped with low-power bunker busters (mount them on a guided rocket) (remember, they're bunker busters, low power is a relative term, I want the second stage to blow up inside the murderturd, not on the other side of it) and incendiaries (preferably thermite or magnesium.)
Throw a 30mm autocannon equipped with Tungsten sabots as a good measure, poke enough holes in it to make it bleed to death in case other measures fail.

Make sure you have at least 3 times as many shots for your heavy weapons as you have murderturds, because it may take several shots to take it down. Light weapons (see 30mm autocannon) are only there to disable survivors long enough for you to return to base to rearm.
Speedy 21st Mar 2017, 7:39 AM edit delete reply
Gamma radiation? You do realize that this is a comic, and therefore gamma radiation would turn it big, green, and mean? ;)
Hornet 21st Jan 2015, 9:40 PM edit delete reply
Microwave emitter you don't have to worry about things like frequency and power, you just have to keep it trained on target long enough and it will bring said target to a boil.
CptKerion 21st Jan 2015, 9:59 PM edit delete reply
actually, with microwaves frequency is extremely important.
Too short and that thing's hide will block it quite well, too long and it won't actually interact with the molecules. Problem also exists with atmospheric water when using those, and keeping it trained on the target for long enough.

I don't much like to use them because they don't stagger, kill, or disable quickly.
Sheela 22nd Jan 2015, 4:21 AM edit delete reply

Stopping a herd of male murderturds is quite easy, just bait them into an area with a female murderturd in it.

She will either kill them, eat them or mate with them - Either which way they will be out of comission for a while. :D
Tokyo Rose 22nd Jan 2015, 11:41 PM edit delete reply

As noted, the cannon didn't score a direct hit on the scythe lizard--it hit the ground instead. A direct hit would've done the job. (The relay blowing wasn't the result of intentionally ramping up the power.)
Some Ed 5th Jun 2017, 4:47 AM edit delete reply
I'm sure the relay blowing was due to neglected maintenance. Decimus seems like the sort to order more weapons without thinking about ordering maintenance for weapons that predated him, let alone his reign. And with his style of 'leadership', even the most loyal, pragmatic, and forward-thinking folk are going to be very hesitant to spend a lot of time and money on a task that their ruler didn't order done. Power relays that aren't perfectly sealed from the weather will degrade over time, even if not used. Perfect weather seals will degrade over time. And if they do practice drills which require powering up the weapon but not firing it, the relay wear is increased without stressing it as much as if it's actually fired.

Stormwind13 21st Jan 2015, 6:25 PM edit delete reply

Actually, I'm thinking that TeeDee might have just guaranteed that Ada and her are seen as humans.

No machine would act that way. And if they were going to draw a picture, it would look better than a hyperactive 2 year old with an etch-a-sketch produces. Which is about the quality that TeeDee created there, in my opinion.

Bets on thoughts like those going thru the survivors' minds? Those that are used to Cassians probably don't think gynoids could do anything LIKE that! =O

Holy fudgenuggets, man! The thing had multiple limbs blown off and was still alive and kicking for what I must assume must be at least half an hour! I mean, with most critters, if your cut a limb off they shrivel up and die of blood loss nine time out of ten. And that's when you CUT it off. If it was BLOWN off, then the most likely cause of death shifts from blood loss to cellular damage from the concussive shock. To have survived both of these ordinarily fatal traumas and still be alive and kicking... well, it's a testament to the evolution that has occurred (possibly with the aid of "Nuclear Catalyst", as it were).
Sheela 22nd Jan 2015, 4:24 AM edit delete reply

Some reptiles have shutoff valves in the major veins / arteries so that they don't die from a sudden major bloodloss, such as if they loose a large part of their tail or something like that.

To the point, that there is even snakes and salamanders that can drop a piece of their tail as bait to fool a predator.

How about TeeDee or someone hacking New Rome's reference archives and messaging system? No, I'm thinking about the bigger picture here... there are worse reptiles around than the one outside with its legs blown off...

Decimus: Stand aside for your imperator! I shall deal with this... creature. I have it on the best authority that these animals are no threat to beings of superior rank and regal bearing, so one such as I will easily force it to bow down and submit!

Kali: My emperor... that information is not correct, the encyclopedia must have been-

Decimus: Silence!! Open the door!!

Maxxus: My emperor! If you will not take a weapon with you, I beg that you at least take this high-intensity pain prod... so that you will not need to soil your hands should the beast require goading. *takes a knee, offers prod*

Decimus: ... *snatches up prod contemptuously* Now, observe your ruler in his glory!

Maxxus: *leaps to attention, salutes* Jove and Mars be with you, sire! *struggles to keep face straight*

Nova Roma met its end, that day, as each and every citizen ended their lives in suicide. The abject horror of the event, broadcast to every holographic device in the city, was simply too great for any human to handle. Even the Emperator died that day, due to this being the very first time that he didn't demand to be on top.
