He's a walking TANK.
Visvires 10th Nov 2015, 11:26 PM edit delete reply
With helmet missiles. HELMET MISSILES! Maybe not a great idea, if they get hit and go off that's a bad place for them, but so cool looking.

<3 the predator gun too.
Wolfsbane 11th Nov 2015, 6:11 AM edit delete reply

Is that a Lord General with fricken laser beams attached to his head?? COOL!
Sheela 11th Nov 2015, 10:26 AM edit delete reply

Well yeah, how else are you going yo headbutt a main battle tank properly, if you don't have beam weapons on your helmet ?

T1-G3R2501 12th Nov 2015, 6:49 AM edit delete reply
I wouldn't suggest it... I headbutted a tank once and now I don't remember some stuff.... i think like math

Thank you all that have and are serving, to protect our freedoms.

Ever since this guy wrote this song and I heard it.... it's always the one I feel most appropriate for today.

Ah, we don't have veteran's day here in Denmark, but we had Mortensaften yesterday (the evening before St. Martin's Day). :)

I think Noctis is grieving, as much as she can for those that were lost. Though Hrist isn't actually gone. Just seriously injured.

Noctis is gambling on Maxus' honorable nature, I think. If Irene had been hurt then she would have been splattered all over the far wall though.
Visvires 10th Nov 2015, 11:54 PM edit delete reply
From what we've seen of his stance on the inhibitor - for a human that's no excuse, but for you it's the literal truth - it's a good bet. Just as soon as that one order is resolved...
ProfEtheric 10th Nov 2015, 9:44 PM edit delete reply

Save one... but what?

So much remaining tension!
Stormwind13 10th Nov 2015, 10:07 PM edit delete reply

At least they didn't do that on a Friday, ProfEtheric. And make us wait ALL weekend to find out. :-)
Tango Xray Actual 10th Nov 2015, 11:20 PM edit delete reply
As usual!
Mister Black 11th Nov 2015, 6:43 AM edit delete reply

Didn't they tell you? Friday is going to be a 'guest art' day!

ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! ::Sends a Boba Fett clone after Mr. Black:: Get him!!!
Marcus Ramesy 11th Nov 2015, 10:00 AM edit delete reply

friday's comic will be hand drawn using stick people from one of my briefing reports... .... you have been warned.
Stormwind13 11th Nov 2015, 10:45 AM edit delete reply

DOUBLE ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH! ::Calls up Der Rock the Destroyer:: Get Marcus, Der Rock!!! Watch him boy, he's a fairly dangerous man!
Marcus Ramesy 11th Nov 2015, 9:28 PM edit delete reply

a good comic, I have a friend that looks almost exactly like him

She got Decimus to give her permission to enact her plan. From what I remember, it was something to the effect of "show these people that even the lowest of Rome is a force to be reckoned with".
DLKmusic 10th Nov 2015, 11:32 PM edit delete reply

Specifically, she has permission to "go forth and put my plan into action, for the glory of the throne."

Whatever that plan is
Visvires 11th Nov 2015, 12:36 AM edit delete reply
Why do I get the feeling that Decimus unwittingly ordered his own removal? The throne would be much more glorious if Acantha were sitting on it.
Sheela 11th Nov 2015, 11:24 AM edit delete reply

She was indeed oredered to put her plan into action, which is a plan which in her own words is "for the glory of the throne" (see the "Status Report")
Haegan2005 10th Nov 2015, 9:53 PM edit delete reply

That, that is intimidating. I wanna see it make booms guys!
Stormwind13 10th Nov 2015, 10:09 PM edit delete reply

At that range, if Maxus makes it go boom, Noctis is GONE, Haegan. Are you sure you want that? :-)
Haegan2005 10th Nov 2015, 10:26 PM edit delete reply

I would note that Noctis has NOT dropped her weapon yet. This could go one of many ways, or even many ways of one.

I also not that at that range, maxus will have trouble reacting to really fast movements, though his gladius is well placed to get her.
Stormwind13 11th Nov 2015, 6:23 AM edit delete reply

Remember how fast Maxus is (he dodged Malati WITHOUT looking at her)... If I were Noctis, I wouldn't be in a big hurry to TEST Maxus' trigger finger for sure. Since she still has her weapon, he can't let her so much as twitch without pulling his trigger.
Haegan2005 11th Nov 2015, 10:48 AM edit delete reply

This is true, i had forgotten that!
Wolfsbane 11th Nov 2015, 12:27 PM edit delete reply

In other words, his gladius is in maximus position?
Tango Xray Actual 12th Nov 2015, 12:18 AM edit delete reply
If you have to think about a move in a fight, you're already dead.

The more you train, the more the moves do not involve the conscious mind. The book "Extreme Fear: The Science of Your Mind in Danger" actually has a pretty good layman's description of the neural systems involved.
Hornet 13th Nov 2015, 7:52 PM edit delete reply
"muscle memory" high school wrestlers use this.
The Old Scribe 10th Nov 2015, 10:20 PM edit delete reply

Whoa! That is some battle suit. It appears Noctis has assumed a diplomatic role of sorts in the struggle for control of New Roma. I also think she's concerned for her 'sister's' welfare; maybe less for Nox though.
Sheela 11th Nov 2015, 11:26 AM edit delete reply

Maybe Maxus is part of her plan?
cattservant 10th Nov 2015, 10:32 PM edit delete reply

Stormwind13 11th Nov 2015, 7:37 AM edit delete reply

I have to think Noctis came here KNOWING that she might confront Maxus. She has to have a plan, but what is it (besides not getting turned into scrap)?

As for negotiations, catt... Noctis put herself in a VERY bad bargaining position. Kneeling in front of that battlesuit with Maxus at the controls? Gah... That is a HORRIBLE position to be in, if you came for a fight.
Sheela 11th Nov 2015, 11:29 AM edit delete reply

Ah, but by putting herself in a vulnerable position, she can show she is submissive that way.

That might make negotiations easier.
Tango Xray Actual 12th Nov 2015, 12:22 AM edit delete reply
LOL, tactical maybe, but Noctis submissive??? I think not!
Sheela 12th Nov 2015, 6:04 AM edit delete reply

If it fits her plan, then she has no issues with being a bit submissive.
plymayer 10th Nov 2015, 11:07 PM edit delete reply

Decimus' only standing order is "do not eat the last piece of pumpkin pie in the refigerator or face certain death".
Stormwind13 11th Nov 2015, 7:39 AM edit delete reply

Feeds Sheela all the whipped cream, just to SPITE Douchimus. :-D
DLKmusic 11th Nov 2015, 10:24 AM edit delete reply

OH NO!!!! Sheela hyped up on too much sugar!!!!

Stormwind13 11th Nov 2015, 10:49 AM edit delete reply

MWAHAHAHAHAHA! She is most likely to target those running, DLK! Dogs like chasing things... hyper dogs most of all. :-D
Sheela 11th Nov 2015, 11:32 AM edit delete reply

*pant* *pant* *pant* - Moving targets all over the place!!!!!
Mm-m-must catch them all !! Must bite 'em all m-must .... EXTERMINATE !!!!!!!

*shoots laser out of mouth and turns many people into small piles of ash* ... Oooops!

HiFranc 12th Nov 2015, 12:47 AM edit delete reply

Obviously shares Faden's brain.
plymayer 10th Nov 2015, 11:08 PM edit delete reply

Reminiscent of the Crimson Dynamo or perhaps the Hulk-buster armor.
Stormwind13 11th Nov 2015, 7:41 AM edit delete reply

I doubt it is QUITE that impressive plymayer. Against the people and weapons of the Data Chasers universe though, I'm thinking most units wouldn't want to engage him. The casualties he could rack up would be scary.
plymayer 10th Nov 2015, 11:09 PM edit delete reply

Your visuals and designs are always impressive.
mjkj 11th Nov 2015, 1:19 AM edit delete reply

Oh, the tension....
Matt Knab 11th Nov 2015, 3:49 AM edit delete reply

Carve up this turkey, he's probably slow as dirt.
CptKerion 11th Nov 2015, 7:51 PM edit delete reply
Good power armor actually renders you faster than you normally are. Its only downside is the prohibitive cost.
Hornet 13th Nov 2015, 8:01 PM edit delete reply
Not without causing damage to the wearer. Muscles tendons and ligaments all have their own set reaction speeds. Exceeding those is bad for you.
Stever 11th Nov 2015, 6:42 AM edit delete reply

Damn, and I bet she felt a twitch coming on ;D

It would be funny to see someone in that mech gear trying to tip toe XD
lalverson 11th Nov 2015, 1:32 PM edit delete reply

Walk softly and wear a TANK! A big Cady apple red one at that (Batteries not included). Also a fitting eulogy from Noctis.
Mark_L_A 11th Nov 2015, 1:38 PM edit delete reply

Why am I thinking that Maxus as the leader of the armed forces has access to tech that not even any other troops do? and he has the capability to make sure it's true specs are not general knowledge.
KarToon12 11th Nov 2015, 3:26 PM edit delete reply

He looks like he raided Tony Stark's closet for the Hulkbuster armor. XD
CptKerion 11th Nov 2015, 7:19 PM edit delete reply

Ooooh yeah! Power armor supreme! Maxus was scary before, but now he has power armor awesomeness!

As you can tell, Kerion is fond of large, bulky, ass kicking armor.

I must now say, it is time for every ass to be kicked most thoroughly. All the asses, all the way, with all the pain, will be kicked.

Yeah, I am doing my happy dance quite literally.
This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen, I have tears of joy right now.

Maxus was already grand level badass, he has a truly badass sword, he now has even more badass armor.
The degree of badass right now is amazing.
Sheela 11th Nov 2015, 8:03 PM edit delete reply

Power armor is indeed cool.
One of my alltime personal favorites, would be this one.
CptKerion 12th Nov 2015, 11:22 AM edit delete reply
My all time favorite is the original CMC-300, it is simple, resilient, practical, and well designed.
I have some others I am very fond of too.
chk 12th Nov 2015, 9:05 AM edit delete reply

That's a hell of a 'wardrobe' alright.
