Ah, yes... I'm sure he has several important 'facts' to impart. If only they were fact instead of his twisted fiction...
Centcomm 1st Mar 2015, 11:09 PM edit delete reply

The prince is a legend in his own mind :D
velvetsanity 2nd Mar 2015, 2:42 AM edit delete reply

I suspect one of those "facts" is along the lines of "I hope you are enjoying your stay in Nova Roma. Your mother has given her blessings to our upcoming marriage, and hopes that you will be able to get along with your co-wife to the point of sharing myself and our bed with her fully." (With this statement being his "proposing" to them both)
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 1:29 PM edit delete reply

hehe wait for it .. :D
cattservant 1st Mar 2015, 9:05 PM edit delete reply

So, the Archpriest appears at last.
Centcomm 1st Mar 2015, 11:10 PM edit delete reply

YES after what? 6 or 7 years of being on the cast page??? he finally makes a appearance !
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 9:05 AM edit delete reply

Finally !
I've been looking forward to this. :)
Oddly enough, I was surprised at his usage of "I'm" and other abbreviations.
I did not think he would do that when he could have used 5 words instead ?
Tokyo Rose 2nd Mar 2015, 4:05 PM edit delete reply

Well, this is a "social" occasion. One has heard it suggested that one must "loosen up" and speak in a more "colloquial" fashion around those who are of a "non-academic" frame of mind, you see. ;D
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 4:57 PM edit delete reply

Nonsense, people who work 17 hours a day, don't listen to such drivel!

I mean, REALLY, why would they listen to their doorstops at all?
Haegan2005 1st Mar 2015, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

Okay, for some reason Dec just creeped me out even more. I am not certain if it is the lighting or something else.

And we get to see the good doctor and finally get to see her boss. I suspect I would be "distracted" in julias shoes as well!
Kitty 1st Mar 2015, 9:38 PM edit delete reply
Setorius is creepier than Dec. That takes talent :(

Haegan2005 1st Mar 2015, 9:49 PM edit delete reply

it does, they crafted his look really well!
DLKmusic 1st Mar 2015, 9:50 PM edit delete reply

He's creepy because he's unemotional. the perfect Dr. Frankenstien, that will go to any lengths for the advancement of science without any regard for the short or long term implications of what he is doing.

Several others go on that list, but yeah....
Kitty 2nd Mar 2015, 4:53 PM edit delete reply
I was thinking more the creepy bionic hand...or is that a vinyl glove? And the dark glasses indoors...and the bald head...Sorry, bald heads and white coats = creepy to me, for some reason. And he's already zeroed in a Julia's mood, which could mean he suspects something's going on with her that shouldn't be (like agreeing to take part in rescuing Lynn...)
sigpig 26th Jul 2015, 8:04 AM edit delete reply

I was thinking more "Dr. Mengele" rather than "Dr. Frankenstein"...
Centcomm 1st Mar 2015, 11:10 PM edit delete reply

YAY im glad the Arch priest is creepy - hes exactly as intended :D
Pirtnac 2nd Mar 2015, 12:25 AM edit delete reply
Official request: He needs to say "Mister Bond" at some point in the comic, and / or possess a long haired white cat.
Hornet 2nd Mar 2015, 7:29 AM edit delete reply
May be creepy, but still make a better leader than Deci. Now what is taking Kyle so long?
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 9:07 AM edit delete reply

Alas, the cat lost it's hair in a lab experiment ... he *is* still very fond of it though.
And the fact that he pets a hairless cat makes him even creepier!
Miyto 2nd Mar 2015, 11:00 AM edit delete reply
Wait~...
He was supposed to be creepy?
I just saw him as an Autistic Savant with his perceptive lens being something work related.
(I suspect something genetic-, med-, textbook-, and/or sociology- related)

He's quite lucky to have found a workplace where he can limit his social interactions to those within his comfort level, I suspect very few Asperger-Kids in Nova Roma are so lucky.

He seems very socially adjusted compared to Decs and a pleasant person, if you ignore any horrors that come out of his labs.
(I expect horrors to come out of any mad scientist's lab, especially from the mentally stable one's)
velvetsanity 2nd Mar 2015, 3:21 PM edit delete reply

"Mentally stable mad scientist"? Who do you think he is, a direct descendant of Agatha Heterodyne? :P
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 3:38 PM edit delete reply

If he is, he's a bastard child, I'm sure.
velvetsanity 3rd Mar 2015, 12:08 AM edit delete reply

Ahh, but would the father of his ancestor be Gil or Tarvek? :D
rfaramir 3rd Mar 2015, 12:44 PM edit delete reply
She probably marries both Gil and Tarvek, so the bastard must have another as father.
Some Ed 6th Jun 2017, 4:17 AM edit delete reply
Someone didn't get the memo on mad scientists. Both, of course. Not from two different offspring, mind you. But when you're a mad scientist and have the actual conception take place outside the body, you're not really limited in quite the way people who mate the old boring way are!
DLKmusic 3rd Mar 2015, 2:50 PM edit delete reply

Agatha Heterodyne is mentally stable?????????
velvetsanity 3rd Mar 2015, 5:03 PM edit delete reply

Compared to 99% of other mad scientists she is
Stormwind13 3rd Mar 2015, 7:32 PM edit delete reply

Yeah velvet. Mentally stable is a relative term in that land for sure.
Dongaria 1st Mar 2015, 10:19 PM edit delete reply

Oooh love the atmosphere in this dialogue!
Centcomm 1st Mar 2015, 11:11 PM edit delete reply

Thank you SO much ! :D :D
Dragonrider 1st Mar 2015, 10:53 PM edit delete reply

Unfortunately Hiz Douchieness has drafted The baddest of the Cassians to work directly under his direction along with some of his Bully Boys. Unless something goes into left field for him I fear for Maxus and his lady.
Centcomm 1st Mar 2015, 11:12 PM edit delete reply

Yep .. those are THE most dangerous of the Cassians and his royal Praetorian's this could go very badly for Max...
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 9:09 AM edit delete reply

Well, to be fair, Maxus is also a "combat frame" .. just biological.

So things could also go very wrong for the cassians, should they attack him.
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 2:17 PM edit delete reply

possably .. thats why he sent a LOT :D
mjkj 1st Mar 2015, 11:59 PM edit delete reply

Well, Dr. Julia surely had some great stress lately...

Oh, that situation surely is getting worse quite fast...

@vote incentive: seems like Ada used TeeDee's swimsuit...

Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 9:10 AM edit delete reply

And the swmisuit isn't quite big enough for her. :)
mjkj 2nd Mar 2015, 1:54 PM edit delete reply

I thought it should fit TeeDee in her current frame...

Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 2:17 PM edit delete reply

hehe .. its quite fashionable in New Troy :D
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 3:40 PM edit delete reply

Yes, well, it might fit TeeDee very nicely, but it doesn't quite fit Ada. :)
Stormwind13 2nd Mar 2015, 8:43 PM edit delete reply

Whatever do you mean, Sheela? I REALLY like that look on Ada.
Sheela 3rd Mar 2015, 2:58 PM edit delete reply

You would. XD
Stormwind13 3rd Mar 2015, 7:34 PM edit delete reply

You say that like it is a BAD thing, puppy! I think seeing as much of Ada as possible is a good thing.
KarToon12 2nd Mar 2015, 7:26 AM edit delete reply

He prefers work, AND cool sunglasses that make him look like he came from the Matrix. XD
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 9:11 AM edit delete reply

The sunglasses are a necessity, as his eyes are so creepy that people flee when they see him.

Most counterproductive to good research, I assure you.
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 2:18 PM edit delete reply

Looking into his eyes causes madness. And he can do the cool glowing eyeglasses trick from so many anime :D
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 3:41 PM edit delete reply

When you look into the Abyss, Setorius looks back!
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 5:54 AM edit delete reply

yes he does.. and hes holding a injector :D
Sheela 3rd Mar 2015, 2:59 PM edit delete reply

Oh, and here I thought he held the Abyss hostage. XD
Lukkai 3rd Mar 2015, 7:44 PM edit delete reply
He IS the Abyss!
Thomas 2nd Mar 2015, 7:43 AM edit delete reply
"I have several important facts to impart to miss Taylor".

And then it got evil.
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 2:18 PM edit delete reply

hehe
Lukkai 2nd Mar 2015, 6:22 PM edit delete reply
"then it got"?

Where have you been Deci's last few appearances on screen?
Shotgun15 2nd Mar 2015, 10:43 AM edit delete reply
After voting, I discovered again why I am so smitten with Ada !
(Sorry Calliope) . . .
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 2:19 PM edit delete reply

Well There is a reason Ada plans on keeping that body :D
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 3:42 PM edit delete reply

And Kevin is part of that reason ?
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 4:37 PM edit delete reply

Probably :D
Timotheus 2nd Mar 2015, 1:13 PM edit delete reply

He's wearing a tie! After decades of technology, war, devastation, rebuilding, and general horror, they still have neckties! You fiends!
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 2:19 PM edit delete reply

it just proves how evil he is :D
Sheela 2nd Mar 2015, 3:42 PM edit delete reply

Or how evil Ties are!
Thomas 2nd Mar 2015, 6:03 PM edit delete reply
Well if it's good enough for dark helmet.
Timotheus 2nd Mar 2015, 8:23 PM edit delete reply

You could have at least put a palm tree on the neck tie so it would be a real tacky one and I could make fun of it. Or a hula girl.
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 5:52 AM edit delete reply

hehe well dispite his madness.. he can be quite charming when he wants to be :D
Hornet 3rd Mar 2015, 6:16 AM edit delete reply
What's a snake oil, used car salesman without a necktie??? The world may never know.
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 7:10 AM edit delete reply

No kidding .. Decimus could always bully a few sales .. :D
Lukkai 3rd Mar 2015, 7:46 PM edit delete reply
"Buy now and live another day!"

"By simply adding this five year insurance package to your deal, you could ensure your family's safety!"
Rashala 2nd Mar 2015, 2:12 PM edit delete reply

Why am I visualizing The Cloud city BEtrayal Dinner When I think about this scene in my head
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 2:20 PM edit delete reply

hehe - but will Decimus say the line :D
Stormwind13 3rd Mar 2015, 7:35 PM edit delete reply

Hmmm... Didn't really think about it, Rash; however, you have a GOOD point there. Does have that atmosphere, doesn't it?
XMinusOne 2nd Mar 2015, 2:53 PM edit delete reply
I wonder who ... I mean what they're serving for dinner? Talk about being in a jar of scorpions. The Head Priest's a piece of work with that rubber outfit. That glove of his reminds me of Doctor Strangelove for some reason, only it isn't black.

"It vould be very zimple to alter das genetic makeup of das subjeckt, my Fuhrer, I mean my Liege." :D
velvetsanity 2nd Mar 2015, 3:24 PM edit delete reply

Dr. Strangelove...yet another Kubrick masterpiece being held up in comparison to the work of our wonderful storytellers... :D
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 4:37 PM edit delete reply

Ill like that compliment :D
Highlander55 2nd Mar 2015, 4:33 PM edit delete reply
Why is Julia's necklace floating of her chest?
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2015, 4:36 PM edit delete reply

I could make up a excuse about how its supposed to be suspended and all that but the truth is its part of the outfit. and its sitting a bit above her skin it looked great in the previews and I didnt even notice that it shadowed ... bleh. sorry.
mjkj 3rd Mar 2015, 5:12 AM edit delete reply

Well, Dr. Julia just moved forward a bit and then stopped just in time for the picture to be taken - but the necklace was still in forward motion (or on the climax of its move forward or something the like)...
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 5:54 AM edit delete reply

I like your version better Mjkj !
mjkj 3rd Mar 2015, 2:00 PM edit delete reply

You are welcome to use it ^_^
XMinusOne 2nd Mar 2015, 5:59 PM edit delete reply
But of course, Julia is wearing the latest in anti-gravity necklaces. They're tres chic on Luna.
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 6:19 AM edit delete reply

But of course!
mjkj 3rd Mar 2015, 5:09 AM edit delete reply

I like your new avatar, Cent :D
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 6:19 AM edit delete reply

Thank you !
MST3KFan 3rd Mar 2015, 5:49 AM edit delete reply

Sorry I haven't ever commented until now on the comic (been seriously working on a lot of things), given you've commented a lot of my comic.
I need to go back and read a lot of stuff, but it is really amazing how you make all these pages.

I'm a novice at things computer related (hope to fix that at a tech school this year), so seeing all this and know it was done on computer is awesome.
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 5:53 AM edit delete reply

its all good :D There is a recap page for people late to the party just type "recap" in the search bar. Or a Characters name. Good to see you !! :D and thank you so much for the compliments !
justjoe46 3rd Mar 2015, 6:07 PM edit delete reply
I've only been reading your web comic since last week (I'm up to 1088 now). In the process a couple of thoughts have come up, and I don't know if any of your other readers have pointed them out. First the weapons that Cent-Comm has in her vaults I assume are of the Nuke/Bio/Chem missile variety, depending on how long that they have been in storage several things may have happened to them which may make every thing that Nova Roma has done be for not.
Any liquid that they contain may have separated (like milk), dried up, lost its potency (like dead gasoline), corroded out its container and subsequently any thing in the vicinity, or become unstable and ready to blow at the slightest movement. Any solids contained with in the weapon systems would have experienced similar effects of ageing. Nuclear materials could have emitted enough particles as to render them nearly useless. Metals could have corroded ect.
The second thought is why didn't Cent-Comm beat all of her WMD store into the proverbial plow shares as soon as she could. She could have had an army of androids doing it and no one would be the wiser.
highlander55 3rd Mar 2015, 6:41 PM edit delete reply

@justjoe46.. I would think there is a maintenance schedule and safety protocols in place.
Stormwind13 3rd Mar 2015, 7:40 PM edit delete reply

And some of the components might be stored separated just to keep bad things from happening. Then clicked into place if they ever are needed. Plus they probably have more advanced storage systems that keep things usable longer than we do now.

As for why CentComm kept the WMD's, justjoe, I would speculate that it was because she is a war machine. Probably has protocols to keep them safe and ready for use almost on par with the protocols for keeping the Taylors safe.
Lukkai 3rd Mar 2015, 7:56 PM edit delete reply
There's also the question of how many weapons Cent has actually instantly ready. And how much she just has the capabilities of producing them on short notice.
Centcomm 3rd Mar 2015, 8:51 PM edit delete reply

The thing is Cent knows HOW to make all these things.. and does keep a stock pile per her base protocols .. but she can make enough to kill the planet several times over THATS why shes scared.
