If we're talking human social organization, I'd amend that thought Consider, as the pampered 'elites' of the 'ruler' of Nova Roma these folks actually had legitimate cause to declare they were rising to the top of the Nova Roma military. These folks aren't necessarily wrong about having 'risen to the top' if you measure that in terms of compensation and privileges.
I would disagree with their self-characterization as cream though. In many cases slime and scum rise to the top much more reliably than cream, but human scum that manages it tends to flatter itself that it is cream. It helps to remember that every speaker is an unreliable speaker: Even when a person is not intentionally lying they may be passing on falsehoods spread by others and things so misunderstood or misrepresented that they are more misleading than illuminating.
I second the 'gross' declaration. What little we know of Douchemus' sex life and fetishes is offputting enough that it would take a sincerely dedicated pervert (or potentially a political operator intent on using it for specific purposes) to want to know more about his 'cream.'
I was aiming more towards "behaving in a way consistent with being a thoroughly unpleasant and reprehensible person", but you get an imaginary point for the legit use of "santorum" in a sentence. :D
I should've double checked the relevant authority, you're right that it's lowercase "santorum" instead of capitalized.
Also, you're surprising me by intending a meaning with less swearing than my best guess at what you meant. I've probably been doing too much debugging lately.
The gaunlet has been thrown down, and the Captian has taken up. She is mentally preparing to open a major can of whupass regardless of the cost to herself.
The outlook is not so good. Main characters have plot armour and it's not a proper battle scene without casualties. Process of elimination sorts the cameos near the top of the probable casualty list. But hey, light a candle and don't give up hope yet. Rose and Cent try hard to keep this from being too predictable, so it's not foregone destruction.
Dead you may be Charis (I sure hope not, you are beautiful). If you have to go down though, make sure you are an EXPENSIVE piece of meat. Your side may win even without you if you can make them pay a high enough price for each of you.
>_> That captain needs to get shot in the balls. And some other places. This scene turned out so coo. Centy! :D I love the cameos and just ahhh. This is beautiful.
That ought to make some confusion in the enemy ranks.

Any glass of milk Deci passes by turns into.
"Go tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, that here obedient to their laws we lie."
I guess non-consensual buttlove is appropriately evocative of the tactical situation here.

@lukkai HAHAH!
*gets a new bag of popcorn from the microwave*
Don't worry, I bring chips and beer to the party. :)
Lololol oh, Charis... ye of little faith!
Sooo I'm gonna make a drink for the end of the scene to either drink in celebration of their victory...or in mourning. We shall see XD
Though I suspect they may want it slightly before that.
Just slightly.
Maybe a bad idea, in hindsight.
