LMAO: Alt text! Happily, for a change, I wasn't sipping a beverage! (Too bad about the ribs, though) :D
I love how Ophelia and Chawley (Charlie?) get along! They do seem to have each other's backs.
Re: A/N, Centcomm, I'm sorry to hear that. :( I hope along with you that you feel better! (Thanks for letting us know) Take care of yourself! Rose, make sure Cent takes care of herself! :D
Does that make Ophelia one of Charlie's angels ? :D
On a sidenote, don't underestimate a gutfeeling like the one Charlie's having.
The human gut has a whole lot more neurons than you'd expect, it is seriously interesting.
So ... if we know that the more we know, we also know how little we know and know how much more we could know - We start of by knowing nothing and while knowing is half the battle, we must then know that the other half of the battle requires very little knowing, and since we know that we know very little and the sum of knowledge must then be much waster than when we know much, the greater sum of knowing must by the very definition lie in the first half of the battle, which makes us entirely ignorant of the second part of the battle. And that once battle commences, no matter how much we thought we knew about the knowledge of the situation, and any knowledge we may have compiled about said scenario, goes right out the door with the saying .. "This is some bullshit, y'know ?", to which the reply will often knowingly and empathically be, "I know man, I know"

Man, I'm the bestest doggy at this, they should totally hire me as a military advisor ! :D
Just imagine it - A megalomanic .. completely normal doggy with her paw on the red button and access to a red phone with which she could call and troll .. erh .. talk rationally with Putin and Trump !
You know, I don’t know how much there is to know, so I don’t know how much there is left to know, even if I know how much I know. Even if I knew how much there is to know right now, I still don't know because there is always something new to know that I don't know about. Making it even more difficult, is the stuff I think I know that is wrong, showing that I don't know. I don't know how many things I know that I really don't know.
Bill Nye says that everyone you will ever meet knows something you do not know. It is true, because even if they don't know much, they know what it’s like not to know. Maybe if they don't know that they don't know, then they don't know, but otherwise they know, you know?
I summary, and in conclusion, I can't say how much I know or don't know, because I don’t know. One thing I do know, (or think I know), is that it’s probably Sheela’s fault. :D
Even if there is some distance between a Cassian and the grunts at first, a firefight with the Cassian covering everyones back, spotting for injuries, etc., will rapidly forge a small unit cohesion of great strength. Also that the grunts knew that the Cassians were clearly in a bind, fully realising that Decimus was BAD-NEWS, but bound by programming, as they were by oaths. A shared predicament. Stuck out in the wastes, with only themselves for mutual support, I don't wonder that the unit pride was strong. By the by, some pages back, Samanta, another Cassian, showed similar feelings with some of the redsuited soldiers, and similar loathing of the bluesuited toadies fanatically loyal to Decimus.
As a further aside I have read of similar unit cohesions going as far back as written records exist - Afganistan, Falklands, 'Nam, WW2, WW1, etc etc etc...
On the right, it looks like skeletal remains (victim?); the left it looks like someone in armor and blood. There's a blood spatter center bottom, and it looks like there is some explosive damage. All in all, inconclusive.
This little gutter got his head blown off
This little gutter should have stayed home
This little gutter got gutted
And so did this one...
And trhat one over there too...
I commend Charlie's cautious approach, he's a good complement to Ophelia's cheerful fury. Whatever irregularity did for all those Gutters could still be around and willing to add a few Praetorians and a Cassian to the bag. Or at least try.
I'm right there with you, @wright1. I mentioned it last page, it's almost as if they're (gasp) friends! He's not treating her like an intelligent machine, he's treating her like a fellow soldier.
For a Roman, that's extraordinary, to say the least!

You're right; that IS interesting. It also reminds me how many things I know little to nothing about. :D

Bad fucking day for a barbeque mate !
However, the day just brightened for Ophelia - Dead Gutters always cheers her right up. :)
(*hides from flying utensils*)
Just them being dead is probably kinda nice... but getting to MAKE them be dead, I would expect THAT is what would cheer her up.
...and I hope you will feel better soon, Cent *hugs*

"Don't Fuss Chawlie" ranks right up there with "What could possibly go wrong?"
"Don't worry, I can fix this!"
"it's ok, I have a plan!"
"What are you, scared of your own shadow?"
The list goes on and on and on....
People are not nearly enough scared of shadows !
