The new card is now functional. my second monitor wasnt compatable with it so ill need to save my pennies to get a new one so i can get both up and running but im able to work now!
Talk about fast mood swing. I think Bruce is a man of few words. Something tells me this is one of key moments in time where someone F'd up but doesn't know it yet. Question is who was it?
Botty inspection squad's not gonna fare too well, if the one bringing up the rear with the crowbar is here the help Galatea & Co. Besides, we don't know what Galatea herself is capable of. Inspection squad might need some inspection of their own when this is through.
I noticed crowbar girl in the back, too. And I would agree that she might be of assistance... assuming she is there to assist.
However, something tells me that maybe she is not a concerned citizen or a coincidental passerby who just wants to help 'the botty girl' or her 'meat boy'.
I missed the scuffs completely until you called my attention to it, @robnot. Well-spotted.
However, I suspect the reason for the sound effects is to lend dynamism to the panels. In panel 2, it is to show that 'Bruce' is not just standing across the street watching the couple, but is actually approaching them. Similarly, in panel 4, its presence implies that the ruffian moving up from behind is actually moving up from behind, and not without betraying her presence as she does. Just my opinion, of course.
the foot steps are from Rose and yes its to add a bit of tense ness kinda like Anime does.. the soft whrrr is that sound of buffered fans a drone makes. the panels in the first balloons are "amped" as if though a boom mike or sensor.
You shitwhistles touch Galina's girl and I'll straight up murder you.
Well, if I were alive in that particular millennium I would. :D Maybe I'll have to find out how much of a brib...err...donation I'd need to give Centcomm for a guest appearance to take out the trash? It'd be worth it. :D
Whew! I can't believe I was two years behind reading Datachasers (among so many others). What a blur it's been. So glad to be current again, and sorry I missed the fund drive for your video card, Cent! Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help with the 'puter fixes/upgrades. :)
Girl with what looks like a crowbar sneaking up behind.
Talky guy, who doesn't want money and has a revolver.
Bruce - the less talkative sort who's open to cash.
That talky guy seems like a bot hater, not a bot womanizer. If he were the latter, why would the woman stick around on the team? Alternatively, he could be looking to sell her parts, but then why wouldn't he be interested in money? No, my money is that he's a bot hater.
I hope Bruce gets his money, and leaves. I hope talky guy gets what's coming to him too.
Nice little touch with the layered details in the first panel .. drone, girder road, people .. gives a nice depth to it. 😀
Also, nice scene elements, all sorts of scuff marks and such, makes it look a lot more used and worn.
On a sidenote, where are we at ?
New Troy ?
New Rome ?
New Sparta ?
And why are they all "New" when they are so worn down ? 😆
New York city is pushing 400 (398).. and it looks it's age..
an when you build 'new' the last you built is going to look worn ,, even tho you just finished it...
A decent 27" - 30" graphics/gaming monitor would run $200 - $300. A good 4K monitor would cost over $300. A good business purpose monitor would cost under $200. It all depends on what the objective is.
you'd be surprised at what you can find at a Goodwill. When I had to start working from home I got a desk and a couple flat screen monitors for less than $100 total.
Matter of fact, having relocated the computer from bedroom to living room incidental to replacing the power supply that suddenly went "* sizzle * POP" and emitted a small amount of Magic Smoke, i am now using a 32" Element TV instead of the 19" i-forget-what-brand monitor i'd used for years.
If i could just get it to run at 1080p without it, for some reason, completely distorting ONE thing, a game i play regularly, i would {i did, which is why i know that}; as it is, it's adequate for what i do at 1080i...
In regards to Cent's surprise about how much being down a monitor affects ones work. In my day job, I have three monitors, all three are being used constantly, if I'm down a monitor, it crimps my style, if I'm down to just my laptop display, I'm pretty much nonfunctional.
Even six years ago one monitor was pretty much standard at my company. Those of us who had multiple monitors did so by scavenging them some forgotten closet. Then management discovered how much productivity improved when people had two monitors now two monitors is pretty much standard for everyone. We're talking about purchasing thousands of extra monitors to accomplish this. So ya, that extra monitor matters.
A pretty decent 22"-24" 1080p LED monitor can be purchased on Amazon for under $150. These are quite sufficient for the vast majority of uses. Prices don't drop much below 24" so it isn't worth it to go much smaller than 22"-24".
Whatever you get, make sure it is at least a 1080p LED monitor. Remember that the bigger monitor doesn't give you more pixels, it just makes things bigger, unless you get a 4K monitor.
Is the monitor incompatiblity due to the plugs? If so, there are a lot of cheap adapters than can convert DVI to HDMI, and some slightly more expensive ones that can handle other types of conversions.
Also, I have a spare Nvidia 1080 that I could donate that has HDMI and Displayport connections.
I wonder how Galeatea will handle these..

she usually dont put sound noise in,, so Why now.??
scuff,. in panel 2 & 4..
and just me,, i thought the drone was part of the car,..
the first time through...

If she has completed the training . . . And with practice, . . . We shall see!

She has been known to interfere with bullies before.
Much to the chagrin of a certain TIM-01 Officer android. 😄

How do I get the card to you?
