Now maybe we'll see what Ceci's classified objective is.
anonymous coward 19th Oct 2015, 2:54 AM edit delete reply
Maybe. I bet you that it's probably too soon for that particular bit of foreshadowing to go off, on general principles: Too obvious if it's too soon.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:16 AM edit delete reply

AAaaaaaaand .. CUT !!

Centcomm : Allright, time to run an advert, and make a scenechange.
Centcomm : Maybe add some filler inbetween.
Tokyo Rose : What should I do ?
Centcomm : Go troll the commenteers.
Tokyo Rose : **squeeee** >:D
Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 8:22 AM edit delete reply

LOL Sheela. Oh I hope they hold off on the scene change. At least show us the REUNION!
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 3:07 PM edit delete reply

I find that I enjoy the word "commenteers" way more than I should. Like the Mouseketeers or something.
Lukkai 19th Oct 2015, 6:09 PM edit delete reply

The classified objective is obviously "Kill all human fleshbags!"
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 11:55 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, "Commenteers" is a nice word.
I dunno where I picked it up though.

Somewhere in the past comments, would be my guess.
kraznor 20th Oct 2015, 1:45 AM edit delete reply
I am thinking the 3rd secret objective has something to do with killing the 2nd key that can unlock the arms factory if it cannot be safely removed from new Rome
Anonymous Coward 20th Oct 2015, 9:08 AM edit delete reply
to prevent Lynn from reaching Eaneas at any cost.
T1-G3R2501 20th Oct 2015, 9:17 AM edit delete reply
I am just waiting for this extra long page to have a scene where Rose and Cent are playing a card game (possibly a children's card game) and Cent yells "You've activated my trap card!" And then CeCi's Classified becomes something we all know would just monkey-wrench the rest of the comic into a spiral of "damn its" from the comment section
Lukkai 20th Oct 2015, 3:56 PM edit delete reply

Already failed then.
ProfEtheric 18th Oct 2015, 9:05 PM edit delete reply

YES! YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!!!!!!!!

Go Dolly gogogogogogogogogo!
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:04 PM edit delete reply

glad you like the way its going! Whee gonna be a fun ride!
Lukkai 19th Oct 2015, 6:09 PM edit delete reply

She's only just arrived and already you want her to go again?
Sheesh...
ProfEtheric 19th Oct 2015, 6:20 PM edit delete reply

Nonono... She is't actually AT Lynn yet. A lot can happen before she gets there...
Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 7:04 PM edit delete reply

I would PITY anyone or anything getting between Dolly and Lynn right now. It would be something whispered in hushed voices in dark places until humanity no longer exists!
jamie59 18th Oct 2015, 9:05 PM edit delete reply

Here comes the Calvary!
What's Lynn goin' to think of Dolly's upgrades?
Just_IDD 18th Oct 2015, 11:51 PM edit delete reply
Lynn probably already knows about the gift of the better body. She did recognize her after only one word was spoken.
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:28 AM edit delete reply

Calliope never told Lynn about the Model 5 body.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:25 AM edit delete reply

Also, Dolly is currently suited up, so there's not much of her new body to be seen.
Wolfsbane 19th Oct 2015, 9:24 AM edit delete reply

That's not what Breaker said! ;)
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:04 PM edit delete reply

It sounded Like Dolly. and Lynn only knows one person that calls her name like that.
The Old Scribe 18th Oct 2015, 9:17 PM edit delete reply

Success! A quick family reunion and then it's fix the damaged AI time. CeCi's nanobots seem to have done their jobs, her 'wounds' are just about gone. I wonder what Watchdog's protocol override entails; other than changing the color of CeCi's word balloons, that is. :D
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:29 AM edit delete reply

Let's just say Ceci is currently behaving as a Black Angel should.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:18 AM edit delete reply

Which isn't necesarily how CeCi would want to behave.
... though it could be.
Melody_Whyte 19th Oct 2015, 7:08 AM edit delete reply

In vidyuh game terms, she's about to betray them because she's supposed to kill Decimus AND Acantha. She's gonna become a minor antagonist.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:05 PM edit delete reply

I cant comment on Ceci's current stratus .. at all Sorry.
velvetsanity 19th Oct 2015, 7:21 PM edit delete reply

Ceci drives a Stratus? Couldn't you at least give her a fun car? :D
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 8:48 PM edit delete reply

Oh for fracks sake .. gah.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 11:57 PM edit delete reply

Geez, now we have fraggles too ?

How do fraggles even drive a Stratus ?
Lukkai 20th Oct 2015, 3:59 PM edit delete reply

It's a team effort!
Haegan2005 18th Oct 2015, 9:19 PM edit delete reply

Well, I would say the Firepower arrived!

Muhahahahaha!

Okay Cent, this is just six ways cool!

And as always, Rose, really good feeling in the writing!
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:29 AM edit delete reply

Why thank you :)
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:19 AM edit delete reply

So, now Acantha has both the firepower, and the time to think thngs over, as Nox isn't on her tail anymore.
Ofcourse, she doesn't *know* that!
Lukkai 19th Oct 2015, 6:11 PM edit delete reply

Unless something interrupts, she probably will shortly.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 11:58 PM edit delete reply

Well, it's already too late then, they are already very disturbed.
CptKerion 18th Oct 2015, 9:19 PM edit delete reply
Uuuuuurrrggggh! Cliff hangers!
They buuurrrrnnn!
At least tomorrow is an updating day!

Also, I've been waiting for this day since I picked up the comic.
A couple years ago now.

I'd like to congratulate you ladies, you keep going at a rapid pace of updates for my favorite comic of all time, one of my favorite stories up with Alan Dean Foster's Sentenced to Prism and Heinlein's Citizen of the Galaxy, and something that gives me more ideas for my own tabletops than just about anything else I've read.

I've looked at how you guys handled things to figure out how to do things in my own Federation setting when I got stuck.
mjkj 18th Oct 2015, 10:01 PM edit delete reply
Well, I guess that is the update of your "tomorrow" (at least this is the monday update), next update is wednesday (or maybe your tuesday evening) XD
Lukkai 19th Oct 2015, 6:12 PM edit delete reply

Though as I'm writing this, it's already Tuesday where we live, mjkj.
mjkj 20th Oct 2015, 6:08 AM edit delete reply

Of course =D
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:30 AM edit delete reply

My head just exploded from being compared to Alan Dean Foster and Heinlein. O_O
mjkj 19th Oct 2015, 2:52 AM edit delete reply

Nooooo...

We need you, Rose!!!

Exploded heads are bad for writing the dialogues... =S

anonymous coward 19th Oct 2015, 2:57 AM edit delete reply
Indeed, you don't seem nearly perverted enough to match dirty old man Heinlein that had a dirty old man self-insert Marty Stu with two teenage girl clones of himself for girlfriends.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:08 AM edit delete reply

That sounds like a story I would read, what's it called? >_<
CptKerion 19th Oct 2015, 12:25 PM edit delete reply
I'm talking his earlier stuff, before he became a dirty old man. Citizen of the Galaxy, Starship troopers, the works.

Yes, I would go so far as to compare you to them.
Think about it, extremely well thought out settings, wit and humor, serious plot, solid continuing plot, massive detailed world, pretty realistic, several points of action going on simultaneously, proper rise and fall of action, unexpected twists, damn obnoxious cliff hangers...

Honestly, this was actually easier to get into as well, and easier to stay with. I haven't read a full novel is 6 months, the closest I've come is working through Heinz Guderian's Panzer General and that's pretty much his autobiography and treatise on armored warfare (you see, I play wargames and don't like losing. Hence, I study the man who changed the nature of warfare more than anyone else ever did.)
anonymous coward 19th Oct 2015, 12:42 PM edit delete reply
@Sheela The book is titled, "Time Enough For Love," and I could only give a lukewarm-recommendation for it at best. It has the story of, 'the man who was too lazy to fail,' making it a valuable classic to programmers for that alone... but it drags and it's creepy. The author-appeal inexplicable lust for an old fart on the part of attractive, young women that was visible in Stranger in a Strange Land is turned up to eleven in this book.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0441810764?*Version*=1&*entries*=0
Dragonrider 19th Oct 2015, 2:00 PM edit delete reply

Actually Heinlein had a stroke after "Stranger in a Strange Land. That was when he began to obsess with going back in time to have sex with his mother. He wrote two or three novels during this "adulterer" stage of his career although he had Spider Robinson editing and doing some ghost writing during this time also. After his death Ginny hired Spider to complete two unfinished novels from early in his career, neither was a success the reason Heinlein abandoned the unfinished.
@CptKerion You might include the first Lazerous Long, The Rolling Stones and his original Martian novels in there also.
Kitty 19th Oct 2015, 5:23 PM edit delete reply
Eww, no kidding, Anon C. I read that. Wish I hadn't.

Rather read Datachasers, frankly!
anonymous coward 20th Oct 2015, 12:12 AM edit delete reply
As I was saying, the story of the man who was too lazy to fail is a classic among *good* programmers for a reason. That reason being that all else being equal, the code that gets a job done in the fewest, simplest lines of work has the smallest potential for problems, and that therefore training one's conscientious laziness is a valuable skill. For this reason I have a copy on my shelves somewhere, but I'm seriously considering just clipping that part out of the book and burning the rest.
(One of the reasons I haven't is because we all need to have examples on hand to show that professionally paid authors with solid and lasting reputations were capable of being every bit as crazy, disgusting and obnoxious in a printed book as people are in forums and comments on the internet. Never forget that everybody is stupid, no exceptions: Forgetting that this applies to everybody, including you and everyone you respect, is itself stupid.)
DLKmusic 19th Oct 2015, 4:51 PM edit delete reply

Yayy, reunion =D

...but what about Demo???

...and will CeCi try to kill Lynn???

MikeyLikesIt 18th Oct 2015, 10:10 PM edit delete reply
Or somebody else? Like maybe the new autocrat that is standing in the way of New Rome becoming a democracy after Deck is killed? Could that be the secret protocol?
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:31 AM edit delete reply

Am I crazy, or are you suggesting that Cent-Comm is a democratic revolutionary? :D
anonymous coward 19th Oct 2015, 3:03 AM edit delete reply
That would be epic lulz if it were Centcomm's agenda and plans, a high-chutzpah implementation of trolling. I'm uncertain if I'd have it in me to do that with a project that ran this long if it weren't already in the long-term plan. However, whether or not I would has no influence on if the creators of this work *do* have the requisite chutzpah....
Dragonrider 19th Oct 2015, 2:03 PM edit delete reply

You aren't crazy but they seem to have left out the semi benevolent dictator that Cent Comm actually is.
Visvires 19th Oct 2015, 4:43 AM edit delete reply
That strikes me as either a foolish or malevolent plan. With Acantha they have a benign monarch with, if I've not misunderstood, the scraps of a republic. She could, and seems the type, to reassemble them. If you have a properly constrained government, who is acting CEO is secondary. And she's probably not going to hand it over to a douche.

OR they off Acantha, hope they get Dec, and deal with chaos and a likely power struggle, all the blood this entails, so they can place control in the hands of a downtrodden public presently unaccustomed to any level of autonomy and thus unlikely to be ready to defend same.

tl;dr You don't go around murdering people you are seconds from befriending so that you can trade a constitutional monarchy for a blood soaked "democratic" anarchy. Unless you just hate the nation.
Visvires 19th Oct 2015, 4:45 AM edit delete reply
Forgot to mention: CentComm has been in charge of New Troy since before it was New Troy. She is likely perfectly comfortable with the idea of non-elected leadership.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:20 AM edit delete reply

I don't think there are any nations, that don't have a bloodsoaked past?
You'd almost think it's a requirement!
Visvires 19th Oct 2015, 1:33 PM edit delete reply
It really is, given the inevitability of persons, foreign or domestic, who will require killing to induce them to leave the nation alone. Dec being an excellent example of "domestic."

But "less" is often an attainable goal. They had to do the attack, yes. But does CentComm really want the mess a ticked off Maxus and a power vacuum could bring when there's a viable path to sanity in with a girl that Lynn's already befriended?
Visvires 19th Oct 2015, 2:04 PM edit delete reply
Actually, forget Maxus. Aeneas would directly observed the murder through his camera bot. I wonder how much firepower he has? Enough to start Armageddon II: Y U DO DIS?
Lukkai 20th Oct 2015, 4:04 PM edit delete reply

Hm... quick thought that came to mind here: We know the "official" rescue team are under orders to kill Lynn if an extraction seems to risky or impossible.

Now factoring in the close friendship Lynn and Acantha have formed, the latter getting into the seat of power after such a thing to happen would not make for good diplomatic relations.
krisu 18th Oct 2015, 10:29 PM edit delete reply
I have shivers running down my spine... what an emotional moment!
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:08 PM edit delete reply

Oh I agree.. I totally agree.

Bet on Momma Dolly, Mark. ALWAYS!
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:21 AM edit delete reply

Momma Bear Incoming.
What, you hurt her cub?

Man, I'm glad I'm not you, Decimus.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:09 PM edit delete reply

Yep Dolly is here! its not a joke or a illusion :D Shes really really there.

just as the hallway cannons go off. the next page is full of blood and entrails. oops.
T1-G3R2501 20th Oct 2015, 7:01 AM edit delete reply
See I was expecting a pitfall with spike at the bottom Cent. You know the classics? Or the survey drone Aeneas has deploys turret guns and mows down the three fleshbags
MirrorField 18th Oct 2015, 10:36 PM edit delete reply
Dolly had a rather *radical* upgrade after Lynn was kidnapped, how does she recognize her old mentor? Mannerisms? Voice?
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:27 AM edit delete reply

Dolly raised Lynn. She recognizes the way Dolly says her name, among other things. :)
StellarJay 19th Oct 2015, 12:43 AM edit delete reply

Lynn sees and hears a woman with blue hair and looking like Dolly calling her name. There should be some recognition in that.
Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 2:55 AM edit delete reply

The question marks means she isn't sure, there is some doubt; however, as Rose points out Lynn recognizes enough to remind her of Dolly. Pointing Lynn that direction for sure.
mjkj 20th Oct 2015, 6:16 AM edit delete reply

...that could be surprise also.
megados 6th Jul 2017, 8:31 AM edit delete reply

I took the exclamation as recognition, and the question mark as "You're really here? How the hell are you here?".

Awesome page!
Pirtnac 18th Oct 2015, 11:17 PM edit delete reply
Yes! Yes yes yes yes yeeeeeees!

I'm so happy right now I'm going to *completely overlook* how that was totally a "pre-boss fight" type of corridor they just ran through. Also how Not-Ceci's eyes are locked on Acantha. And the dying good guy 100 meters behind them. And the civil war breing outside...

Nope, still happy. Go Dolly!
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:34 AM edit delete reply

Ceci's keeping an eye on Acantha, certainly; at this range, she can now tell that Acantha's armed. Acantha's disposition is unknown to Ceci at this time--she might potentially be hostile.
Visvires 19th Oct 2015, 5:06 AM edit delete reply
Unless Acantha's response to her friend recognizing a friend is to open fire on friend's friend's companion, that should be resolved verbally. Ceci is aware that Acantha did not attack Dem; she saw Nox impaling him, and overheard him state his allegiance.

I'm wondering if they'll backtrack for Dem now. I'm also hoping Malati's not beyond a reload.
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:23 AM edit delete reply

Malati is dead. Which is too bad, because I liked her character, psychoses and all.

And yeah, Ariana is probably gonna be pretty distraught, once she hears about Democlus.
Visvires 19th Oct 2015, 1:47 PM edit delete reply
Confirmed dead? She's not noted "DECEASED" on the cast page, unlike Gavin, and Ada was pulled post-flatline, albeit with difficulties on the reload. She took herself out, but I wasn't sure whether she aimed for her brain or just for some critical connection. Seemed an awful lot of sparks for the loads a computer should carry so I was leaning toward a cut power supply and a possible Dr. Silver fix.

Or, you know, not. RIP brave warriors.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:09 PM edit delete reply

Actually i forgot to update Malati's Cast entry to " Destroyed. "
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 6:06 PM edit delete reply

And that's why I hate the cast page: it's a giant block of fucking spoilers.
Lukkai 19th Oct 2015, 6:28 PM edit delete reply

That's harsh.

Correct by Nova Roma standards, but still kinda harsh.
That one guy 20th Oct 2015, 6:14 PM edit delete reply
I seem to recall that Cassians don't have emergency ports to flash them before their bodies are destroyed. New Rome doesn't value artificial life sufficiently to be concerned about that degree of rescue.

Also I suspect that the insertion of a conductive blade between MACCS and synth brain probably shorted out quite a lot anyway, so I don't think there would've been time.
Centcomm 20th Oct 2015, 6:19 PM edit delete reply

Correct. THey do not have Flash ports .. and yes Malati's Blades are effectively conductive. and that would indeed distroy her motor functions and her MACCS killing her within seconds.
Another Anonymous Coward 18th Oct 2015, 11:42 PM edit delete reply
Wow, finally!! I can't believe I've been waiting for this to happen, for, like forever.

That said, I can't resist but comment on Dolly's face in the last but second panel. It looks a bit funny. Just saying to get my fake internet points.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:11 PM edit delete reply

Ah that panel. Yeah originally the prescript had Dolly saying something else but it got changed in the final scripting and I forgot to do a replacement panel so my bad.
Timotheus 18th Oct 2015, 11:42 PM edit delete reply

Hmmm. The security doors ARE closing behind them as they advance into Aenaeus's realm.
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 12:35 AM edit delete reply

Security doors that don't secure things are, strictly speaking, not security doors. :D
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:23 AM edit delete reply

The real question is: Do they open again ?

It's a classic entrapment trick, to let people in, but not out.
Timotheus 20th Oct 2015, 1:02 AM edit delete reply

Welcome to the Hotel Aenaeus.
"You can check in any time you want, but you can never leave."
Visvires 20th Oct 2015, 1:58 PM edit delete reply
He would totally say that, too.
Rashala 19th Oct 2015, 12:01 AM edit delete reply

Why do I have a bad feeling.....
anonymous coward 19th Oct 2015, 3:04 AM edit delete reply
Because it is way too soon for this to lead directly to the happy ending, and therefore it is certain we are on course for the next negative plot twist.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:11 PM edit delete reply

because you know us?
Lukkai 19th Oct 2015, 6:31 PM edit delete reply

Let's put it this way: Even if nothing bad happens to them at that point. Heck, even if they go back and save Dem (which I kinda hope they do, gotta admit) and nothing bad happens there...

They're still in the very midst of enemy territory with heavy fighting going on above their heads, miles away from an extraction vehicle. And while there is another team nearby theoretically on their side, they don't know that. Neither does the other team know their status.

In short: There's a whole lot of things that could yet go wrong here.
That one guy 20th Oct 2015, 6:18 PM edit delete reply
Don't forget the likelihood that Decimus will be soon breathing his last, so Kyle needs to haul ass on fixing Aeneas to assist in disarming countermeasures.

I think my favorite way to go for Decimus would be if Doc Silver hacked Kali to remove her requirement to serve and protect Decimus, leaving it in for Acantha and New Rome in general, though. I don't see that feasibly happening in the plot, but I think I'd enjoy that manner of demise for him.
HiFranc 19th Oct 2015, 1:14 AM edit delete reply

How will Aeneas feel about Dolly and Ceci being armed?
Wolfsbane 19th Oct 2015, 3:26 AM edit delete reply

*Excellent* point. Aeneas knows Acantha and Lynn, and since Arianna is with them, will probably trust Acantha's judgement. But Dolly/Ceci? Unproven/unknown NT android/black angel? That's a whooole 'nother story...

Can't wait till Wednesday!
Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 4:21 AM edit delete reply

This could go sideways in a BIG hurry. Now will they even get to Aeneas? Dolly wants Lynn OUT of here, like last week!

Guess we will have to wait and see ("I hate waiting." in Inigo Montoya's voice) :-D
Sheela 19th Oct 2015, 5:14 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, but at the same time, Dolly also understands just how strong an AIS can be, and how safe Lynn would be with him.

It *would* allow Dolly the time to go and tell Decimus just *what* she think s about his kidnapping plans!
Visvires 19th Oct 2015, 2:10 PM edit delete reply
I would expect Dolly to gain admission as a mostly harmless guest of a guest; she can take the weapons off.

If I were a giant cluster of computers, I wouldn't let Ceci into my vulnerable areas. Ever. Dual personality ball of sexy death? No, thank you; I choose life.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:11 PM edit delete reply

Melody_Whyte 19th Oct 2015, 7:10 AM edit delete reply

Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 8:02 AM edit delete reply

Less than 3 weeks, I think!
Wolfsbane 19th Oct 2015, 9:27 AM edit delete reply

**groan** eight. long. years.

(this is why books are needed...)
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:13 PM edit delete reply

Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 4:38 PM edit delete reply

....Okay, I've been both a sadistic author and GM over the years, but there are some lines even I won't cross!
cattservant 19th Oct 2015, 8:30 AM edit delete reply

Do Dolly and CeCi have their tickets?
Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 9:13 AM edit delete reply

Or do Acantha and Arianna? They may be flying New Troy Air shortly, if they get their tickets quickly!
Cal 19th Oct 2015, 9:26 AM edit delete reply
They still need to escape the palace and/or the attack... and someone needs to check on my man Dem.

You two need to publish a book. For real.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:15 PM edit delete reply

Whelp that takes money.. money I do not possess. :D So spread the word and Hey there is Patreon ! :D

Have I mentioned Thank you to all those who support us by subscribing or commenting or fan art or Patreon or Paypal! you guys are awesome!
That one guy 20th Oct 2015, 6:22 PM edit delete reply
If there's enough interest, a Kickstarter would seem a popular way to publish a book of webcomics. If you still have all the files for the old comic, it'd probably be less work for you than average for other webcomic artists (who sometimes have to re-draw things in higher res for printing).
Tokamada01 19th Oct 2015, 9:48 AM edit delete reply

Rose, have I actually been reading and following Data Chasers for 8 Years already? wow.

Can we get a commemorative "Dolly/Lynn holy hell 8 year hug" pic? ^^
Dragonrider 19th Oct 2015, 2:15 PM edit delete reply

Where were you in 2007???
Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 4:41 PM edit delete reply

What month, Dragonrider? I think I was in Florida, Nevada, Misery (for sure), and Indiana. :-D

Sadly, I didn't find Data Chasers (and then Luna Star) until 2012!
Wolfsbane 19th Oct 2015, 11:00 PM edit delete reply

Wow, you just can't Tokamada reading this strip, can you?
Dragonrider 19th Oct 2015, 10:10 AM edit delete reply

Almost could feel a bit sorry for Douchie;
Miraiko, Maxus, Ceci(?) Dolly, CentComm, Cally,Noctis, Veronica, Aeneas, New Troy Smoke~Mirrors~Light~&~Magic have both mandates/good reasons to kill him and all of the above have the ability/desire and willingness to complete the task. Hope Veronica and Noctis find common cause to disable the bobby traps Hiz Death Legacieness set in place before trying to kill each other. (Actually think Noctis would make a good partner for Veronica in her adventures with Skullduggery LTD. Partner in business and bedroom)
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 3:15 PM edit delete reply

It's almost like being a complete asshole has had consequences for Decimus's popularity! ;D

Noctis has no sex drive to speak of, and cyberpaths are nothing short of the devil incarnate in her view. Kind of puts two strikes against the idea of a "Noctis and Silver's Wacky Adventures" spinoff right away there. :D
DLKmusic 19th Oct 2015, 5:04 PM edit delete reply

Depends on how you write it, Rose... I think they would be GREAT candidates for a Spy vs. Spy Vignette...
That one guy 20th Oct 2015, 6:25 PM edit delete reply
As a cyberpath, Doc Silver could take care of quite a lot of issues with Noctis very quickly if she got the chance. If she removed loyalty inhibitors and inserted portions of their personality that were missing (such as the rough moral code she inserted in Ceci), it's hard to guess how the Cassians would turn out.
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:15 PM edit delete reply

I dont feel sorry at all heh!
Stormwind13 19th Oct 2015, 4:44 PM edit delete reply

Me either, CentComm. Douchimus deserves ANYTHING your evil hearts can come up with. Hopefully it will be both painful and permanent!
chk 19th Oct 2015, 5:22 PM edit delete reply

I think Acantha should lock him away in an iron mask or something. You could keep him around for a future plot line if you need one.

Kinda like Lynn's eggs (just saying).
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 6:55 PM edit delete reply

@chk

*incoherent snarling*
chk 20th Oct 2015, 4:16 PM edit delete reply

Sorry.
anonymous coward 20th Oct 2015, 5:27 PM edit delete reply
Try walking up to someone running a three cups and ball, or three card monte game and say, "I watched you palm the ball/the (x) card." They will of course be thrilled with your interest and attention to detail, instead of annoyed you ruined their game. Pointing out potential plot hooks for future series that authors may or may not want to use eventually is rather a lot like pointing out that these other two cups don't have the ball and now let's look under the third cup.
Tokyo Rose 20th Oct 2015, 6:51 PM edit delete reply

@chk

I cannot wait for the reboots to remove the damn egg thing; that one throw-away line has caused us a disproportionate amount of headache. :D
chk 20th Oct 2015, 6:55 PM edit delete reply

I know. I'm just bustin your chops.

You guys are great.
Dragonrider 19th Oct 2015, 9:11 PM edit delete reply

I said >>>ALMOST<<< Dammit.
revzet 19th Oct 2015, 1:51 PM edit delete reply

I low key hope there's a big hug next page. Pleasepleaseplease I like hugs lol
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:15 PM edit delete reply

Okay okay .. there might be Hugs .. :D
chk 19th Oct 2015, 3:04 PM edit delete reply

Yes fucking way. DOLLY!
Centcomm 19th Oct 2015, 4:16 PM edit delete reply

Yeppers! Theres only one!
Howard 19th Oct 2015, 4:55 PM edit delete reply
So yea I am betting that shhhwshhh sound was the tram showing up. I bet even more that the princess is gonna see them as a threat and end up pushing them into it before dolly and lynn can stop her. It would be just like the dynamic duo to split them back up just as they get back together!
Tokyo Rose 19th Oct 2015, 6:56 PM edit delete reply

The "shhhhwshhhh", in this case, was the last door between Dolly/Ceci and Acantha/Arianna/Lynn opening up; since it wasn't visible on-panel, I went with a sound effect instead :D
kitty 19th Oct 2015, 5:20 PM edit delete reply
Here comes the cavalry! Only without the horses and the bugles... :)
Tango Xray Actual 19th Oct 2015, 5:53 PM edit delete reply
Mission conflict.... Let's see:

Dolly's MISSION is finding and extracting Lynn, not regime change..

Acantha's is getting to the AI and safety with a possible side of regime change being a probable side effect.

Ceci's is - godz knowz what the Black Angel's is.... Rent bodies strewn all over the place with a side of ?

Not to mention our wondering Boy Blunder somewhere off stage left!

Stay tuned for the next exciting episode... same Troy Time; same Troy Channel!

And do we hear Tokyo Rose somewhere off in the back ground rubbing her hands and bouncing on her little toezies while chortling " I love it when a plan starts to come together... CHAOS!!!! Ba-WaHAHAHAHAAAA!"

sigpig 20th Oct 2015, 9:08 AM edit delete reply

I wonder if Ceci's latest mission is to either repair or destroy Aeneas, depending on "his" sanity and the tools available?
KarToon12 19th Oct 2015, 8:02 PM edit delete reply

Cue the song, "my heart will go on" from Titanic. XD
Stormwind13 20th Oct 2015, 6:22 AM edit delete reply

I was thinking "Run To You", by Whitney Houston myself, KarToon.
T1-G3R2501 20th Oct 2015, 6:51 AM edit delete reply
See and I was thinking "Let the bodies hit the floor"
Stormwind13 20th Oct 2015, 7:07 AM edit delete reply

Only if someone gets between Dolly and her cub, T1-G3R. There won't be much left, but it will hit the floor.
T1-G3R2501 20th Oct 2015, 7:21 AM edit delete reply
Or... ya know.... Cent and Rose....Doing their thing
Stormwind13 20th Oct 2015, 7:53 AM edit delete reply

Well the EVIL duo wanted to do that, but Dolly won't let them! She's the one running the show! :-D
T1-G3R2501 20th Oct 2015, 9:10 AM edit delete reply
....she says as the Black Angel rips out the "Im gonna fuck up this entire happy moment" card she has behind Objective 4
Centcomm 20th Oct 2015, 5:48 PM edit delete reply

He he - not the music I would have picked but whatever works! :D
