Well, it's clear who's the brains in this dynamic duo!
Centcomm 6th Nov 2012, 9:37 PM edit delete reply

hmm thats assuming they have brains .. ZING!
plymayer 6th Nov 2012, 9:38 PM edit delete reply

Those direct orders might have screwed them. When there is a problem most military units have three rules. 1) Blame it on a scape goat. 2) Make the scape goat an enlisted man if you can. 3) Don't tell the enlisted men about rule two.
Centcomm 6th Nov 2012, 9:47 PM edit delete reply

ZING! and a point goes to plymayer! I like that one.
Hornet 7th Nov 2012, 7:40 AM edit delete reply
I have a feeling those are the enlisted men.
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 8:03 AM edit delete reply

they are above conscripted Legionarys they are "enlisted" centoruions.
Rashala 6th Nov 2012, 9:50 PM edit delete reply

Guy on right....Might live left guy.....probally about to be bent fold spindle and mutilated*
Centcomm 6th Nov 2012, 10:20 PM edit delete reply

think so eh? :D
Rashala 7th Nov 2012, 7:17 PM edit delete reply

pretty much.
Draginbeard 6th Nov 2012, 10:48 PM edit delete reply

I don't know that she is going to bash anyone, seems to me that she just regained what balance she needed, and is now conducting her own investigation.

Logic, not violence is the tool I think she is leaning on here.
Centcomm 6th Nov 2012, 10:51 PM edit delete reply

:D I think I said this before .. Kali is like a Vulcan. Logic wins more than violence.
Draginbeard 6th Nov 2012, 11:01 PM edit delete reply

I can definitely see that.
Guest 7th Nov 2012, 7:41 AM edit delete reply
Don't know a minute ago she was going Romulan.
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 8:00 AM edit delete reply

even vulcans can have .. slips of control :D
Death2Bravo 7th Nov 2012, 2:46 AM edit delete reply

They'll live. Following orders, no matter how illogical the orders are, is inherently logical as Spock demonstrated so many times. But they did they follow their first General Order: "I will guard my post and everything in my post until properly relieved" The question is was the Prince ordering them away a proper relief? Does a guard really want to find out the punishment for disobeying somebody like the prince?
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 8:00 AM edit delete reply

heh I think the punishment is death.
or worse.
plymayer 7th Nov 2012, 11:30 AM edit delete reply

The real problem is will he admit to ordering them away. Or will anyone really ask him. I wouldn't.
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 12:06 PM edit delete reply

You, Sir. are a smart man... although Kali could ask with impunity .. Shes actually not afriad of him or anyone else for that matter.
cattservant 7th Nov 2012, 3:26 AM edit delete reply

Might find themselves posted to the municipal sewage treatment plant though.
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 8:01 AM edit delete reply

that.. could be considered death
Draginbeard 7th Nov 2012, 7:01 AM edit delete reply

Doubtful anything will happen to them. This isn't really like an order you would receive in the military. This was a command given by Royalty, and an unbalanced one at that.

The only reason they would even consider to disobey, would be if doing so would have put Dex in danger, but even then, they might have had to face death for defiance.

I think they are safe in this case because if they had stayed, they would be considered 'loose ends' as they might have heard something, or went in and been witness to what was going on.

Dex wanted privacy, and doubly so seeing as how things played out. He would have dealt with the guards quickly if they had seen or heard anything.

No, I think in this instance, our two hapless guardsmen are pretty safe.
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 8:01 AM edit delete reply

unless they do something stupid..
velvetsanity 12th Apr 2013, 3:43 PM edit delete reply

The one on Kali's left is likely to...the one on her right is clearly more disciplined, though is likely still in at least a modicum of trouble, though primarily because not much can be done to the person who gave the order...
mushroomisland 7th Nov 2012, 7:29 AM edit delete reply

I have a feeling they're onna get plummeted no matter what eloquent explanation they have...
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 8:01 AM edit delete reply

LooeyQ 7th Nov 2012, 8:36 AM edit delete reply

If she's more like a vulcan than I see a mind melt a' coming! ;D
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 10:14 AM edit delete reply

McHozers 7th Nov 2012, 8:37 AM edit delete reply

"she was taking your meal order" man, the story of my life...
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 10:15 AM edit delete reply

hey - been there done that got rejected .. >_<
KarToon12 7th Nov 2012, 6:35 PM edit delete reply

Hmm...they might be okay, or at least live if it was the Prince who ordered them away.
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 7:32 PM edit delete reply

Grins... as long as they are honest :D
Dragonrider 7th Nov 2012, 7:10 PM edit delete reply

TweedleDee The Wonder Prince ordered them away so there was no record of him going in to play hide the Salami in his step sister, also he is the third of the three beings that can order the guards away from that hall. I would hazard a guess that any video recording equipment he knows about has malfunctioned.

What these two are in danger from is not their leaving the hall unguarded, but from Kali's reaction to being confronted with more evidence of what she is sure happened. The one who is also in danger from this is Prince Studly when she decides he has threatened the wrong person for the last time because she has a routine to protect Acantha from just this type scenario,

At least that's what logic tells me, now I'm going to go do what my rice krispies told me to do, clean my guns and inventory my land mines and C4.
Centcomm 7th Nov 2012, 7:33 PM edit delete reply

I love the way you think Dragon :D you seem to have a good handle on things :D
