You're welcome. ^.^
But you're going to get an indignant "chreep" from Yugasa for calling her a chicken. She's a dignified phoenix; she's got more class than some barnyard dawnscreecher. *Laughs*
For the record, that's just a myth. Much like the idea that wolves howl at the moon, roosters do *not* crow at the break of dawn.
They get their reputation from being a diurnal noisemaker. Basically, they crow from dawn to dusk. It's just, *one* of those wakes the farmer and is thus memorable. The rest are just... will that damned bird ever shut up?
(The answer is "Absolutely. Roosters don't live that long, especially on a farm that's really probably only big enough for one adult rooster." My experience comes from living on a farm back in the day with free-range chickens. None of the roosters lived long enough to find out if they ever mellowed with age.)
Having been woken consistently at an hour I didn't really want to be woken at by a rooster's crowing while billeted in a small village in Germany, to the point that several of us were very seriously contemplating a pre-dawn excursion and later on, a satisfying chicken dinner, I'll have to respectfully disagree.
"Inside every myth lies a grain of truth"
Having lived on a farm with roosters and later by train tracks, I feel between megados and Oldarmourer, you basically seem to have an understanding of the whole rooster thing.
They crow all day long, and one quickly learns to not really pay attention to it, so long as it sounds more or less normal.
However, the rooster's crow is of a very distinctly different quality, such that one really needs to be utterly exhausted to be able to sleep through a rooster's crow.
The train noises, on the other hand, become soothing after a while. Even the train whistle eventually becomes something one can sleep through, although my high school classmates who lived right at a railroad crossing related that it took several years to get to that point.
Maybe it's possible to get used to the rooster crowing in the morning, but I didn't after about 6 years of it, and I've known a number of old farmers who related that they hadn't after 50-60 years.
We have chickens here, and a rooster. My experience seems to differ. I really don't notice him, unless he sneaks up behind me and let's loose. Then I notice it. :D
Well, for what it's worth, Yugasa's right about roosters not having class. They're certainly barnyard fowls, and all of the chickens I've gotten to know were also barnyard fouls.
I mean, I've cleaned a chicken. It took it about 5 seconds to get dirty again, to such an extent that the next chicken I managed to grab to subject to the cleaning process was the first one, and it was so dirty I couldn't distinguish it from the others until I had a hold of it and got to get a good look at its features. (Yeah, all chickens look alike, just like all white people look alike. Once you get to know them, you start being able to distinguish them. But a chicken in motion can be difficult to distinguish from their siblings.)
"That's some high-calibre cannons" and some high calibre guest artwork too..
Hope everything's alright on the main Artist front, these filler pieces, as nice as they are, always make me a little uneasy.
I'm sure we'll get news when it's available to give us
That doesn't make me feel any uneasier though
It's been that kind of week, I just hope it isn't rubbing off on anyone else
*laughs* She's had that all along. It's kinda part of her being Maddy. I'm sure Tokyo Rose will say more if she's so inclined. It's a tattoo, not a monocle or anything like that.
Years ago, I played in a Vampire: the Masquerade LARP. Maddy was my character, and she had a tattoo of Luna's sigil around her eye, partly because I was experimenting a lot with theatrical makeup to try out different effects. It became part of the character's look.
This inspires another oddball question: Do vampire fangs and an unnatural pallor qualify as a 'sufficiently distinctive appearance' for a New Troy android? Any Gothbots out there bringing a spot of colorless local color to New Troy's nightclub scene?
...Thank you Dianna ♡
her name is Yugasa,. and first see her in
comic-803 Omake pt4. panel 3

Not as good as Feelie's 'loose cannons' but better ;)
Hope you feel better soon Cent!
(This way I'm not telling you to get better which for me is likely to cause annoying angst.)
