I agree Ceci is Baddest of the Bad HOWEVER she is no longer in Novs Roma she is in Aeneas City and no longer in Nova Roma. Edit note spelling will not change.
So again this will be a contest for the Baddest Badass in Nova Roma.
I agree that she needs to go down, Prof, but don't be too hasty here...
She has a solid working relationship with the redguards, which means they've worked together before and respect each other. Of the other Cassians that we've met, the only one you can really say that about is Noctis, and even then it's iffy for the rank and file soldier.
AND, she hates the Nazismurfs, so she's got that going for her too...
Interesting, chk. I get the feeling under other circumstances, Samanta and Ada would get into a long conversation of a Spiritual nature. Maybe it is just me but I'm thinking both have strong, personal beliefs (well we KNOW Ada does).
Just get the feeling that they might not always agree (after all Ada doesn't always agree with TeeDee either), but they might actually get along. Sadly, I don't think we will ever know, because either Samantha gets destroyed or Ada and TeeDee. This kind of fight, there are only two kinds of people... Losers and Survivors. There really aren't winners.
Samanta's the most spiritually-inclined of the Cassians; she's their chaplain. She and Ada could definitely have some very involved discussions on the subject of android religion. :D
Wait a minute. I thought most Cassians were currently under orders to "take cover" or some such and were not to directly engage the intruders anymore. I didn't think they could disobey orders. Or am I missing something? (There was the Cassian ordered to retrieve Acantha and Lynn, the one in a sniping position looking for the technopath, and Noctis pursuing her own 'plan'. But those are the exceptions.) I'm reminded of a few pages ago where we saw Noctis talking to her dead sister, hinting at her plan and how it might save the rest of her sisters.
You may be right about that, XSpace, but based on my comments above to ProfEtheric, These Redguards are soldiers she has worked with before, and they have a respect for each other. Probably the closest thing she has to friends... I suspect that the "MamaBear" syndrome has affected her as well.
On-screen, Noctis directed them to "defensive mode" because she didn't want them to go actively hunting the intruders. They're supposed to hold the line, occupy choke-points like this one, and keep the intrusion from penetrating deeper into the palace.
Something to ponder, though: note that Noctis, in her musing over Malati's body, only mentioned Malati and Hrist as casualties--but earlier, it was shown that there were other Cassians she wasn't able to reach via comms, suggesting that they were dead or disabled. Hmmm. ;)
Hey, I'll just say it; Samanta is kinda cool. She's defending her home rather than Prince Douchebag, per se and giving it her all like any good trooper would. She's a soldier, not an enforcer like Nox so she has different motivations. She's buds with the Redshells too. They respect her and treat her as an equal, not a 'clockwork' like the Blueshells.
Now if only she could swivel that chaingun a little more to her right.
Entirely by accident, obviously.
And she clearly warned the blueshell to duck in time (for someone as fast as Malati).

Our peeps need to put her down YESTERDAY!

I love those things. Suit of power armor, grab one, go to town.
Mwahaha.
lolol I am up in the mountains so I haven't been able to keep up much on commenting or comics... but i couldn't resist x'D

"Duck. Oh, dear, I failed to account for his poor reflexes and general stupidity."
Damn you do the sweetest FX, all of the time!
