I didn't expect Cent to send Cella. It makes sense, though, by Cent's logic.
It's up to Acantha, I suppose, whether Noctis plays dress-up. It might be a fair indicator of how much she respects Noctis, because Noctis' answer is just about what I thought it would be.
We met her when the wastelander went to New Troy to deliver a message.

Also, we met her before that. I found this trying to zero in on the time I did remember.

humm.. could be interesting.. cuz a shop here would high end discrete(looks over function) VS Teedee 's high end firepower(function over looks).. IE: Pinky's (Centt) force belt,, but here it looks like a regular belt or sash, that can take one or two hits, unlike pinky's that prolly take ten hits...
Noctis might be persuaded to change clothes, but I doubt it would extend to anything that would limit her ability to move in any way. Speed and agility are her forte, so anything that gets in the way of that is going to be a "no." As a bodyguard, she probably doesn't want to stand out, so more likely something plainer looking.
Sorry Megados, but Noctis already stands out, and no amount of inoccuous clothing will change that.
You might catch her interest in an accessory or two, provided, as you mentioned, they won't hamper her speed or mobility in any way, and she can see a potential use for it.
Well, one could say Noctis is outstanding in her field! (Hope it doesn't rain) >_< . . . . :D
Seriously though, I don't know. To be honest, I don't think Noctis really cares about looks, but I never really thought she'd want anything flashy. As long as it wouldn't interfere with her own sense of efficiency, or impede her ability, she might be persuaded. There could be room for reasonable compromise.
I could see Lynn whispering in Acantha’s ear, Acantha’s getting a mischievous grin, and then while they’re heading to the next store on the itinerary, Acantha casually pointing across the hallway at an armor or bodyguard supply shop and saying “are you sure you don’t want to play dress up, Noctis?”
(Sabre-tooth) rats! I forgot about Cella!!!
Given she is also one of the very few people in on the planning of the Lynn rescue effort, she is sort of cleared at a security level, not just admin.
Mind you, I look forward to the proton-proton collision with Noctis - two persona of the same type in close proximity - will it spawn strange particles (almost meant literally...!!). Or will they exchange cryptic, guarded compliments/comments as each seeks to garner info about the situation...
Actually the armor shop would be the place to bump into Teedee (in her new chassis), if Teedee could frequent platinum level shops. (More likely low dives in the trader quarter).
Athena is awesome! Knows everybody!
Don't forget, TeeDee just earned a rather substantial bonus and probably didn't spend all of it on upgrades to her new chassis...she also doesn't seem to be the type to pass up immediately spending whatever's left on things she can't normally afford, being dead or close to it will do that to you. I could easily see her in a high end store, provided it had the best quality version of what she was looking for.
Fun is over-rated. Whenever someone says, "Hey, lets do this", and you ask, "Why?", if they say "It will be fun!" it means they can't think of a good reason either.
"So a Nova Roma imperial bodyguard and a New Troy high ranking 'administrator' walk into a bar..."
It you go by her cast page entry, shopping is one of Cella's two named favorite past times (the other is history), so it will be quite amusing to watch her and Noctis interact, especially if Acantha keeps pushing for her to go shopping. :D
I think Noctis' clothes are great. I think it says something that she's comfortable explaining how she'd feel it they commanded her: like a doll. Depersonalized.
I don't think Acantha is acting on just a whim. I think she sees Noctis's looks as a reminder of the pain and suffering in her past. She is trying to make a break from her past and Noctis is not getting it. Though I wouldn't think sympathy and comforting would be high on her skill set.
Oddly enough, I see Noctis's current look to be dehumanizing and "Doll" like, where as adopting less "Scary" look would individualize her, and move her away from the "Just be a useful tool" status.
No one "needs" to be forced to dress up like a doll for other people. I'm not sure what you think Noctis would get out of it, but she'd just end up miserable and resentful.
At some point Acantha is going to need to decree an end to the inhibitors. They are an impediment to true loyalty from the Cassian and especially Noctis.
The inhibitors enforce a slave slave master relationship. No matter how benevolent the slave master is the slave is still a slave and it is a corrosive relationship.
She could just as easily decree that no new Cassians will be fabricated. If you are asserting that weaponized entities are too dangerous without extraordinary means of control, and you consider those means of control unethical, you should probably not make any more of them while you figure things out.
Hypothetically, there are probably androids out there that would argue that 'Asimovian Protocols' are actually an important part of protecting and preserving the human race, even if it comes at a cost to androids. After all, that is why they were developed in the first place: to run risks and face dangers so that humans would not have to.
Even if she did decree that no new Cassians would be created, there are other androids within Nova Roma, and they, too, are required to have internal or collar type inhibitors, so she would still have to decree the end of inhibitors as well.
Both Azimovian Protocols, and control by inhibitor arguably come at some cost to the androids. Any type of asserted control would do the same by varying degrees.
Acantha needs to be more creative. The order isnt "lets play dress up". the order is, "I want you to improve your social integration levels, starting with attire that blends in more with present culture. Selected by you".
Yes she needs to be more creative with how she convinces Noctis that a new wardrobe is a good idea. At the same time she has to accept that Noctis isn't going to give up function just to "blend in".
Then again we would help Cent and Rose fund a new wardrobe for Noctis.
Take Noctis to the best private security outfitter, and make a deal with her. For every non-ninja-assassin looking bodyguard outfit that Noctis tries on, Acantha will try on a bulletproof, stabproof dress, or let Noctis teach her a low impact self defense move that won't burst her mechanical heart. That way, they'd both get what they want, and Acantha wouldn't need to order Noctis.
Would we get to see more nudity content scene/moments again soon in future scene/page?
(like how it is in page 647 or other scenes ? , cus it feels like its been long :). Not Saying “ there should be too much “ : ) )
Although I can personally take or leave most of the nudity that has been displayed so far (there are a couple of scenes that are notible exceptions, like when Dolly first saw her new frame in the tank), with that being said, Patreon subscribers have been getting quite a bit of fan service over the years.
Patreon is a great tool to help support the artists, and The Evil Duo in particular do a good job making it worth your while!
(sorry for late reply)
Umm ,your not understanding this,.
Im want to make sure that,
is the nudity is censored ?or like we wont get to see it anymore in future ? thats what i meant.
Any chance Acantha would deactivate the inhibitors on her cassions and actually allow them to serve? They seem dead set on it, and the inhibitors don't seem to be a primary factor in that based on Noctis' comments...
Legally, I question whether she could, for two reasons:
1) She has not yet reached the age of majority; Maxus will serve as Lord Regent until then (if his ascendency was ratified by the Senate)
2) I believe it is law in Nova Roma that all androids must have inhibitors. Such a change in the law would have ramifications throughout the entire population, so it would probably require some sort of Senate action.
What she could do is:
1) Treat Noctis and the other Cassian's as sentient individuals with the same respect she would any human;
2) Reframe from using the inhibitors personally; and
3) Actively work through Nova Roma's political system to eliminate inhibitors from Nova Roma.
She can use her experience in New Troy to support such law changes and New Troy's laws as a model to help draft changes to Nova Roma's laws.
Noctis is certainly an individual who is methodical and likes order. She would appreciate working to change laws in a durable way through Nova Roma's political system. As opposed to whimsical imperial dictates that are wholly dependent upon the the dictator de jour. What one dictator decrease can easily be reversed by the next.
I think we're on the same page. We are about to find out how she decides to treat Noctis, now that she has explained her feelings. Acantha herself has been mistreated in the past, so I think that will go a long way to inform her decision. I doubt she would go so far as to cause inhibitor pain on Noctis, especially for such a trivial matter. People in general deserve better, and I think she knows that. Doing the right thing here would go a long way in earning Noctis' trust, I would think.
*edit Also, Acantha knows Noctis the Cassian, but now she has more of an opportunity to get to know Noctis the person.
Inhibitors enforce a form of slavery, and in New Rome there are also human slaves. If she works toward the elimination of one, she would likely work toward the elimination of the other as well. If she does try to enlist help from Noctis, it will be interesting to see her reaction. Acantha has to remember the old adage 'Rome wasn't built in a day', lest she get a lot of backlash for her efforts.
Acantha could essentially do it herself by issuing an order to Noctis: "You are hereby ordered to think for yourself and take instructions from me, or anyone else as guidance only from now on."
NO.. that would be a .. NO.. by New Rome law if a cassian's internal inhibitor disabled it is destroyed ..(i think).. cuz cassian's don't fir in normal roman law,, exempt..
they have to have control over the assassin bots.. if cassian's are to stay assassin bots then they have to have 'exempt' control..
There are different levels of 'control'. There should still be a firm failsafe but the level there currently is permitted doucheboy to run roughshod over the people so perhaps something a little less demanding ? I could see a slight loosening of the inhibitors for certain aspects while still retaining a hard "thou shalt not muck about with what is good and purposeful" cutoff...but if that was written as "no interference with the ruler's commands under any circumstances" as it is now, they'd be right back to where they were if a subsequent ruler was determined to beat the asshattery level previously set.
@megados: we posted at same time.. an what you said is fine,, you are not disabling , you are reprogramming .. Noctis did that herself,,
no, what i was talking bout , was the 'disabling', removing, or turn off. of the inhibitor.!!

Judging from your comment we should be supposed to know her, but right now I can't remember.
Found her on the cast page.

Meanwhile, Noctis get to be The Black Goat .. I wonder what that will do to diplomatic relations ?
