Awesome page! Nice to see them kicking some booty

Mark_L_A 30th Aug 2015, 9:02 PM edit delete reply

Why do I have a feeling that Dolly prefers the straight route?

ETA: CeCi's right hand looks like it's burned bad even with the magnetic sheath. I hope she doesn't suffer serious damage.
Centcomm 30th Aug 2015, 9:06 PM edit delete reply

Hey she would blow holes in the floor if it were practical ..
Tokyo Rose 30th Aug 2015, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

If the option was available to just blow through walls instead of following corridors, Dolly would be throwing breaching charges around like an epileptic juggler.
Sevian 31st Aug 2015, 5:04 PM edit delete reply

"Epileptic Juggler" ....I'm so stealing that one when the chance next presents itself. :)
Cperka 1st Sep 2015, 3:02 AM edit delete reply
I'd go instead of "badly burned" for "dirty with blood from the hearts she ripped out with her bare hand"
The Old Scribe 30th Aug 2015, 9:06 PM edit delete reply

Yay! It's Dolly and Ceci! Eight security squads about to be nine. Kick ass and take names, ladies. Shoot the wounded and hurdle the dead.
Centcomm 30th Aug 2015, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

Yes indeed! - its gonna get violet here folks! Buckle up!
The Old Scribe 30th Aug 2015, 9:12 PM edit delete reply

And ... and ... red and purple and green and red and yellow and red and orange and ...

HeeHeeHee :D
Centcomm 30th Aug 2015, 9:17 PM edit delete reply

Sheesh.. Violent .. ok? * eyerolls * LOL!
Fairportfan 31st Aug 2015, 12:02 AM edit delete reply

The only reason i'm not saying someting like "the old ultra violet, my droogies" right now is because Old Scribe beat me to it.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:31 AM edit delete reply

Hehe I remember that movie :D
Pirtnac 30th Aug 2015, 9:15 PM edit delete reply
Makes sense, as Dolly is about to smash two blue skittle guards in to that one red skittle guard.
Centcomm 30th Aug 2015, 9:19 PM edit delete reply

heh :D
DLKmusic 31st Aug 2015, 12:02 AM edit delete reply

Does that make Dolly and Ceci "Violet Fems"?
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:31 AM edit delete reply

Yes! :D
Sheela 1st Sep 2015, 3:45 PM edit delete reply

La femme fatales.
anonymous coward 30th Aug 2015, 9:07 PM edit delete reply
The question the blueberry asked actually isn't stupid: How do Dolly and Ceci have time to move if they're busy 'neutralizing' armed and armored squads of response forces? How did they manage to make progress traveling in a building that should be security locked against them and filled with stationary turrets and ambush and/or choke points being used by the defenders against them?
Centcomm 30th Aug 2015, 9:19 PM edit delete reply

Well one because someone gave them a easier path to take. The other is that Dolly and Ceci can cut down as many men in seconds.
Tokyo Rose 30th Aug 2015, 10:04 PM edit delete reply

Dolly and Ceci are not about to stop and explain that they were already inside the palace before the festivities began. They started out in the VIP guest area, which is behind most of the active lines of defense.
anonymous coward 31st Aug 2015, 7:39 AM edit delete reply
We know that, but they're still in an information-poor environment after having lost the network they'd look up her visitor credentials on. :)
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:31 AM edit delete reply

Pretty much! :D
Haegan2005 31st Aug 2015, 5:02 PM edit delete reply

I would note that after taking out 8 sec squads, Dolly and Ceci have created a pretty visible trail to follow for anyone going after them.

Which is what this crew sounds like it is doing.

Of course, 8 sec squads is going to create a hole in the reinforcements available to deal with other breaches. This in addition to reserves being tasked to hunt these two down and neutralize them so that they don't keep losing sec squads. Dolly and Ceci may actually have an effect upon this battle simply because of the men that are tied up looking for them.
Centcomm 30th Aug 2015, 9:18 PM edit delete reply

Yeah Id really rather not bring real world issues into this please.
Mark_L_A 30th Aug 2015, 9:22 PM edit delete reply

Please no real world politics or ideologies.

Emotions can get too wound up and it can destroy the happy place we have here.
jamie59 30th Aug 2015, 9:23 PM edit delete reply

8 already! That means you're just canon fodder.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:32 AM edit delete reply

Yea pretty much.. although Dolly and Ceci have mostly run into Reds at the moment.
Tokyo Rose 30th Aug 2015, 10:01 PM edit delete reply

She's trying to move as fast as possible under the cover of the palace invasion. Even if she did have breaching charges, blowing hales through walls would definitely draw an inconvenient amount of attention.
Stormwind13 31st Aug 2015, 5:31 AM edit delete reply

Especially considering the amount of BOOM they would need to breach the palace walls. If they are hardened, not normal civilian walls they would take several times the explosives to pass through. And time to clear enough to get through. Dolly is in a HURRY. Sacrificing safety for speed.
anonymous coward 31st Aug 2015, 7:47 AM edit delete reply
So, it wouldn't work because there's too many enemy forces in the palace for that kind of thing to lose more heat than it pulls? That's plausible if there are really that many troopers around, but you'd think they'd be busy with the attack, emergency response, VIP extraction and (probably) a bunch of other things too.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:29 AM edit delete reply

They are busy. However there are a few teams of blues that are tasked with recovering Acantha and Lynn. These are what Dolly and Ceci are running into.
mjkj 30th Aug 2015, 11:23 PM edit delete reply

Yayyy, go CeCi, go, Dolly!!!

...well, at least they get some target practice =D

I hope they do not kill Demo...

Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:33 AM edit delete reply

That all depends on Demo actually. Dolly is not in the mood to listen to a long story.
HiFranc 31st Aug 2015, 11:46 AM edit delete reply

In that case, I hope he can summarise.

I thought that this was the Black Palace, catt. Not the old town. I didn't think they would get that lost. :-)
Matt Knab 31st Aug 2015, 2:32 AM edit delete reply

Argh, and we're only ONE security squad!
Stormwind13 31st Aug 2015, 6:41 AM edit delete reply

Just think how terrifying it for the red shirts. A pretty little 'girl' with her little girl voice talking to her Mommy. All the while carving her way through squads of security personnel.

I would expect it to have an effect like the 'ghost fleet' had on Cushgar from the short story The Truth about Cushgar from the anthology Agent of Vega. :-)
Pirtnac 31st Aug 2015, 6:17 PM edit delete reply
Reminds me of that scene in Predator 2.

Of course, that has the "side-benefit' of terrorizing and endangering 'enemy civilians' that the Israelis don't like, but let's not talk about modern genocide morality if we can avoid it.

You did a great job of not talking about modern genocide morality - you only talked about the intended victims as the perpetrators.

Seriously, in that conflict, one side has the genocide of the other as the publicly-stated, printed-in-their-founding-document, "we are all willing to die and kill our children to accomplish this" PRIMARY goal, and that "other" side has had the capability to ACTUALLY commit genocide against the first for several decades and HAS NOT DONE SO.

And you're blaming them for what, not having the manners to lay down and let their self-avowed mortal enemies kill them? And you want to talk about MORALITY?

Seriously, I have no dog in that fight (not one of the involved people groups, don't live in the area), but every moral system on the planet would agree which side was the aggressor and which was the intended victim if only one side didn't have the name "Jew".
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:30 AM edit delete reply

Okay .. can we drop this please? I really hate to delete comments. But any more talk about that subject will have me hitting the delete button. I dont want anyone arguing please.
KarToon12 31st Aug 2015, 7:22 AM edit delete reply

You don't mess with someone who's got red eyes and talks sweetly while kicking your butt. 0.0
Stormwind13 31st Aug 2015, 12:23 PM edit delete reply

Also you shouldn't take on anyone that Dolly has taken under her wing, KarToon. When you are taking on someone that falls in BOTH categories, you are already screwed.
Kitty 31st Aug 2015, 8:07 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, I noticed the eyes...or more accurately, I kind of went, "Oh shit the eyes have gone red get out of the waaaaaayyy...!!"
Centcomm 1st Sep 2015, 2:44 PM edit delete reply

Yep Ceci is a freight train of pain right now :D
Sheela 1st Sep 2015, 3:49 PM edit delete reply

And after CeCi, comes Dolly.
Also a freight train of pain.

Might be a good idea to get out of their way. :)
Tokamada01 31st Aug 2015, 8:30 AM edit delete reply

Yay! CeCi!
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 2:03 PM edit delete reply

hehe its been a while sense we saw these two :D
chk 31st Aug 2015, 9:13 AM edit delete reply

Dolly and Ceci kicking ass at last.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 2:02 PM edit delete reply

Yes they are!
HiFranc 31st Aug 2015, 11:51 AM edit delete reply

I suspect that the guys in red, who answer to Max, may change sides when the General catches up with them. If that happens, I hope it happens before Dolly and Ceci get to Democlus.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 2:02 PM edit delete reply

Its possible but Max is still trying to sort things out.
Tokyo Rose 31st Aug 2015, 2:54 PM edit delete reply

Maxus is also hindered by the havoc in the communications network. He's got no way of knowing who the heck Dolly and Ceci are just yet; if he came into the scene right now, all he'd see are two combatants cutting a swath through the guards, and he'd react accordingly.

Now, if he had a moment to really LOOK at Dolly, that'd be different; he HAS studied the Taylor family and associates closely in the past couple of months, and he IS smart enough to at least call out her name or ID code and see if she reacts. That would change the situation drastically.
velvetsanity 31st Aug 2015, 3:31 PM edit delete reply

We all know that's a moot point if Nox reaches him first, Rose. :P
Tokyo Rose 1st Sep 2015, 12:37 AM edit delete reply

Nox isn't headed in Maxus's direction...
Sheela 1st Sep 2015, 3:50 PM edit delete reply

Here's hoping that Nox finds Kyle first. :D
Lukkai 1st Sep 2015, 5:16 PM edit delete reply

Rather unlikely. Unless he stayed around long enough for group ALAminusD to catch up to him.
Which he shouldn't have and most likely didn't.

They might catch up to him in the tunnel though, depending on their respective current modes of transport.
velvetsanity 2nd Sep 2015, 8:12 AM edit delete reply

Sorry, for some idiotic reason I was thinking you were talking about Democlus. 'S what I get for replying when I'm exhausted
HiFranc 31st Aug 2015, 11:54 AM edit delete reply

It looks like we're going to finish this month approximately 250 votes behind #10. However, as that was 500 votes behind not that not long ago, we stand a good chance next month. Don't forget to vote tomorrow.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 1:18 PM edit delete reply

Whooo! we kept at 11 !! That is awesome guys!
mjkj 31st Aug 2015, 2:49 PM edit delete reply

Well, closer to 200... =D

(209 at the moment...)

Dragonrider 31st Aug 2015, 12:30 PM edit delete reply

OK 30% down on shields, NOT GOOD, bet Ceci is even lower as she is on point. They need a recharge and fast or there may be very tense scenes. Please tell me Ceci makes it through in at least repairable shape Dolly is a given survivor.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 1:18 PM edit delete reply

Ceci is actually moving too fast to hit. and the hits have been minor so far. Dolly is being careful and this is the first flat out gauntlet shes been unable to avoid. or take down quickly.
Sheela 1st Sep 2015, 3:50 PM edit delete reply

Does the shield regenerate between fights ?
Mark_L_A 31st Aug 2015, 4:16 PM edit delete reply

Just noticed how CeCi's hair "Fluffs and twirls" Very good job for Lady Cent.
Centcomm 1st Sep 2015, 2:43 PM edit delete reply

Thanks .. that was a real pain in the rump to keep remembering to do. :D
Mark_L_A 1st Sep 2015, 3:56 PM edit delete reply

Which is just another reason why we come here to read your yours and Rose's story that you have put together and invited us in to see and read.

You give us a good story, with good writing, and good art.

and I know "I" appreciate it very much.

IDK who 'anonymous coward' is, but I'd be happy to serve him/her a nice big cup of "sit down and STFU". I have a dark alley and a bad idea in which to serve it.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 10:04 PM edit delete reply

The next time a " interesting post " like that or if anyone has a issue with a post please feel free to PM me about it via the comic fury PM system OR leave a comment - and ill handle it accordingly .. I may wind up disabling Guest comments if I have to - so far i haven't.
anonymous coward 31st Aug 2015, 11:09 PM edit delete reply
Sorry about all this, I wasn't trying to troll. If you think it'd help please edit out the last thirty-odd words, and if you can't just delete the particular offending comment.
Centcomm 31st Aug 2015, 11:16 PM edit delete reply

I cant edit Guest comments. Comic fury users do have the ability to edit there posts afterwards. All i can do is delete. - Just try to be more careful in the future. - We dearly love all out readers so this was not meant as a pick on you statement.

Edit. I killed the post.
anonymous coward 1st Sep 2015, 1:46 PM edit delete reply
I'm not offended, mostly embarrassed. You've got better things to do than clean up political opinion drama... like nearly anything else.
Centcomm 1st Sep 2015, 2:43 PM edit delete reply

I wont argue that point :D
Mark_L_A 1st Sep 2015, 3:59 PM edit delete reply

AC please sign up for an account. That way you can delete or edit your comments. It's free, you don't get any spam e-mails from comic fury and no one can get your contact info unless you put it into your public profile.

It also allows you to send and receive private messages and/or delete any comments you might make in error or haste.
anonymous coward 1st Sep 2015, 8:58 PM edit delete reply
There are reasons why I don't do that, or even use a pseudonym that is supposed to be uniquely identifiable.
Mark_L_A 1st Sep 2015, 9:27 PM edit delete reply

Use TOR or FREENet. Granted both of those are slow, but it would offer you the ability to keep track of your responses and allow you the ability to edit or delete your comments.
anonymous coward 1st Sep 2015, 9:53 PM edit delete reply
Legalities: If I register an account that implies pseudonymy that strips away legally understood absolute anonymity.
Centcomm 1st Sep 2015, 9:56 PM edit delete reply

Its not like you don't have a traceable IP address or anything. - Anyway. Having a CF account is one way of showing Support for the comic. But not the only way.
anonymous coward 2nd Sep 2015, 9:47 PM edit delete reply
Your traffic goes through IP addresses no matter what you do. It's not that I'm worried if people know which IP numbers my company traffic is routing through today; it's a question of liability insurance legalese.
HiFranc 1st Sep 2015, 12:31 AM edit delete reply

New month. New opportunity to get higher on TWC (whilst the differences in number of votes is between different comics).
HiFranc 1st Sep 2015, 12:55 AM edit delete reply

Will Dolly and Ceci have time to rescue Dusty's sister?

{edit}And talking about time, this is occuring at the same time that that Acantha and party entered the tram area.
mjkj 1st Sep 2015, 3:42 AM edit delete reply

Well, when the late douchie is taken care of I believe time is no longer an issue - so they can pick her up and get her to her sister... :D
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2015, 7:25 AM edit delete reply

You are being optimistic that Douchimus will be going away, mjkj. Maybe he won't be shuffling off stage. CentComm said they had plans for more Data Chasers. They will need a villain for that after all. Maybe Acantha or Lynn will be the one exiting the story the hard way. With the EVIL duo running things nothing is certain!
DLKmusic 1st Sep 2015, 10:04 AM edit delete reply

There's not going to be a lack of villians if Decimus goes away, Stormwind...

"Prince Decimus finally met his end at the hands of [insert responsible protagonist name here], And everyone lived happily ever after, except for the long line of Corporate Raiders, Robber Barons, Underworld Kingpins, and Assorted Senatorial Douchebags that prospered under the rule of Prince Decimus.

Funny how easy it is to make enemies of powerful people with long memories whom you don't even know, just by trying to do the right thing.
Stormwind13 1st Sep 2015, 11:09 AM edit delete reply

Possibly TRUE, DLK; however, I'm just pointing out the (EVIL) creative team has been continually surprising us. So don't EXPECT things to go smoothly. Or even CLOSE to the way you want it to. Only time will tell though.
Centcomm 1st Sep 2015, 2:42 PM edit delete reply

Dusty's Sister Katya has not been forgotten and that particular thread will be taken care of - I promise :D

Also we have 2 arcs in the works after this one .. So DC is in no danger of being out of storys by any means :D
Mark_L_A 1st Sep 2015, 4:02 PM edit delete reply

GAH!! We dropped to 22, get in there and vote folks. Get all of your friends to vote, change your IP's and vote again if you're feeling to play the system (Something I wish I could do, but my ethics won't allow me to)
rfaramir 3rd Sep 2015, 2:25 PM edit delete reply
Voting once from home and once from work helps.

If it's safe to do so, voting from mobile in between the two is good, too. My carrier is quite slow and I am usually driving, so I limit that to while eating lunch in the parked car some days.

If your eating establishment has WiFi, that's another IP address, yay!

Visit a friends house? Vote from their WiFi!

No need to manufacture IP addresses, they're all around.
Caley Tibbittz Collopy 12th Mar 2017, 12:03 PM edit delete reply

Ceci is BADASS. I don't recall fire-blasting ability... I like it. A lot.

(Coincidentally, I just re-watched Terminator 3 last night, and she ALSO blasts fire.)
