Re: alt text, I wouldn't doubt it, but if not, maybe their current counterparts, Drew Carey (of whom I'm not much of a fan) and Wayne Brady, (of whom I'm more of one). The shows are long enough running that I could envision some surviving information, and possibly fandom. For all I know, they could still be on!
Seeing the third panel in context, I have to laugh at the guesses we made when it was shown as a WIP.
So if the robot can't be Bob or Monty, he just provides background legal copy? :D
3 out of 4 of the primary areas are in Canada and you missed this one ? I'll spare the audience the gory details and just post the theme... It should get your mojo working ;)
Although I have a certain curiosity about stories told of people who didn't read the instructions on the LunaBot. I know it has to do with the occasionally crazy stuff we saw on the ambulance or heard from talking to ER Nurses. I can only guess what the manufacturer's customer support line is like on that, and that the call would have to be placed through lunacom.

And if you have to ask for the price, you really, really can't afford it. MUCH more expensive than Harrod's (London). Mind you, they had a good stock of Prestige copper bottomed saucepans 40 years ago when I needed one - too long a story...
It involves a failed chicken soup recipe, distractions, and a really burnt out saucepan that defied a power driven metal brush. I was in the dog house for a while...
Loving this guy already. Voicing over the legalese in the gaps in the girl's speech? has me laughing in tears. For some reason Bob Barker as a robot does seem a little creepy too lol.

Have we met this "buddy" of hers before? I have to wonder if the reason 'Bot Buddy has such a wild sense of humor is because he's been around for awhile...and we know who that might be...from Luna. ;)
I really like the bot guy and the alt text is hilarious. As for "didn't read the instructions' stories, ask a guy that works offshore oil rigs. (Not recommended for the squeamish)
I've read two other webcomics where the shadow of a person not being in true charge, due to an outside imfluence, was raised. In one, to comedic effect, and dropped very quickly, (the interviewee turned the tables on the dummy, and pressed him for critical intel.) In the other, just the risk of it caused such a problem that one of the heroes removed himself from the location, after throwing a tantrum and breaking things over having supposedly made his lover do something that was abhorrent to her, (lie, but he was in error on that one.)
I can only think that the mere suspicion that a communications implant, in Acantha's head, might be used to use her as a mouthpiece for something else, likely a foreigner, AI, or worse, both, would have very devastating consequences to the stability of New Rome.
Imperatrices of Nova Roma do not have communications implants. They have people to have communications implants for them. (Usually Cassians.) And, if there are to be any non-emergency implantings to be done, Archpriest Setorius will be the one doing it.
(All of the above, of course, are strictly my opinion. Consult the creatrices in your area for your specific webcomic. Your mileage may vary.)
I think we can trust Noctis (& Athena) to put a gentle but absolutely firm brake on the wilder notions being floated. Lynn is also fairly sensible at the core, so a polite demur and a direction to a comms store and then a clothing emporium will probably be the next set of frames - and I am well looking forward to them!!
I am also a bit surprised, if this is Lynn's home shopping area, that Miranda didn't recognise Lynn. Of course if Lynn is doing a splash out to a more upmarket area than usual, that explains it.
I wonder if they still have flea markets, stalls, etc in New Troy. I suspect they still do in Nova Roma.
disclaimer bot is funny
Also I'm somewhat reminded of some flavor text I read once "Oh no sir, nothing is impossible. What you want is merely.. expensive"

so you can f*ck off, get f*cked and chat about f*ckall at the same time
the miracles of futuristic technology....
Props to her to keep up a cheerful attitude after saying that entire speech for, what I'm assuming, is the hundredth time.
No nothing could go wrong there!
I have to wonder what kind of hacking/cracking exploits could be opened up >_>
