Good catch. Back when Tokyo Rose - the in-comic one - was first talking to Kyle, she mentioned Aeneas's tendency towards seeming confusion and non sequitur as a result of his damaged system interlinks . . .
The concept of personal space is one of those cultural things that change with the fashions. A South Sea Islander for example wouldn't have minded. And now she'll take a trip and find out whether the concept is really worth while.
you might be right. hehe im glad people caught that. Rose is keeping track of all the call outs and shout outs in his lines and will be posted later :D
I'm really getting into this. Also, I'm reminded of bits and pieces of Babylon 5. (I loved that show and I was really bummed when it was cancelled.) Awesome stuff! Keep it coming!
Most bags are rather transparent to AI level intelligences.
And Lynn will be the last to know, and even then (thankfully for her peace of mind) she won't grasp all of the more sinister aspects of the situation.
I liked this mornings version better with Lynn stepping on her shoe causing the fall. Now please tell me with her upcoming fall from grace she does not activate something that should not be activated. I do think this might be the straw that breaks her composure.
Something occurs to me... Maybe it's just nit picking but they all seem to be wearing contemporary clothing (or a slight variation thereof) Considering which millennia in which this takes place wouldn't it be considered the equivalent of all of us, in the 21st century, going about in medieval clothing or its equivalent? Just sayin'.
I have a few friends in the fashion circles and one of them said "fashion is cyclic" whats old becomes new and really how many ways to make jeans its a common very functional design same with t-shirts and all other things sure you will see some "future-istic" deisigns here and there but mostly the clothing will be recognizable from now till forever - its a choice. :D somethings just never go out of style ! :) thanks though gave me a chance to say that.
That's true over the span on decades, but not centuries. Materials change, manufacturing methods change, needs change. We aren't wearing breeches and corsets today, because there are more comfortable and convenient options available -- and no doubt the same will happen to today's apparel designs centuries from now.
I always found the anachronistic fashion choices felt a bit weird; and assumed they were for practical considerations (availability of pre-made models) -- along with other anachronistic objects -- rather than a deliberate decision...
Maybe they still get clothes from sweatshops in third world countries that weren't wiped out in the apocalypse. Without a huge fashion industry sending them new designs, they probably kept cranking out the old styles.
They actually have to work a *lot* harder to find the clothes they're using than if they just stuck all the characters in plastic-looking "futuristic" slutwear (which is what the vast majority of available premade clothing models are).
A huge percentage of the media they have is probably pre-apocalypse. Maybe Netflix and Hulu's collections of videos survived? Also, they probably found a bunch of old paper sewing patterns.
I imagine people then like what they see of our time, and dressing like us helps them feel like the world is starting to recover and is becoming a "happy" place again.

Are the titles of some of these, like the "Roman Numeral The insert thing here" ones a reference to either
The Tarot Cards, The Empoerer, The Fool, etc.
Or the Yu-Gi-Oh Archetype "Arcana Force" monsters, based off of them?
