I'm sorry to say that for me this Tron sequence is actually the low point of the story... The basic idea of visualising the process if fine I guess; but the specifics of the avatar, the dialogues etc. feel kinda silly to me.
Admittedly I'm spoiled by the exceptional quality of the newer story parts, and this old stuff is generally not quite up to the present standard -- so I'm very curious how this will turn out after the reboot :-)
The first time through reading this I thought it was pretty good. Obviously, the story telling kept us engaged enough to get caught up to date and the go back for a second run between the latest updates.
Granted the story telling and graphics quality gets better over time, but that's what ten more years of story telling and graphics experience will do.
That said, even these old updates are of better story telling and graphics quality than almost any other 3D digital graphics comic I've come across.
