I am re-reading this from the beginning, and remembered that I once got an immunization from a jet injector. It hurt noticeably more than a needle. I am sure that NT's tech is far above our modern world, though. And a 21 gauge needle is pretty small.

yep NT jet injectors are more arisols that use a DMSO type chemical for penetration think of a hypo spray from start trek.

Yup, had a few jet injections hurt for days afterward, needles don't bother me.
