Affirmative! Anyone with acceptable acquisitional abilities could acquire an adequate accounting of the action after appreciating todays artwork. All right?
Well she didnt say she was lacking.. just not "functional" she really wouldnt need them. not to mention her being "female" is a human contrivance. Shes really nither. and, she really never pretends to "be" human note her actions in the Briefing...
It seems to me that Cent can and does experience some degree of emotions (when she doesn't turn them off). So she should at least be somewhat familiar with THAT aspect of the human / android experience. But I would think A.I.S. in charge of a megatropolis like New Troy would benefit from understanding humans and androids on a deep level. That kind of understanding might make for a better leader and caretaker, no?
So why is it that she "really wouldnt need them"? Are her priorities and duties too important to get distracted by anything remotely resembling a social life?
Then again, I am reminded of how deeply the loss of Fallon affected Calli. A drunk and very mopy / reclusive Cent-Comm might cause all sorts of problems for New Troy. (The lifespans of humans and androids must seem very brief to her.) Nor would it help to have a Cent "addicted" to sensations, as Connie said some androids can become.
I'm just wondering how much of the human experience Cent picks up on via observation. But I'd think there are some things that one has to experience first hand to truly understand or appreciate.
Considering the nature of AIs; Actually, when you think about it, it's not surprising that many of the technical and social aspects are very static. The same 'hands' have been on the throttle for a millennium! Only logical innovations need apply! We know Cent-Comm has deep goals in mind, but certainly they are long term and 'logical' in origin.
it looks like she is playing a game of super mario brothers.... amusing... as for cent having genitals....... *chuckle* she may be anatomicaly correct... in some cases.... but... far from fully functional...
ok altered the layout but its not showing up so i proably goofed it ((( <link rel="http://Datachasers.thecomicseries.com/files/centcomm-0002ico.png" "href="favicon.extension" size="16" /> )))
I've been mainlining this and I still needed a recap, so It think this was a good idea here. But beyond that I really like how you did it... very funny and enjoyable to read. Rose is rapidly becoming one of my favorite characters.
Isn't this a bit spoilery? I don't remember it having been mentioned in-story yet that Acantha is only Lord Headcase's half-sister; Ceci hasn't really shown her secretly dangerous side just yet; and that thing about genitals... Though admittedly I don't think I got the significance at that time :-)
These are priceless, I laugh every time I read them, maybe add one for every hundredth episode ? but I thought Cent-comm's dolls were sex-bot frames ? sort of defeats the purpose having them 'non functional' well... 'limited functionality' ;)
Dear Ms.Cent-Comm, you could have used kittens and totally upstaged Ms. Rose!
AI, AI, AI AI!!!
Also, I don't think I can trust a humanoid city AI interface that is lacking genitals or other anatomy vital to the human experience.

All it needs to be is a 16x16 image for most browsers. PNG will work on anything, ICO has portability issues.
