Well that was JUSTICE of the oldest style for the Captain. And long overdo it was.
Petercat 2nd Mar 2016, 12:52 AM edit delete reply
Sometimes JUSTICE needs to take it's time.
He didn't suffer long enough.
Stormwind13 2nd Mar 2016, 8:39 AM edit delete reply

If there is a Hell, Canoi will be roasting in it for ALL eternity! If there isn't then there wasn't enough time left in either of their lives for him to suffer long enough, Petercat.

At least this way Captain Shapiro KNOWS that bastard isn't harming anyone else's sister. Nothing to save with the headshot (not that his demise was a loss to the world)
Greenwood Goat 2nd Mar 2016, 10:44 AM edit delete reply
In right between the eyes and out through the brainstem. He probably wouldn't have felt a thing. I feel disappointed, by Sapiro is happy... and it was her sister, after all.

In the place described in Dante's Inferno, Canoi would end up in the Outer Ring of the 7th Circle of Hell, where those who were violent against others are confined to the Phlegethon, a river of boiling, burning blood guarded by centaurs. He'd probably be treading water- er, blood in the deep end too (the river has shallower and deeper parts for those who committed lesser or greater violence - the centaurs shoot arrows into anyone who sneaks out of their proper zone). Of course, the necro-nastiness means that he would also be fitted for the Inner Ring of the 7th Circle with the violent against God and nature (usually characterised as blasphemers, sodomites and usurers), where he would be stuck in burning desert with drifting flakes of fire settling on him and burning him. Perhaps he would timeshare between the two rings, or the centaurs will get to use him for target practice during quiet periods... or drag him out and use him as a party favour when they change shifts. >:=)>
Tokyo Rose 3rd Mar 2016, 4:49 AM edit delete reply

Well, Canoi never molested any corpses. So he wouldn't need to commute between zones.

... but the idea of centaurs using him as a shift bonus is so damn delightful. >)
Sheela 3rd Mar 2016, 8:16 AM edit delete reply

lol .. "Party favours" .. that's down right mean. :D
Greenwood Goat 3rd Mar 2016, 5:39 PM edit delete reply
Ah, sorry... yes, the corpse-canoodler was Mr. Claywell. Well... maybe Canoi loaned some money to someone and then charged them interest... >:=/> ?
jamie59 1st Mar 2016, 9:05 PM edit delete reply

LOL! All that to barrow a radio. Hate to think what she'll do for a car.
Sheela 2nd Mar 2016, 12:07 AM edit delete reply

Roads ? Where she's going she don't need no roads!
Dragonrider 1st Mar 2016, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

Nice shot Captain, Oh By The Way I'm baking a revolution, may I borrow a cup of rebel radio?

Geezel Pete we dumped big time24TH????? VOTE-VOTE HAVE YOUR AUNTS AND UNCLES VOTE GET THE GOLDFISH TO VOTE HAVE THE CAT VOTE!!!!
Fairportfan 1st Mar 2016, 10:56 PM edit delete reply

At the first of the month, they flush the vote counts.
Timotheus 2nd Mar 2016, 2:45 AM edit delete reply

Every night at one AM I vote, honest.
Sheela 3rd Mar 2016, 8:17 AM edit delete reply

Votes has been punched repeatedly, since it now has Kyle in it, screen has also been punched!

Dammit, Centcomm, you made him even more babyfaced?
BUT I STILL PUNCHED HIM!!!
rfaramir 3rd Mar 2016, 2:36 PM edit delete reply
Vote 3 times a day easily: home, work, and cell phone in between.

If you go to Starbucks or MacDonalds (or other restaurant with Wi-Fi) for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, that's another IP address to vote from. Each. Day.

Oh, here's one I need to add: take a walk through the neighborhood. Use any open access points (hopefully none, ew unsafe) and any friend's wifi whose password is already on my phone (from previous visits). Each. Day.

Just 10 of us doing 5 votes per day for 30 days a month is 1500 votes. Another 20 of us doing the standard 3 a day is another 1800. Another 30 doing 2 a day is 1800 more. That would put Datachasers into the very top ranks. Half that much would be top 10 for sure, right?
HeSerpenty 1st Mar 2016, 9:49 PM edit delete reply

Aw YES that son of bastardly-bizznatch NEEDED TO DIE :'D..... SO glad he didn't even get a chance to finish his sentence!

LOL Noctis...... I'm sure she's earned the right to borrow a radio at this point XDD
Stormwind13 2nd Mar 2016, 9:05 AM edit delete reply

Yeah Serpenty, he SO deserved to die. I'm just sorry he got to START that sentence. Or pollute the world with his presence for as long as he did! He needed to have a training accident years ago. :-p
Mark_L_A 1st Mar 2016, 9:53 PM edit delete reply

The ever polite Lady Cassian Noctis.
anonymous coward 1st Mar 2016, 11:01 PM edit delete reply
Dunno about that, she was rudely silent a moment ago.
Visvires 2nd Mar 2016, 12:40 AM edit delete reply
Talking during a fight is a distraction. She was simply being professional.
Mark_L_A 2nd Mar 2016, 2:15 AM edit delete reply

I didn't say quiet, I just said polite :p
The Old Scribe 1st Mar 2016, 10:44 PM edit delete reply

Nice shot, Sapiro. That shut his yap.:D

I'm glad that scumsucking pig Canoi finally got his, but it was too easy an exit for that shitstain. Being burned alive trapped under a fallen beam or dying slowly in a hole with a sucking chest wound would have suited him better.
sigpig 2nd Mar 2016, 6:02 AM edit delete reply

While I agree with the sentiment, wouldn't that just put Sapiro on the same level as the blewbs?
velvetsanity 1st Mar 2016, 10:56 PM edit delete reply

Now, THAT is one hell of a punch line, Rose! :D
DLKmusic 1st Mar 2016, 11:01 PM edit delete reply

Awesome page! Although we didn't get to hear Cap'n Canoi's rap-sheet, the mild disappointment is more than made up for with the MOST satisfying headshot!
anonymous coward 1st Mar 2016, 11:04 PM edit delete reply
Well, at least he was armed when he died so it isn't outright murder. RIP designated acceptable target.
Just_IDD 1st Mar 2016, 11:21 PM edit delete reply
Thanks Cent & TR, That is the best birthday present anyone has given me in a long while.
Sheela 2nd Mar 2016, 12:06 AM edit delete reply

Oh, happy birfday 'n' stuff. :)
Mark_L_A 2nd Mar 2016, 2:16 AM edit delete reply

'Appy Burfday
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2016, 10:04 AM edit delete reply

Glad I could oblige ! Happy B- day!
Tokyo Rose 3rd Mar 2016, 4:50 AM edit delete reply

Happy birthday, and you are quite welcome! :D
sigpig 2nd Mar 2016, 6:05 AM edit delete reply

Centy - IMHO Panel 5 is your best work to date. Closely followed by Panel 1 on page 1364...

And TR, you made coffee go out my nose while it was still hot!!!
Stormwind13 2nd Mar 2016, 9:22 AM edit delete reply

Rose does great work doesn't she, sigpig? I imagine she puts "kill" markers next to her monitor for everyone that hurts/makes a mess because of her writing. If so, mark me down too. I was rolling around laughing at that last line! :-D

Pictures Noctis cutting her way through an army of Blueboys. Arrives at the rebels completely unruffled, "Pardon me but would you have a cup of sugar I could borrow? I'm baking a cake and realized I had run out..." :-D
Tokyo Rose 3rd Mar 2016, 4:52 AM edit delete reply

I should totally have a tally sheet with little noses on it...
Sheela 3rd Mar 2016, 8:19 AM edit delete reply

Have some small nose stickers, and put one up on the border of your monitor everytime someone snorts cofffee ?
rfaramir 3rd Mar 2016, 2:39 PM edit delete reply
"Pardon me, but would you happen to have any Grey Poupon?"

"Oh, but of course!"

Nah, she's polite in the midst of war, but not like that!
Cal 2nd Mar 2016, 8:37 AM edit delete reply
Noctis -"Queen of Swords"

Welp, now you've done it, CC & Rose. Now I'll be looking for the Datachasers Tarot deck, and never finding it, shall die in however many years from now and haunt the land, forever seeking, never finding...
Centcomm 2nd Mar 2016, 10:06 AM edit delete reply

Actually I was tempted to make that. :D Ive started on the Major Arcana and Yes Noctis is the Queen of Swords.
Cal 2nd Mar 2016, 4:46 PM edit delete reply
Well, then, I guess I better get hired for a new job fairly soon if I'm going to be able to support such an effort. :)
Gilrandir 2nd Mar 2016, 4:52 PM edit delete reply
Really? I would have figured Nox for Queen of Swords. Noctis seems much more like the Queen of Cups to me. Or Wands, if you ignore the physical descriptions.
DLKmusic 2nd Mar 2016, 9:14 PM edit delete reply

Really? I would have figured Nox as Death

.... and in her present state, inverted!
Gilrandir 3rd Mar 2016, 4:46 AM edit delete reply
Death represents change, not destruction. I'm not sure who a good DataChasers character would be for that.

Also, Cassians in general are probably better as court cards than major arcana. They are, after all, support characters.

But we could definitely use a Murderturd for the Tower. ^_^
Sheela 3rd Mar 2016, 8:20 AM edit delete reply

Oh that's cold, Gilrandir, the Murderturd wanted to eat that, y'know ?
Gilrandir 2nd Mar 2016, 9:15 AM edit delete reply
Please note: I didn't say she wouldn't let the _rebels_ kill them. Assuming the rebels are clever and polite enough to wait until she leaves, of course. ^_^
chk 2nd Mar 2016, 10:15 AM edit delete reply

. . . and a cup of sugar.
Matt Knab 2nd Mar 2016, 3:21 PM edit delete reply

You know what...fair trade!
KarToon12 2nd Mar 2016, 3:55 PM edit delete reply

What if she wants to borrow money? XD
Sevian 2nd Mar 2016, 4:10 PM edit delete reply

I think they should let her use the radio.
Sheela 3rd Mar 2016, 8:21 AM edit delete reply

Ya think ? :D
Nef 2nd Mar 2016, 4:21 PM edit delete reply

\
I love how you allow "actors" from other series to have cameos on yours :) I've done that a bit too.
/
Tokyo Rose 3rd Mar 2016, 4:54 AM edit delete reply

I think the way Cent pitched the idea was basically just putting up a post on the forum saying "Hey, who wants to let us kill off a character in a cameo?" and people were inexplicably eager to volunteer. :D (The concept of Damnatio Memoriae as using holo-masks and taking on the faces and personae--to some degree--of characters from "bygone media" was entirely my idea. I'm kinda proud of it.)
Sheela 3rd Mar 2016, 8:25 AM edit delete reply

The masks was a good idea, it totally makes sense too.

I would have been Lady, from Lady and the Vagabond.
*gasp* Noone would know who I was!! I'm a geeeenius! :D
Nef 3rd Mar 2016, 4:09 PM edit delete reply

Good idea then. What I do is that I treat other comics as movies and the "actors" are seen sometimes in public in my town which is, of course, REAL ;)
I should do more of it.
mjkj 3rd Mar 2016, 4:59 AM edit delete reply

Oh, she just wanted to borrow the radio - nice... =P

...and bold to confess to her that...
notStanley 3rd Mar 2016, 1:07 PM edit delete reply
Finally, someone is polite to our long suffering Noctis. Captain Sapiro using a title, instead of some trashy gutter insult, and saying "thank you". The Captains mother would be proud of her manners.
Wolfsbane 3rd Mar 2016, 3:44 PM edit delete reply

I was thinking the same thing. They deserve as much respect as any other sentient being, even if it *is* Nova Roma.

And it's amazing how much more cooperation you get when you are polite and remember your manners. Especially when you're in the presence of someone who really knows how to 'skadoosh'.
Lukkai 3rd Mar 2016, 7:01 PM edit delete reply

It's something we've seen from the Reds in general. Comrade in Arms, respected Agent of the Realm... they generally seem to have a very decent view of the Cassians and good manners.
Dragonrider 3rd Mar 2016, 1:59 PM edit delete reply

The new Tarot Card is most apt.
Stormwind13 3rd Mar 2016, 2:53 PM edit delete reply

The new vote incentive Tarot is quite appropriate for the subject depicted. New beginnings ('dying' and being brought back is a new beginning of sorts :-D). I imagine CentComm ENJOYED labeling that card the way she did though. :-D
Lukkai 3rd Mar 2016, 7:33 PM edit delete reply

Wait until there are no cronies left that could stop you. Then charge him as if you wanted to get into close combat. Probably knowing full well that he's absolutely certain that he will win it with ease and be able to use you as he wants along the way.
Then stop as soon as he's nicely exposed and you've got a clear line of fire and just shoot him.

Reckless as it may seem, that actually was quite smart. Not on purpose to some part, I think. But still.
Lukkai 3rd Mar 2016, 7:43 PM edit delete reply

Forgot to mention: Let's hope that Kat did not just erm.. "take out" the radio. The list seems to not have gone over well with her stomach.
(Hint to Denzic: Help her now without being pushy and you'll definitely score some points in the 'pro' column for when you ask her out after all this is settled.)
m4ch43r 3rd Mar 2016, 8:38 PM edit delete reply

K-TOW!!!!! Funny, that's how some of my migraines hit me, too! LOL
Speedy Marsh 31st Mar 2017, 9:45 PM edit delete reply
I'm so happy for Canoi. It seems he found that his path to enlightenment is open-mindedness. (or vice versa)
