Apologies Cent, I liked the old ship Dari used better. Seemed more appropriate for her mindset. Though the remastering looks dang good!

Actually I would think the new ship being a transport would be more reasonable :D

Insidious. Obvious villain technology is obvious. Also, I'm kind of surprised that Insidious recognized what Dari meant by New fucking Rome. (I guess it's like Edict "Processing.")

I'm not. Insidious is doubtless well accustomed to obvious villain's repertoire of pottymouth.

Interesting... There is sufficient human passage around/from New Troy that capture for slavery is commonplace, or there is a fairly constant stream of kidnapping from NT. There is insufficient military patrol or police presence to stem this. It is a very profitable thing or it would die out. This says a lot about the actual level/depth of "civilisation" hereabouts; money really is an arbiter of safety. It must not affect the higher levels of society very much or Lynn would have had an armed escort of at least 2 heavy fighter craft and Dolly would have piloted, no argument.
Thought provoking - thanks for the nuance!!
