I imagine Aeneas' singing sounding like System of A Down doing children's audio books.
...Which totally needs to happen now.
Democlus seems to be pretty smart. Unfortunately it appears everyone on the planet knows 4 AM is the prime moment to do unwanted things to imperial palaces.
Also Acantha has just gone open carry? I thought the idea with Aeneas' stealth gun was that it could be concealed...
Aeneas has always reminded me more of Jim Morrison. In fact, if him singing were to suddenly blare over loudspeakers or a city-wide PA system, I would not at all be surprised if he were to do a karaoke of The End
Annnd that would be Bidi opening the South Gate. I hope the crazy lil' cutie jumped before it hit. Then again, it's not her comic. Oh well, at least her goldfish was avenged ... and her cat ...and her dog ... and her parakeet ... and her family too.
If you don't understand 42, Chk, you need to hand in your nerd card and your pocket protector. you can have them back after you finish reading hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, but not before.
It's #2, actually. Keep in mind that Damnatio Memoriae uses holo-masks and assumed identities, usually lifted from movies, TV, and so on. NO ACTUAL BIDIS (OR THEIR FAMILIES) (OR DOGS OR GOLDFISH) WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS STRIP etc.
* Dolly's prototype body decides it's time for her to experience menopause.
* Marcus's stealth suit no longer helps when he has a sudden unexpected onset of Tourette Syndrome.
* TeeDee has a change of heart and decides violence is not the answer and quits in the middle of the rescue to go become a Buddhist Monk (or this era's equivalent).
* Ceci's conflicting systems cause her to be unable to stop doing jumping jacks, rendering her much less effective in a fight unless it's against straight human males.
* Centcomm accidentally routes her nuke launch authorization and targeting system to a dart board in a bar in the travel quarter.
* Connie turns out to be a plant all along, not by Centcomm, but by a previously unknown and hostile alien race that uses her to start taking over the ravaged Earth.
* Dr. Demark becomes Patient Zero for the zombie apocalypse.
* Epiphytes have a little known need every couple of millennia to kick ass and take names on a serious scale, causing Tulip to knock down the outer walls of New Rome as a start and keep going from there.
Doubly true because right now, I don't think there's any plan left going as it should. At least originally. Though some of the parties involved don't even know it yet.
Acantha cannot order the Cassians at all yet. If Decimus died, she could order Kali who could order the rest, though I'm not sure she could order the rest on her own until she came of age.
We do know that Noctis heard an out in the phrasing of the orders regarding Maxus which she hinted to Malati with Kali's blessing. While I'm not sure what it is yet, the implication is that she heard an out in the orders for herself and Nox as well.
Additionally, we know Miraiko was told by Tokyo Rose when Dolly & Ceci confirmed their presence. It's possible that Miraiko is going to meet with them and be a guide/local intel asset for targeting assistance, and Nox and Noctis might be their first targets and I'd bet on the trio over the duo in that match-up. We also don't know what Rose may have already planned to neutralize the Cassians. She's been in New Rome's systems for a long time, she could easily have something already in place to shut them down, break their inhibitors, alter their inhibitors (allegiance swap from Decimus to Acantha, for example), or otherwise take them out of opposition to her plans.
There are plenty of dangling plot threads that could easily stop Nox and Noctis from doing what Decimus wants them to do. Just a question of what the authors have planned.
The cassians are linked to the Livius family, that means Acantha and Decimus.
That also means that Acantha does have some control over them, the only reason they cannot put Acantha on the throne is because the Senate would not let them. Frankly, if the Senate wasn't in the way, the Cassians would gladly put her on the throne. And if Acantha is as smart as I think she is, and I suspect she is, she could simply demand Nox to tell her the specific orders that Decimus gave, and then work around the.
She could also abuse the fact that a bomb just went off, and it's the Cassians duty to protect the Livius family, and the safest place for Acantha right now, is in Aeneas' stronghold.
Heck, for all we know, that alone could mean that the Cassians would be obligated to escort her to the safest place, ie. to Aeneas. Also, such a situation, would definately trump any order that Decimus would have given.
Survival of the bloodline first, and Acantha has a baby factory, so she is *not* expendable!
The Minion was a slight influence on the sound effect, but I was for some reason also thinking of "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist". (I would've totally gone for the "Kentucky Fried Movie" alert if I thought I could get away with it.)
And then .. Aeneas starts singing over the loudspeakers across Nova Roma.
THEN they will have plenty of confusion! :)

Well, having a drone army rock up on your doorstep, courtesy of Centcomm, all chanting "Burn burn, yes you're gonna burn!", would be just as bad.
And Maxus probably have some confusion to add as well.
Granted, depending on the yield used the minimum amount necessary for that "some ways" will vary.
1) She's parodying Decimus's excuses when he carries out purges or
2) She has lost her family through Decimus's purges.
Of course, these intepretations aren't mutually exclusive. I tend more to 1) though.
No really, that's all the reasoning that Bidi needs to blow up the gate.
*points at Lynn's shirt*
The Plan(TM) is like an unstable house of cards caught in a sandstorm.

Need we revisit the Maxus slaughter house?
Well .. when he's is clad in anything. >_<
Alternatively, Acantha simply orders Nox to stop.

Thanks a lot, Rose! *shakes angry doggy paw at Rose*
Bad Tiger, BAD !
Well, at least noone said Kung Fu Panda !
*watches video*
The irony is, THAT EXPLOSION IS BASICALLY A HOMEMADE DOORBELL FOR YOU, LYNN!
Btw, the Little Sisters of the Immaculate Chainsaw, is from Simon R Green's "Something from the Nightside" series of books ... they are worth a read!
Also hoping that Kyle doesn't get his bum too toasted in trespassing around Aeneas' circuits. Man, so much is going on...
... sneaky.
I can imagine that.
