Well; White angel with all his parts trending upward. Clear blue sky above right. (air element)
Red devil(?) With her parts trending down. Tangled thorny roses below left. (earth element)
Simultaneous attempts to lift up and hold down all playing out in front of a public looking building with old graffiti on it. Perhaps religious perhaps secular.
The depicted moment exactly on the point of equal tensions. So what you see depends on which eyes you brought with you to see with.
Overtly Ambiguous...
I guess this all falls under the "makes you stronger" category. Life tends to be punctuated with 'close calls', some of which you notice and some you don't.
The analysis up there is pretty interesting, but poor Rose would be horrified at being called a devil. She tries very hard being a good influence in a world where there's not a lot of good to begin with. Still, tying her to the element of Earth does work, as she is a human and therefore tied to the physical plane. As for the wings, I agree. I really love that model to work with--they articulate very nicely and look gorgeous. (Then again, I and Datachaser's editor tend to agree that Jaseriel there is probably the sexiest character I have among all my stories and renders, so everything about him tends to be gorgeous to me. *Chuckles*)
No, this one is Rose McGraw. Totally no relation, even though she and Jaseriel there are from a post-apocalyptic setting too. Theirs has more fantasy and less sci-fi though :D
The firs thing I noticed was that these are the first pair of wings I have ever seen depicted that had the structural strength to bear the weight of the "angel". Gives the image much more credence. Congrats.
Well, it's more a matter of proportions. To generate enough lift, bird-like wings have to exert forces *way* stronger than the body weight alone; OTOH, note that we have to assume angels are ethereal creature with little -- if any -- weight: otherwise, the wings they are usually depicted with (including here) would be *way* to small to make flight actually possible. So they don't really need the "structural strength" to support the weight of a human...
My biggest problem is deciding what of my stories would work as a comic--and what people would be interested in reading as a comic. I generally write prose stories, so finding something that would translate well to a comic medium is daunting to figure out. But if anyone's interested in seeing what else I've rendered (and the commentary I put on them), my stuff right now is up on DeviantArt at http://diannasilver.deviantart.com/
--OOoo, yes, before I forget... If anyone goes digging on my DeviantArt page, you will find out I actually designed a character in DataChasers a long time ago. Far as I know, that's how that character will look once that character actually makes a physical appearance in the strip.
I always wondered something......When a Android pilots a mecha/vehicle do they directly interface with it IE becoming the vehicle or do they just sorta remotely control it?

most of the time when a Andriod "pilots" a vehicle they "link in" and suplement physical control via signals in some other cases a physical link is required and physical controls become redundant the andriod effectively moves the ship via thought.

We <tCaI>* trust you are improving at a satisfactory pace!

Does Ms. Silver keep her 'stories and renders' in a chest under her bed only to let You tease us on occasion?
Maybe short visual 'tone poems' so to speak... Building up to a mystically coherent whole over time.
