Hi Hi Hi!
Lynn and Aeneas
Might have something
To talk to each other about...

(Aluminum foil hats must be in somewhat short supply in The Future!)
Centcomm 1st Jan 2013, 9:08 PM edit delete reply

oh .. music or hardwear? :D
cattservant 1st Jan 2013, 9:12 PM edit delete reply

Maybe both!
I think I see why TR likes him too.
Rashala 1st Jan 2013, 9:46 PM edit delete reply

Personell Must wear aluminumn foil hats at all times?....wwhat the heck were they using in there!!?!?!?!?
cattservant 1st Jan 2013, 9:57 PM edit delete reply

Orgone energy?
Centcomm 1st Jan 2013, 10:02 PM edit delete reply

HAHAHAH!!! someone actually read the signs ! *giggles*
Computant 12th Aug 2016, 5:20 PM edit delete reply
OK, when I read the sign I assumed it indicated that either the AI had a sense of humor, or that he employed someone who did.
But you being surprised that folks read the signs, I'm wondering if it is canon?
mushroomisland 2nd Jan 2013, 7:17 PM edit delete reply

..JUST realized this LOLOL xD
velvetsanity 17th May 2017, 6:31 AM edit delete reply

I'm just wondering what sort of 'psychological contagion' they're at risk for
lalverson 1st Jan 2013, 10:22 PM edit delete reply
Rule #1 of comics. Study everything for everything in the frame is reality.
cattservant 1st Jan 2013, 10:27 PM edit delete reply

That's true on the outer side of the 4th wall too...
Centcomm 1st Jan 2013, 11:28 PM edit delete reply

@ cat yep!
cattservant 2nd Jan 2013, 2:27 PM edit delete reply

The problem being,
You can't see the panel borders out here!
Centcomm 1st Jan 2013, 11:27 PM edit delete reply

good axiom :D
lalverson 1st Jan 2013, 11:42 PM edit delete reply
and there is never anything wrong with bob seegar and the silver bullet band.
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 5:51 AM edit delete reply

nope! nothing wrong with that.
Oldarmourer 18th Jun 2019, 11:41 AM edit delete reply
Nope, and about six and a half years from 'now' I'm going to severely mangle one of his tunes as a tribute to one of the characters. I'm not going to say which tune or which character :)
Death2Bravo 2nd Jan 2013, 3:23 AM edit delete reply

Love that graphic with the waves from the head. Good to see some rock and roll survives. And isn't everyone fluent in English in the future? You dare defy the trope!
mudge 2nd Jan 2013, 3:57 AM edit delete reply
Well, if you were to go by the cities' names, New Troy and New Sparta would have a primary language derived from Greek, just as Nova Roma's residents speak modern Latin. Perhaps English is a secondary language.
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 5:50 AM edit delete reply

english as a standard city language is a drifted launguage.

everyone speaks whats called "standard" now for the sake of the readers its "english" but its actually a mish mash of conrtactions . other launguages and other stuff. it would sound like non sense to us - although you would be able to catch a word here and there - Standard was a attempt to "standardize" launguages for communication and was adopted by most everyone as a "trade launguage" New Troy has a inner speak thats slightly diffrent , the andriods have speedspeak and even Luna has a variated launguage - although luna is the least corrupted. roma has "latin" and the wastes have yet another broken up luanguge...

Now - the A.I.S. systems do speak perfect english -- and almost every other language.
mudge 2nd Jan 2013, 3:59 AM edit delete reply
I would love to hear the backstory of just how Acantha found her way into that complex without being turned to ash in the first place. Are we gonna see that?
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 5:50 AM edit delete reply

yes.. in the next few pages :D
CyberSkull 2nd Jan 2013, 5:21 AM edit delete reply

So the only part of the city brain that is still functioning, tied into the anti-orbital defense array, is the Stoner Cortex?
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 5:51 AM edit delete reply

heheh lets hope not ! :D
cattservant 2nd Jan 2013, 7:48 AM edit delete reply

I'm still not real clear why the official AIs* have left Aeneas to steep in his own juices for so long.

*(Except TR of course.)

(Also a clear image of the PCR warning poster would be nice.
If you are feeling generous.
It would make a fine T-shirt.)

(Here is a TFH that might meet criteria.
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 9:16 AM edit delete reply

Aeneas's situation will be made more clear in the coming pages :D

Ill see about the sign :D
thats too cute :D
cattservant 2nd Jan 2013, 9:34 AM edit delete reply

TR could wear it the next time she visits Aeneas...
Draginbeard 2nd Jan 2013, 8:29 AM edit delete reply

I am totally digging these last few pages! Such a good job putting together this underground bunker scene!

Aluminum Hat zone really would make a great tee!
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 9:17 AM edit delete reply

thank you the set was a pain to build but I like the way it came out :D
KarToon12 2nd Jan 2013, 8:57 AM edit delete reply

For some reason, I really like that first panel; the way Acantha's face is lit up and her expression.
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 9:18 AM edit delete reply

well for once shes actually happy .. rather than crying or angry or sulking .. :D
Hornet 2nd Jan 2013, 1:10 PM edit delete reply
Agreed, course given that this is probably the only place she really feels safe it's easy to understand.
Hornet 2nd Jan 2013, 1:13 PM edit delete reply
Anyone else foresee Lynn trying to "Fix" the IA's code?
cattservant 2nd Jan 2013, 1:47 PM edit delete reply

(I'm so slow!)

What a massive load of irony!
(You could build a bridge!)
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 1:55 PM edit delete reply

hehe- took a bit :D
cattservant 2nd Jan 2013, 2:02 PM edit delete reply

Well I saw it right away,
But it took me this long
To come up with a nuanced response!*
Is it a common usage, or is Acantha being erudite?

*(And then be in the right humor
to pull the button.)
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 2:42 PM edit delete reply

its a common term in the wastes - its never used in troy or sparta . and rarely in roma ..

*** "Almost never used actually :P
cattservant 2nd Jan 2013, 2:51 PM edit delete reply

Erudite then!*

*(An elegant concept indeed.)
LooeyQ 2nd Jan 2013, 4:37 PM edit delete reply

What do you know about hard te-- ehh heh heh heh! Woooaah that was close!!! :D
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 4:55 PM edit delete reply

the next comment would have been about soft wear and hard wear :P
Dragonrider 2nd Jan 2013, 5:59 PM edit delete reply

"Smile all activity is monitored" With the orbital defense cannon aimed at anything that breathes that would seem a motto to live by. What I'm worried about, Lynn identifying the AI parts Aeneas deciding she is a threat to him and removing her.
Centcomm 2nd Jan 2013, 6:52 PM edit delete reply

That would kind of suck for Lynn wouldnt it.
Dragonrider 2nd Jan 2013, 7:12 PM edit delete reply

It would indeed, however he might just make her a prisoner in the complex.
cattservant 2nd Jan 2013, 8:24 PM edit delete reply

Less ego-maniacal sex fiends wandering about in the middle of the night...
Hornet 3rd Jan 2013, 1:17 PM edit delete reply
Daphne style!
rfaramir 3rd Jan 2013, 9:48 AM edit delete reply
Better than: "UNIX! I know this!"
antrik 7th Oct 2016, 7:05 PM edit delete reply
Muahaha, I remember that one... I wonder, was this the silliest of silly movie "hacker" scenes ever? :-)

Though I'm not sure that was even the silliest thing in that film, all in all...
GhostRider 28th Oct 2015, 1:37 PM edit delete reply
At least he likes good music
