Sure she has a plan: Damage control to clean up traces of her involvement in Kyle as he's being worked over and then autopsied. One can't ultimately protect the suicidal from themselves beyond trying to convince them not to be, so why try?
Stupid is as stupid does, best hope Maxus, er cancel that his best hope is Kali is merciful, or TR also put a hidden suicide pill to kill him with out pain.
My question is not whether or not Decimus will have Kyle captured, but whether or not Maximus had jurisdiction or the praetorian guard have Jurisdiction.
One is really bad news for Kyle, the other is still not radiant news, but REALLY beats the alternative.
Suicide pill... or deep coma inducing drug that simulates death and with any luck a high priest who finds such a device "interesting" enough to go along with the gag to pronounce him dead and take him away for a personal "autopsy", thus giving everyone a chance to regroup and replot.
*sigh* That's what you get when you make amateurs do sensitive jobs, Rose. I bet he forgot about poor, broken AIS the moment his briefing ended.
Is happy ending for Kyle a thing by now, or his destiny was to die in a diplomatic incident?
Also, it's not only Setorius having fun. Look at Decimus speaking, he must be like a kid who was given a token for free, unhealthy food. :D
And by such a food I mean lovely session in torture room... :/
Why wouldn't he who was hosting the B'day party Lynn was going to when this started.I still think the only entity who was in a position to benefit from this whole scenario was our "friend?" from the far east. Who gets a repaired Nova Roma AI with a debt of gratitude and possibly deep level loyalty "suggestions" a probable change in rulers in Nova Roma leaving it one step closer to the eventual world domination by The Chrysanthemum Throne. The eternal goal of the Eastern Empire since West met East.
Finding it out wasn't hard in all likelihood, Sheela. WHY he went to the trouble though, that bothers me. Was it so he could torment Lynn in her captivity? Sounds like something Deck would do. :-P
It also speaks volumes as to how after being as thorough as he obviously was in getting his background information, he has so consistently misread his information as to how his opponents will respond to his actions. No one is following his script and he's not going to take it much longer, dang it!
Rashala, he was already a moron, that is a given. Getting to a situation where he is holding a gun on Kali and Max was his stupidity. Reacting to the dropped wine instead of staying focused on the threats is his inexperience. He is just an untrained individual reacting to unfamiliar stimuli in a stressful situation. I would have been shocked if Kyle would have reacted any other way.
If he had put one between Deck's eyes, and then Acantha gave an order to stand down I think that would have been ideal.
Of course, he doesn't even understand center mast (as the old Marine who first explained shooting to me called at) when holding a gun, so hitting right between the eyes was likely out of the question.
If this was an episode of one of those old b/w movie serials, we'd have to wait until next week to see what happens ... right after the Bugs Bunny cartoon, of course. :D
I have to say this kid is just plain dumb to get himself into this situation in the first place. But he IS a teenager, and clearly thinking with his hormones.
My question is where in hell did he get the firearm he's waving about and how in hell did he get it past palace security and into Deck's presence??? And so obvious that even Acantha takes one look at him and notices the firearm? If nothing else, Deck's gonna have some heads served up at his next meal after this security fiasco, and rightly so.
I really hope Rose has a plan.
Great job Cent and Rose, one can really see and feel the fear of Acantha and Lynn.
Woah, we made it to rank 20, and almost are at rank 19... come on and continue to vote and let us give Cent and Rose a top 20 and better present...
One is really bad news for Kyle, the other is still not radiant news, but REALLY beats the alternative.
The devious duo have us really paying attention!
This situation is getting worse. There has to be an exit at some point.

A seething, sadistic monarch like he is, is probably itching to take his frustrations out on Kyle.

let's all go to the lobby,
let's all go to the lobby,
and have a 7-UP!

before this lapse of sanity.
on top of implying that his story about not being able to defend his father from death or whatever
