Perfect Gossip Monger!

I applaud the effort.

Cella really has patience... still be so calm and collected after that interrogation...

I hope all is well with both of you, Cent and Rose (+ family of course...).
Centcomm 9th Dec 2020, 7:56 AM edit delete reply

thanks MJkj!
HiFranc 9th Dec 2020, 4:53 AM edit delete reply

Did Cella spend the weekend with Logrin?
Centcomm 9th Dec 2020, 7:56 AM edit delete reply

Nope not Logrin.
Sheela 9th Dec 2020, 10:17 AM edit delete reply

Could it be a certain mech-tech ?
Could it be Mira ?

megados 9th Dec 2020, 10:57 AM edit delete reply

Could it be Breaker?
Guest 9th Dec 2020, 12:40 PM edit delete reply
Beaker? I don't see him being assertive enough to chase after a woman. OTOH, he would be instantly taking if someone went after _him_...
HiFranc 9th Dec 2020, 8:10 PM edit delete reply

He is assertive enough. It was just because Dolly was drunk and armed that he was being cautious.

I don’t think it’s him, however, because I suspect that Cella spent time with someone who knows about the things that Ophelia is coming to them about.
HiFranc 14th Dec 2020, 8:28 PM edit delete reply

Given what Logrin said in the first panel of Next Moves, Breaker is a possibility.
HiFranc 9th Dec 2020, 11:09 AM edit delete reply

Could be Skyla but there’s another possibility:

Maybe it’s 3C’s humour to let Illyana think that it was a romantic meeting when Cella’s been appointed to look after Cyanna? I’m betting that’s it either Skyla or Cyanna.
DLKmusic 12th Dec 2020, 9:09 AM edit delete reply

It's Skeeter. Cella's got a thing on the side with Skeeter, and why not? Everyone loves Skeeter!
Gilrandir 12th Dec 2020, 10:43 PM edit delete reply
I agree that it is unlikely to be a ‘him’. However, my guess would be Mira Anhur. I feel like she would have impressed Cella and intrigued her.
DLKmusic 14th Dec 2020, 5:43 PM edit delete reply

My guess, for what it's worth, is that Cella is crafted from the same Anti-fun particles as Noctis, and her trip to the wastes was strictly business, and classified.
HiFranc 14th Dec 2020, 7:27 PM edit delete reply

That’s my reading as well. I can’t help but think that it was:

a) official business
b) about people going offline when they shouldn’t have

Talking about Cella and fun:

Exchange Of Information

Good job staying on task, Cella. Illyana isn't really very subtle in her questioning is she? It gets to the point of being almost catty.

Great new character intro! :D
Centcomm 9th Dec 2020, 7:55 AM edit delete reply

thankys - Illyana actually comes from the Datachasers table top game i ran several years back.
megados 12th Dec 2020, 6:53 AM edit delete reply

Hmm I thought I answered. Oh well, I meant to say that it's very cool. I remember you having talked about that game. It sounded fun! (Sorry I didn't answer before now)

How's Cyberpunk going?
Just_IDD 9th Dec 2020, 9:23 AM edit delete reply
Subtle like a brick being dropped on your foot. If I thought it would do any good, I'd aim higher, like at her head. (Really dislike gossips)
Sheela 9th Dec 2020, 9:40 AM edit delete reply

Bricks can be subtle !
Centcomm 9th Dec 2020, 10:41 AM edit delete reply

this is true..

I think about half of our wildest conspiracy theories got started when somebody annoyed at a gossip told them something outrageous, just out of sarcasm.

Like the krezy dutch lady who started the Qanon business. Does she actually believe it? Or did she just look at the forum's already-rampant conspiracy theories and say, "just to show them how crazy they're getting I'll dial it up to ELEVEN!"

But hey, they took it and ran with it.

Deoxy 9th Dec 2020, 3:34 PM edit delete reply
I haven't followed any of the Qanon stuff other than a very few bits when it first started, but 2 points:

1) usually (but not always), when something is THAT important to insult and make fun of that it doesn't matter what it is, it just has to be horrible, it contains more truth than the "powers that be" are comfortable with people knowing

2) the very few bits that I did hear about back when it started had several plausible pieces (though not *together* as plausible).

Therefore, I conclude that there is likely far more truth to the original allegations than ever seemed likely, people have intentionally tried to exaggerate it ridiculously, and still not succeeded enough for some portion of the "powers that be" to be comfortable with it, so much effort into mocking it at every instance is demanded.

Again, I haven't followed it, AT ALL, so I don't even know what all is in it anymore, and the above is one of those "this is the way to bet, but there are certainly exceptions" kind of things. Just funny, that's all. I might actually go look it up now, just out of curiosity.
megados 9th Dec 2020, 6:59 PM edit delete reply

I had heard of it, but I didn't really pay a lot of attention to it either, so I did look it up. It really skews political in some ways, so I'm not really going to say much. There's a Wikipedia page about it, and I'm not going to link to it for the same reason.

I guiltily admit, spreading conspiracy theories is fun. My favorite is that those bar codes on the back of stop signs are a secret code that gives govt agents the directions to your house. It's my main use for Facebook. :)
Guest 9th Dec 2020, 12:42 PM edit delete reply
Given that there is NOTHING to stop someone from putting up a code that directs to a scammer's website, I'll promote and & all conspiracy theories against them...
Uncle Rat 9th Dec 2020, 1:44 PM edit delete reply

I am both hopeful and scared. I truly hope it is good. As someone that played 2020 back in the early days when it was out, I can only wait and see chummer.
DLKmusic 10th Dec 2020, 3:07 PM edit delete reply

all this talk about how evil gossips are, and all I can think of is that Celia changed out of the PVC armor and into something more normal (and attractive).

It's that kind of thinking that would earn me the Darwin award in the DC universe!
robnot 11th Dec 2020, 8:29 AM edit delete reply
it looks the PVC was put on the FNG..

Can I get a refund on 2020? I mean - seriously, this year had a bad quality-control problem and as a consumer I feel like I ought to have that year of my life as a do-over.

Last time I got down on my knees and prayed, it was to file a bug report. I'd hate to have to pray again, but I really need to take this up with the management.
megados 11th Dec 2020, 6:19 PM edit delete reply

The "J" fell down, and it's fitting for 2020!
