Seriously, trust her. Tiny can still be deadly as heck.

And Dolly getting rid of the tracker first is actually the best thing she can do. Though that will tell Deci that something strange just happened.

Okay Sheela, instead of kyle, can we do douchebag instead?
anonymous coward 27th Oct 2015, 9:41 PM edit delete reply
That would be if Decimus' staff still has the ability to track this stuff and make meaningful analysis of what they receive. They're kinda busy fighting a war, tracking Lynn might get lost in the shuffle of having approximately no 3C. I share the misgivings about giving our heir to Nero stimuli to react to, because he has shown genuine talent for picking the most foolish and destructive options over the competing possibilities.
Haegan2005 27th Oct 2015, 9:53 PM edit delete reply

The Cassians are still tracking her.

They have been updating Deci on Lynn's movements.
Timotheus 27th Oct 2015, 10:19 PM edit delete reply

The cassian that was tracking her and relaying information is no longer doing so. It was implied by his lowness she was his only source of information on her location. While it is possible that she could be relocated by means of her tracker later, right now I believe no one is looking for her and the system for doing so is inoperable. Still, removing it is a good idea.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:38 AM edit delete reply

Heck, the fact that Nox is no longer able to answer calls, is information, that something is awry.

Also, ew, I don't wannt "do" douchebag! >:(
Greenwood Goat 28th Oct 2015, 2:41 AM edit delete reply
Hehe, in the sex comedy sci-fi parody Flesh Gordon, Emperor Wang the Perverted, the tyrannical and deviant ruler of Planet Porno, was commonly addressed by his subjects as "your lowness" and also as "degenerate one". I think Prince Dic the Incestuous would be equally deserving of such accolades!
Dragonrider 27th Oct 2015, 9:05 PM edit delete reply

Dolly is choosing to ignore the elephant in the room. Makes one think unpleasant things about Dollys plans for Cent-Com when she returns..
anonymous coward 27th Oct 2015, 9:42 PM edit delete reply
Or she is distracted, or prioritizing, or trying to grab information to work out what to do.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:39 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, no reason to fight the elephant until necesary.
Stormwind13 28th Oct 2015, 8:28 AM edit delete reply

When Dolly does decide to deal with that elephant we all will know it. She'll get out the elephant gun for that job. Having the proper tool for the job is very important. :-D
Tokyo Rose 28th Oct 2015, 3:02 PM edit delete reply

Depends on which elephant it is, possibly. There's arguably a herd of them available to stomp around the parlor disarraying the doilies and knocking over the knick-knacks.

'Lil camera bot is still there, and fixated on Ceci. Acantha mentioned Aeneas, perhaps he'll pipe up now and rejoin the conversation.
Mark_L_A 28th Oct 2015, 1:23 AM edit delete reply

I'm wondering if part of the Classified Directive is for CeCi to become Aeneas' new girlfriend. :) Although I think Dolly would take an exception to that, she like CeCi, not the Black Angel and even though she herself is using CeCi to help her rescue Lynn, Dolly would want CeCi to be able to make those choices that CeCi was wondering about before, on her own. NOT through CentComm's interference.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:41 AM edit delete reply

I still think that Aeneas as a wizard is funny. :)

DLKmusic 28th Oct 2015, 2:48 AM edit delete reply

That would be a good thing, Pirtnac, as Aeneas doesn't like armed visitors, and Ceci is... by definition, an armed visitor.

Even without Ceci, Dolly would have a lot of explaining to do as well...
Wolfsbane 28th Oct 2015, 5:56 AM edit delete reply

Don't they all have arms?
sigpig 28th Oct 2015, 7:26 AM edit delete reply

No, they have "chest-legs"...
CptKerion 28th Oct 2015, 12:30 PM edit delete reply
Aeneas will now forever be in a wizard hat and cape for me... Forever.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 3:56 PM edit delete reply

And not just any sort of wizard, he's an evil wizard from the movie "The Color of Magic" by Terry Prachett !

I thought it was fitting. :)
The Old Scribe 27th Oct 2015, 9:20 PM edit delete reply

Ohhh, yeahhh, she's a Black Angel alrighty. Once Lynn's scanner is deactivated, Prince Douchebag can throw another spit flecked fit that she's escaped; presuming it's signal even gets through thanks to Doc. Silver. I'm wonderin' if CeCi's 'additional programming' is to link up CentCom with Aeneas so they can have a chat.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:43 AM edit delete reply

Presuming the signal even changes at all .. maybe thay can have it continue calling out like it does now and send it with the tram to Aeneas' lair. Then Decimus will think that she's hiding out at Aeneas, while she's being extracted to New Troy.
chk 28th Oct 2015, 7:44 AM edit delete reply

Hmmmm. Interesting idea Sheela. That would certainly throw everyone off the trail.

Still, I think it would be better for Nova Roma if she stays. No doubt Cent and Rose have their own unexpected ideas.
DLKmusic 27th Oct 2015, 9:21 PM edit delete reply

A hardy Congrats, Cent-Comm and Rose! looks like Datachasers is gonna finish the month at 14 on TWC. 3rd month in a row that you're under 20, and 2 of 3 you are under 15!

As Mayor Curly often said....

Vote early! Vote often!
Just_IDD 27th Oct 2015, 10:05 PM edit delete reply
And with TWC voting often is Approved!
Wolfsbane 27th Oct 2015, 11:48 PM edit delete reply

Just curious, how do you get higher in the ranking (besides the obvious answer, "more votes")? Is it just a matter of advertising/marketing to drive more traffic to the site? Besides bragging rights, does it actually benefit CC/TR? Looking at this level, in order to move even one position requires a *lot* of votes. Getting into the top 10 is almost doubling the amount of votes from a position in the teens.
Mark_L_A 28th Oct 2015, 1:06 AM edit delete reply

More exposure, more readership. And with those two, it's the possibility for more subscribers and possibly more supporters through Patreon or straight donations.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:45 AM edit delete reply

True - What they could really use, is more patreons.

Still, higher TWC rankings is neat too.
And we can do both. :)
chk 28th Oct 2015, 7:47 AM edit delete reply

How does one vote on TWC?
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 9:07 AM edit delete reply

There's a button for voting on Top Web Comics bwteeen the navigation buttons and the Patreon button.
Stormwind13 28th Oct 2015, 10:01 AM edit delete reply

And an identical TWC button at the bottom of the page (past the comments).
chk 28th Oct 2015, 12:36 PM edit delete reply

Done. Thanks.
DLKmusic 28th Oct 2015, 6:28 PM edit delete reply

just a reminder about TWC, chk... you can vote for as many comics as you like, but only 1 vote per comic per day, per computer...
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 6:52 PM edit delete reply

Erhh .. not per comment, surely ?
If that was the case, I could throw many votes around. XD

*lols imagining Teedee standing next to she is called Tiny...looks UP at Ceci......and starts to have an eyetwitch
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:46 AM edit delete reply

She'd consider CeCi a challenge, I think.
Even if CeCi is probably stronger than TeeDee, she'd probably still give it a go.
cattservant 27th Oct 2015, 10:49 PM edit delete reply

Small packages...
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:46 AM edit delete reply

Placed firmly, in all the right locations!

Firmware, indeed.
anonymous coward 28th Oct 2015, 9:48 PM edit delete reply
Are you both trying to goad me into responding with, "That's what she said," here? Because it won't work this time, or at least you haven't tried hard enough yet.
Sheela 29th Oct 2015, 11:36 AM edit delete reply

... you just said it ? :)
mjkj 27th Oct 2015, 11:06 PM edit delete reply

Tiny? Size does matter - but not that much...

Trust her? Only if she is in CeCi-mode...

Stormwind13 28th Oct 2015, 11:40 AM edit delete reply

Dynamite comes in small packages, mjkj? :-D

And that was Dolly Lynn was to trust, mjkj. Which is pretty much a given. Your comment on not CeCi is good advice though.
Matt Knab 28th Oct 2015, 1:03 AM edit delete reply

Tiny is like camouflage.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 1:47 AM edit delete reply

On a battlefield, big targets attract big fire.
So there's a real advantage to being tiny.
Greenwood Goat 28th Oct 2015, 3:12 AM edit delete reply
Lynn: Aw! She's so small. And cute! Can I give her a hug?

Ceci: That is within mission parameters. As is not if I hug you first! *dash* *glomp* Gotcha, big sis!

Lynn: Big sis?!

Ceci: Mmm-hmmm! Biggest, bestest sister ever! And little sisters don't let big sisters get hurt! Ever!

So, will we get "big sis" reference before Dolly has to explain why Ceci calls her "mommy"?
jamie59 28th Oct 2015, 3:20 AM edit delete reply

Tiny can be deadly Lynn & Ceci is very deadly.
Stormwind13 28th Oct 2015, 10:32 AM edit delete reply

Yeah jamie. The Golden Poison Frog is about 2" long (55 mm), but the poison in its skin could kill TWO bull elephants!!! Talk about small but deadly!
Boren 28th Oct 2015, 6:48 AM edit delete reply
Size matters not, judge me by my size do you?
Stormwind13 28th Oct 2015, 10:35 AM edit delete reply

Tokyo Rose 28th Oct 2015, 3:04 PM edit delete reply

He was only mostly dead.
anonymous coward 28th Oct 2015, 9:50 PM edit delete reply
Not dead at all, just pining for the fjords.

Morituri 29th Oct 2015, 3:59 PM edit delete reply
Rather like Aeneas himself?
stoppdenbus 28th Oct 2015, 1:14 PM edit delete reply

Strange - Dolly did not batter an eye when Acantha said that Aeneas fiddled with the tracker. But for New Troy Aeneas the AIS of New Rome is no more:

"I thought the new rome AIS complex was dead":

"All the historical records say that Aeneas was destroyed. Event Cent-Comm said so. Does Cent know the truth? Why would she lie?"
Tokyo Rose 28th Oct 2015, 3:06 PM edit delete reply

The information Ceci's been picking up indicates otherwise. Dolly suspects that what Acantha's been making friends with is probably a satellite system, not actually Aeneas himself--but she's open to the possibility. After all, no one but Acantha (and Lynn) has been inside Aeneas's Tower since Aurelian stormed it. Comm links to the outside may have been cut, leading Cent-Comm to make an assumption that might not have been true after all... and Dolly, at this point, has reason not to blindly trust Cent-Comm's word any more.
Sheela 28th Oct 2015, 3:59 PM edit delete reply

Besides, being a badass, Dolly might have one good pokerface !
Wolfsbane 28th Oct 2015, 11:09 PM edit delete reply

I wouldn't poker face, if I was you. She might not like getting poked there.
Sheela 29th Oct 2015, 11:38 AM edit delete reply

.. poke 'er ? But I just met 'er ?
Wolfsbane 29th Oct 2015, 2:35 PM edit delete reply
