Ah, an old law. Bureaucracy is still the same I see.
Centcomm 11th May 2012, 5:40 AM edit delete reply

yep although the laws were made during times when gene-tailored diseases COULD kill by touch , think e-bola on steriods :)
over time it became custom..
CyberSkull 11th May 2012, 6:06 PM edit delete reply

Unless that was tweaked on the genetic level, humans are still a literal touchy-feely species.
Centcomm 11th May 2012, 6:16 PM edit delete reply

like lynn said "public" touch is kinda taboo, think massive fear tactics, thank you Cyber i love getting feedback on stuff it makes me very pleased :)

I don't remember where, but I seem to recall "no/limited public touching" is actually something part of a current culture, that for the very reason mentioned (humans are a touchy-feely species), is more intimate than we think of it, and therefore more private.

Eastern asia, and I *think* the middle east as well.

In India you can go to jail for kissing in public. I think George Clooney or someone ran afoul of that law...

Read somewhere that infants birthed by C section don't carry the microbes they would if birthed vaginally. Which means - no immunity.

If they are birthed in tanks, they might be like Native Americans meeting Cortez at every encounter with a stranger -
Centcomm 24th Feb 2016, 9:25 PM edit delete reply

Children in NT birthed by bio womb are given the proper start up inoculations before they are born to stimulate the immune system.
