Well the Nevarro is the " starter " ship many learn on its very forgiving and armored like a brick Lot of traders use it because its custom ECM package and shields and armor let it just simply ignore most damage. Or just be hard to target.
Republic F105 Thunderchief and Piper Cubs not real planes? Check Wikipdia and Air War history for Vietnam the Thud was our original main battle aircraft. Avery forgiving aiir raft if you teared her well.
That saying has been around for quite a while. It was popular in the Army Air Corps in WW2, according to my father who served in the corps as a flight controller. Who knows how long that saying was in use before that?
But I have already said that I'm willing to barter for my life with steak and shoes. I should be fine.
After all, once I've handed over the shoes, it isn't as if @Sheela would be completely sole-less. ^_^ And, if I pass over a venison steak, @Sheela won't be completely hart-less, so I think my odds will be good.^_^
Yes indeedy, Astraea is indeed badass. I also like the design of her Battle Pod in Panel 1. With that haircut and green skin, she reminds me a tad of the space women in the strip 'Too Much Information', but without the large eyes and antennas. :D
Also, is TeeDee expressing the slightest amount of . . . doubt?
I don't know, but I think Noctis has her respect . . . or dislike.
Anyway, Noctis get a move on!
I think what really gets to TeeDee here is that she is all about size; how she could do more if she just had a larger chassis... And here she gets clobbered by someone just as diminutive.
antrik, I don't think TeeDee has anything to worry about, and here's why I think that.
Noctis has a lot of custom modifications. Centcomm said she has blades under her fingernails, and I don't know what else. TeeDee doesn't have those that I'm aware of, but I think she does have a combat chassis (I could be wrong). So I think what it boils down to, is that if Noctis couldn't use her extra enhancements, TeeDee would probably kick her ass. If she could use them, Noctis would probably win. That is just a guess on my part, though.
That's only part of it, Megados, at least IMHO. Teedee had let her guard down, Noctis never did. If Teedee had been standing out of reach where she could have brought her firearm into play if needed, this scenario would have played out a lot differently, enhancements or not.
TeeDee has a Kick-ass frame, but Noctis has experience.
True, dat. If TeeDee would have shot Noctis, (and I do think she would have had to shoot her; Noctis is very fast), it would have played out differently. But then I have to wonder how the rest would would have played out without Noctis to get Asraea to stand down.

But the point was, that TeeDee has nothing to worry about, because in a fair contest, no weapons, no mods, TeeDee would win it, 'cuz she's (*looks around for Sheela*) "sturdy" . . . she's got a zillion HP and high DEF, and STR, and she's also pretty fast. Without Noctis' blades she loses a lot of ATK, but she has an edge on SPD, and INT. (I think) At least that's how I interpret it.
It's close enough that I think maybe LCK will be a big factor. Either way, I think what I'd rather see though, would be TeeDee and Noctis side by side. I wouldn't want to be anything, or anyone in the way!
Well Lynn was flying pretty well until she got kidnapped. So as long as they don't get attacked or anything, she should be just fine. (Up goes red flag.)
The "tech expert" only came to New Troy due to act act of war BY New Troy, and would likely only return under similar circumstances, anyway - it seems extremely doubtful she'd return there under any other circumstance, even without said threat.
That seems to be the prevailing opinion. Marcus said "you couldn't give me this place". I can't blame them; they weren't given a very positive impression. ;-)
(ahem. glad those weren't real planes...)
When i first came to the page your post had not appeared yet so my apologies if you thought I was responding to you.
the movie Blackhole quote : There are old pilots. there are bold pilots. but there are no old bold pilots.
She's going to have to work hard to top that one.

You're all dipping your toes in the waters of punning, and I have oh-so-many teeth! >:)
"Sharks have incredibly sensitive senses of smell. How does it smell?"
"Terrible." ^_^
Re: Alt text, Yes. Yes she does.
Lynn's got this! (She looks good in Ceci's jacket) <melancholy feeling>
"There are some flight instructors where the student is important, and there are some instructors where the instructor is important. Pick carefully."
I infer, however, that you mean 'an android who isn't Dolly'.
Yeah, sure TeeDee, she really got you...
Hmmm, Lynn, famous last words? ;)
@alt text: indeed, even from a non-biased perspective. =D
I'll let you do the math from there...

Experience does matter.
I mean, Sorry Lynn, the story's not over.
It ain't over till the two ladies sing.
If anybody asks Dr. Silver, she'd probably say "Who would want to voluntarily visit this rathole anyway?" but nobody's asking her. :D
