Dragonrider 31st May 2015, 9:08 PM edit delete reply

An impatient Mama Bear bodes ill for all concerned. Since her upgrade she seems to have gained human like emotions. Lack of patience and temper are chief among these.
DLKmusic 31st May 2015, 9:19 PM edit delete reply

AND a fondness for Beer... White Rapids, I believe is her brew!
Stormwind13 1st Jun 2015, 11:59 AM edit delete reply

I think her lack of patience is related to the time Lynn has spent in hostile hands, Dragonrider. She didn't want her to go alone to start with, and the week or so is wearing on her last nerve!
Centcomm 1st Jun 2015, 12:50 PM edit delete reply

Yeah Dolly is freaking DONE and more done with waiting .. however shes not going to just dismiss what Ceci says out of hand .. yet
cattservant 31st May 2015, 9:42 PM edit delete reply

Somehow I think
they will notice
when the time is
Stormwind13 31st May 2015, 9:51 PM edit delete reply

I think aliens that haven't even found humanity yet will know when the time is right, catt. It will be INCREDIBLY noisy shortly!
anonymous coward 31st May 2015, 10:14 PM edit delete reply
The big question is whether the riot, Miraiko's list, or Ramesy coming to pick up Dolly comes first. If I had to guess, everybody would prefer the riot comes first on that list just because it would make what else they're trying to do easier, but SNAFU: We are in hostile territory.
DLKmusic 31st May 2015, 10:18 PM edit delete reply

I kinda want to hear the performance at the front gate of the palace by that new group... "Doc Silver and the Heavy Assault Drone Gospel Choir".

I hear they have an interesting interpretation of the song "boom boom"
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 3:49 AM edit delete reply

pfft ... everyone thinks it's all the groups gathered that will set it off, but in the meantime, a small virus programmed by Rose sneaks into the lock that hold Mr Popolopolis contained ... annnd ... *click*

All hell breaks loose!
Tokyo Rose 1st Jun 2015, 5:00 AM edit delete reply

The murder turd lost both of its starboard-side legs, so it can't really move around. If it had lost one on each side, it would have been able to lurch; if it had lost both front legs or both back legs, it could have dragged or pushed itself along. As it is, it can mostly just lie there and flail its remaining limbs (and stumps) and gnash its terrible maw.

And poop. It can certainly poop.

(Lepaedus is thrilled. Sincerely.)
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 5:20 AM edit delete reply

It can fart too ... biological warfare!! >_<
Tokyo Rose 1st Jun 2015, 4:22 PM edit delete reply

It can indeed also fart. (Lepaedus's assistants are not as thrilled as he is.)
Centcomm 1st Jun 2015, 12:51 PM edit delete reply

Pretty much everything from here on out happens more or less AT THE same time..
Haegan2005 1st Jun 2015, 5:20 PM edit delete reply

What has me laughing is that when it is time for Dolly to move, Lynn will be safely at the Aeneas and pretty much untouchable. That could get sticky though as neither of them knows the other. No freeby pass codes here!
Lukkai 1st Jun 2015, 6:28 PM edit delete reply

Don't expect the enemy to cooperate in the creation of your dream engagement.
Haegan2005 1st Jun 2015, 9:15 PM edit delete reply

The other funny thing is that the only person who knows Dolly and Ceci are here is Rose. While I do not have direct evidence for this, there is implied evidence.

Granted, Dolly has stepped through the messes in her way very well so far. But.... :D

We know that Cent knows that Dolly has escaped the trap Cent laid for her and is likely either at the palace or at least in Roma. We have yet to see any evidence of Cents spies here(that we know of), but we have seen Roses. I just can't see Cent not having sources here, even if they are non-combatants. Whether they are in a position to actually DO anything is a different matter entirely. Sometimes the luck just does not run your way and agents simply cannot get into where you need them.

Of course, Cent knew enough to get a load of weapons into the city with the expectations that someone would use them, so... hmmm.
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 11:15 PM edit delete reply

One of Centcomm's agents is standing right next to Dolly.
It's called CeCi, and it has a transponder build into it, that Marcus can track.

Centcomm does know that Dolly has arrived.
mjkj 1st Jun 2015, 12:23 AM edit delete reply

Awww... impatient...

...@alt text: you mean Tokyo Rose, I guess that is one of her aliases, is it?

Wow, new month voting - we are rank 8 right now... :D

Tokyo Rose 1st Jun 2015, 3:31 AM edit delete reply

It was a reference to "Waiting for Godot", actually.
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 3:51 AM edit delete reply
Tokyo Rose 1st Jun 2015, 5:01 AM edit delete reply

No, but I am an embarrassingly huge Phil Foglio fan . . .
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 5:21 AM edit delete reply

To be fair, Foglio makes really good stories. :)
velvetsanity 1st Jun 2015, 6:27 AM edit delete reply

Invented any death rays or built any clanks lately? :D
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 6:57 AM edit delete reply

No, but I have made this fuzzy little, vaguely crocodile looking, plushy thing.

I think I shall call it ... Winslow. :)
DLKmusic 1st Jun 2015, 11:02 AM edit delete reply
You're not alone, Rose. I was introduced to his artwork when he did the Illustrated version of "Another Fine Myth."
Stormwind13 1st Jun 2015, 12:02 PM edit delete reply

I got to meet him and Kaja once. They were interesting, even in the brief time I was near them. Got them both to sign some magic cards. :-)

Edit - Embarrassingly enough, I got introduced to his work way back in Dragon Magazine (What's New with Phil & Dixie) more years ago than I care to think about. I've been reading things by him and enjoying his work every since. :-)
Timotheus 1st Jun 2015, 12:27 PM edit delete reply

Heh, I named my pet Tik-Tikki Winslow back on Pathway To Power and was always waiting for someone to get the reference.
Lukkai 1st Jun 2015, 6:31 PM edit delete reply

On y va?

On ne peut pas!

On attend Godot!

C'est vrais.

Or my favourite quote:
Faisons l'arbre!
Timotheus 1st Jun 2015, 8:35 PM edit delete reply

I've always thought that a version of "Waiting for Godot" On Ice would be a big success.
Rashala 1st Jun 2015, 12:29 AM edit delete reply

YEah Rose you are so getting hugged THEN throttled.

PS anyone else getting mega lag connecting?
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 3:53 AM edit delete reply

Throttled until in traction, and *then* hugged, as hard as the pain medication will allow, while not killing her.
Centcomm 1st Jun 2015, 12:52 PM edit delete reply

it seems fine to me - ive tested it on my desktop and my tablet .. all seems fine to me :(
Lukkai 1st Jun 2015, 6:32 PM edit delete reply

No problems for me.

And yes, she probably will be.
Mark_L_A 1st Jun 2015, 4:33 AM edit delete reply

Rose I think you are in trouble,

Rash, yes on the lag, it took almost 2 minutes for this page to load for me and it took over a minute for the comment box to open.

I'm on slow DSL but it's not THAT slow.
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 5:22 AM edit delete reply

Runs fine here.
cattservant 1st Jun 2015, 7:03 AM edit delete reply

It was like that for weeks a month
or two, then it straightened out.
Centcomm 1st Jun 2015, 12:52 PM edit delete reply

it might be a regional thing but i dont know .. it seems fine to me.
XRzer04 1st Jun 2015, 7:02 AM edit delete reply

I hope there are at least as many pages of the action once this starts to go down as there have been pages of suspense and growing impatience leading up to it. Even the characters are like "All right, already! Let's DO this!" I particularly want to see how Rose handles it when the first casualty of the first engagement is The Plan. Once this starts, major players we don't have indication Rose even Knows about yet are going to jump out of her birthday cake and start shooting things. Kyle's little disruption is going to look like just that, A Little disruption. Dolly was about to go Full Kyle herself. That would have literally been a hot mess. I wonder if Rose will sit back and just watch it unfold, or use that superior thinking speed and that vast web of electronic connections to try to keep up with the chaos and shape it to her desired outcome?
cattservant 1st Jun 2015, 7:07 AM edit delete reply

It's times like this
that immortal Rose
is living for!
Centcomm 1st Jun 2015, 12:49 PM edit delete reply

there will be lots of action .. trust me :D we are pretty much done with character building and chatting .. its time for the bodies to hit the floor :D
Stormwind13 1st Jun 2015, 4:25 PM edit delete reply

Just a couple pages, Xrzer. One showing Dolly and CeCi going in motion, followed by a panel showing an explosion, as they cleanse Nova Roma. Next page, showing them flying away with Lynn, smoking ruins in the background.
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 11:21 PM edit delete reply

Heck, knowing Rose, she has probably already killed "The Plan" several times over, plus assasinated countless plans from other people.
T1G3R-2501 2nd Jun 2015, 2:09 PM edit delete reply
How much I'd want to see a Giant Boss robot battle. Like the City comes alive after the repair was made by Kyle......
ProfEtheric 1st Jun 2015, 9:10 AM edit delete reply

Gah! All this waiting!

"I hate waiting" - Inigo Montoya
Centcomm 1st Jun 2015, 12:49 PM edit delete reply

I know right.. I wanna post all the pages now :D
VanEzzania 1st Jun 2015, 9:58 AM edit delete reply

Does CeCi have freckles?
Centcomm 1st Jun 2015, 12:48 PM edit delete reply

She does .. very slight ones :D
Sheela 1st Jun 2015, 11:21 PM edit delete reply

Because freckles are cute!
mjkj 1st Jun 2015, 11:52 PM edit delete reply

They are, indeed.
chk 1st Jun 2015, 1:35 PM edit delete reply

Man. Does Dolly look bad-assed or what?
DLKmusic 1st Jun 2015, 5:04 PM edit delete reply

Indeed she does, my friend, indeed she does. I think right now even Jet Li might take a step back (if he knew what's good for him).
Kitty 1st Jun 2015, 5:42 PM edit delete reply
Dolly, Dolly, Dolly...Don't jump the gun. I mean, look what happened to Kyle! Remember, good things come to those who wait ;)

*Spoken earlier this week to my technomancer friend*
"I want a CeCi"
"A what?"
"A little android girl with the equivalent of a CPC in her hand"
"A little girl with a world ender?"
"Goddess help if you ever have a kid Ti"
Hornet 4th Jun 2015, 7:51 PM edit delete reply
I still think Aeneas getting fixed is their best bet and Deci's worst nightmare. After all he doesn't really have to worry about combat losses, as he has the facilities to just build more and the remains of half a city to build them out of.
