Centcomm 15th Aug 2012, 8:47 PM edit delete reply

He would have to replace 28 of them to look right >_< those tires are almost 6 feet tall :D that would get priiiicy!
cattservant 15th Aug 2012, 9:07 PM edit delete reply

All kinds of abrasive factors in the wasteland. Actually within city limits too...
Fairportfan 15th Aug 2012, 10:05 PM edit delete reply

...some of them nominally human, too.
Fairportfan 15th Aug 2012, 10:17 PM edit delete reply

I gots a new avatar!

cattservant 15th Aug 2012, 10:25 PM edit delete reply

That image is rather direct isn't it!
Fairportfan 16th Aug 2012, 2:42 AM edit delete reply

And she's one of the Good Guys. A spinnx, whose usual image is "Sexy Librarian", complete to the white blouse and glasses on a string.

The author says he hears Alex Kingston's voice in his head ... i hear Eve Arden.

She's had a Bad Week.
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 7:53 AM edit delete reply

Rashala 15th Aug 2012, 10:11 PM edit delete reply

And yet.....No mention of replenishing toilet paper....or food? Huh....oh well .....Its pretty obvious The little lady is kilter....and smitten already
cattservant 15th Aug 2012, 10:26 PM edit delete reply

Maybe that is part of the cooking problem...
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 5:38 AM edit delete reply

well sundrys like that would be picked up in the trade quarter or at stores not at the port they only handle customs and mechanical issues ( water for reactors is considered mechanical )
Kanela 16th Aug 2012, 12:10 AM edit delete reply

She likes him, she's so obvious, just like me :P hahaha
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 7:54 AM edit delete reply

well hes good looking well dressed and not calling her "purple" or "andy" that already moves him up on the niceness list
antrik 29th Apr 2017, 12:10 PM edit delete reply
Nothing wrong with being "obvious", as long as it's not aggressive -- most guys do like some encouragement...

(Very different story for guys, of course -- being obvious rarely gets them plus points...)
CyberSkull 16th Aug 2012, 1:09 AM edit delete reply

Have they progressed past toilet paper now?
Tokyo Rose 16th Aug 2012, 1:59 AM edit delete reply

Three seashells.
Nobody 16th Aug 2012, 7:02 AM edit delete reply
Only if you know how to use them.

If you don't.... swear a lot ;)
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 7:55 AM edit delete reply

heheh yep that will get you paper. and as far as i know . there is NO tech that will replace TP .. even with a bedit ( sp?)
cattservant 16th Aug 2012, 9:56 AM edit delete reply

How about localized gravity assist and Teflon prosthetics?
Nobody 16th Aug 2012, 10:36 AM edit delete reply
Actually, there IS a tech that can replace toilet paper. It's called "water".

There are toilets with regulated seats, heatable seats and "configurable water jet sprays for your rear end and front side" with options for "slow", "fast", "massaging", "spraying"... and of course there are dryers with controllable temperature, and optionally powder deodorant or spray perfume... for the stinkiest asses.
cattservant 16th Aug 2012, 10:45 AM edit delete reply

Sounds a bit complex...
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 1:07 PM edit delete reply

yes thats a Bidet ( found the right spelling )oh im sure Auto-toilets are in exsistance :D
Fairportfan 16th Aug 2012, 3:45 PM edit delete reply

Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 4:43 PM edit delete reply

just make sure you arent useing a carnivorus plant ( expects little shop of horrors comments now )
Rashala 16th Aug 2012, 2:36 PM edit delete reply

you laugh rose but I actually Figured out HOW the three seashells work. and they are NOT that efective as TP
CyberSkull 17th Aug 2012, 12:27 AM edit delete reply

I was just wondering if they had some sort of gentle forcefield or electrostatic field that would automatically shape itself and gently scrape the offending matter off of the delicate surface, akin to the way a Dyson Airblade hand dryer works.

Or how about a bioengineered solution like on Lexx (not linking to that ;p)?
Centcomm 17th Aug 2012, 5:47 AM edit delete reply

The air blade is neat - and proably is in heavy use - as far as waste disposal goes - can really say theres been a lot of improvement except in the actual dispoasl.. theres a lot of recycling .. a LOT
mushroomisland 16th Aug 2012, 5:45 AM edit delete reply

Purple one likes his :D SHE DOES
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 7:55 AM edit delete reply

yep that she does!
KarToon12 16th Aug 2012, 7:37 AM edit delete reply

Your 3D rendering keeps getting better and more realistic. :D
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 7:55 AM edit delete reply

thanks - I do continually try to get better , im hitting the wall on rendering :D
cattservant 16th Aug 2012, 9:59 AM edit delete reply

I'm sure the technical medium has it's limits.
Centcomm 16th Aug 2012, 1:14 PM edit delete reply

yep .. Money ... cant upgrade my system >_<
cattservant 16th Aug 2012, 1:56 PM edit delete reply

You could invent something new and improved and become rich and famous!

Something like: Stick a book in one end and get an animation out the other. For example.
cattservant 16th Aug 2012, 3:54 PM edit delete reply

If the World were saved, who would collect the interest?
GntlTch 11th Nov 2015, 5:39 PM edit delete reply

niauropsaka 21st Aug 2016, 1:03 AM edit delete reply

antrik 6th Oct 2016, 7:32 PM edit delete reply
Ah, the good old 3.5" floppy disk -- who would have thought this technology survives the apocalypse ;-)
antrik 29th Apr 2017, 12:15 PM edit delete reply
Hush Connie, don't distract him... Did you forget that human males can't multitask very well?
