Wheee First Comment, before Centy even. Still think he should try to give them tasers, from crotch to scalp with one of those would make Decimus cool his ardor.

Well almost before she got hers up.
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 7:24 PM edit delete reply

yup! and you are proably right one that!
Dragonrider 22nd Jan 2013, 7:31 PM edit delete reply

OK so now modify the bracelet Lynn wears so His Excellency the Vinegar and Water Douche can push the button till hell freezes over and nothing happens but him getting a sore finger. Better yet set it with feedback so when douchey boy pushes it he gets shocked.
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 7:37 PM edit delete reply

hahah . nice one! I like that mental picture.. !
cattservant 22nd Jan 2013, 7:30 PM edit delete reply

If you want serious results, how about scythe lizard musk oil?
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 7:37 PM edit delete reply

ooh even better!
Dragonrider 22nd Jan 2013, 7:43 PM edit delete reply

Now wait a minute, enough is enough, what happens if the union is fertile, Decimus gets his heir he wants but is the world ready for that?
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 7:50 PM edit delete reply

um thats a good question..
Tokyo Rose 23rd Jan 2013, 2:10 AM edit delete reply

The mental image of Decimus pushing a button on his Keyfob of Doom and macing himself in the eye with scythe lizard musk oil is marvelous...
cattservant 23rd Jan 2013, 3:44 AM edit delete reply

Your description of how scythe lizard musk oil is collected would be marvelous too!
cattservant 22nd Jan 2013, 7:25 PM edit delete reply

(So, no creepy Hobbit ancestors sneaking about?)

Aeneas is so suave and debonair!
And Acantha is definitely a Princess.

(BTW: Dear Artiste; your attention to detail is just hyper-impressive!
I see that green glow up Lynn's left sleeve* in front of that other green equipment light glow!

*(From her tracking bracelet!)
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 7:37 PM edit delete reply

yes he is!
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 7:49 PM edit delete reply

yep that is indeed her bracelet thats lighting up the inside of her sleeve.. its a very small point light ( not that anyone would know that ) but yes the bracelet is self lit :D
cattservant 22nd Jan 2013, 7:58 PM edit delete reply

Goodnight to all.
I fear my spine
Is in decline.
I must recline
Before I whine!*

*(Too much muscle relaxer)

Nice job on the gem, like the look of it.
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 8:31 PM edit delete reply

Thank you .. it was a pain in the tookis to get to render right :D

and in the apocalyptic wasteland he forged the one ring to monitor her...
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 9:10 PM edit delete reply

YUP! I couldnt resist the little joke :D

"The Nova Romans are glad to die for honor. They delight in fighting duels. But I prefer a man who lives And gives expensive high tech-jewels. A gun that can't be tracked May be quite continental, But shiny audio/video tracking monitors are a girl's best friend."

Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 10:12 PM edit delete reply

durn tootin!
Rashala 22nd Jan 2013, 9:44 PM edit delete reply

I am liking A more and more now....His royal douche-bag ness
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2013, 10:12 PM edit delete reply

^_^ he is kinda neat!
Dragonrider 23rd Jan 2013, 6:41 AM edit delete reply

Can we just call him "Old Vinegar and Water"?
CyberSkull 22nd Jan 2013, 10:39 PM edit delete reply

Can the ring interact with anything? Like say injecting a wandering AI into a remote off-main-network system?
Rashala 22nd Jan 2013, 11:14 PM edit delete reply

you mean like override/take over a certain ....royal Android in a body stocking?
Tokyo Rose 23rd Jan 2013, 2:07 AM edit delete reply

I hesitate to give anything away, but I'll say that standard androids aren't built with sel-cast receivers. That is, however, a terrifyingly awesome idea.
Rashala 23rd Jan 2013, 4:26 PM edit delete reply

Oh God what have I done!!! Given Rose a idea....OH GOD!!!> Ceci Forgive me....centcomsm gonan kill me!
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 4:51 PM edit delete reply

hahah - admittedly that would be kinda cool .. sorta like demonic possession >_< Excorsist 2000AD the digital demon! XD
Rashala 23rd Jan 2013, 5:57 PM edit delete reply

Though in kali's Case would it not be more of a Angelic possesion of ademonic being like kali?

**there is a loud scream offstage as Kali likley bend folds spindles and shoves Rash into a a form resembling a pretzel*
LurkerAbove 22nd Jan 2013, 11:10 PM edit delete reply
What is a "Sel-cast repeater" ?
Also: what range does it have (e.g. inside buildings), is it detectable ? (For video, it must need quite a bit of bandwidth)
And can Aneas use it to send a warningsignal ?
Tokyo Rose 23rd Jan 2013, 2:05 AM edit delete reply

City AIs use a sel-cast system to remotely animate their dolls. Like many of Aeneas's other systems, his is currently damaged. A repeater is a device intended to receive a weak signal and boost it to extend its effective range. Draw your own conclusions. ;)

The signal is specialized enough that it requires equally specialized equipment to detect. And given how quirky Aeneas is, one should not put it past him to have built a blinky LED into the thing to use as a warning signal...
cattservant 23rd Jan 2013, 7:43 AM edit delete reply

So if Aeneas has any old dolls* mouldering in some palace closet he could reactivate them?

*(Or honking huge warrior statues in the throne room...)
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 7:47 AM edit delete reply

*winks* :D

Death2Bravo 23rd Jan 2013, 2:04 AM edit delete reply

Acantha, never accept a ring from a man unless you set a date. :-D Now if she rubs the ring will Aeneas appear in a puff of smoke to grant her wish? Aeneas does look a bit like a djinn.
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 7:47 AM edit delete reply

he does doesnt he!
Draginbeard 23rd Jan 2013, 3:38 AM edit delete reply

Aeneas can now see, hear, and know exactly where Acantha is at all times, right? Essentially, she has been LoJacked?

I'm sure Aeneas has only her best interests at heart. (She can always take the ring off after this is all over) But I still find the whole thing a little creepy.

HAL 9000 has started singing -

"Every single day
And every word you say
Every game you play, every night you stay
I'll be watching you"

- it just jumped straight into my head.

Years of writing gaming campaigns has nurtured the devious paranoid center in my brain, so for me the story just took a new twist right here. =)

Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 7:48 AM edit delete reply

yes .. she has been lojacked. heh we are gamers too.. so make of that what you will ::D
Antonious 23rd Jan 2013, 2:22 PM edit delete reply
I have been classified as a defensive pessimist. So I have always had a paranoid/pessimistic outlook. Am I always thinking that the other person is trying to put something over on me? Yes. Am I happy being wrong most of the time? Hell yeah! What does all this do for my thinking process? Well lets just say I freely admit to having more loose screws than a hardware store and claim to have been refused admittance to mental institutions for being so far around the bend that I am back to "normal" How's that for deviously paranoid?
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 2:27 PM edit delete reply

I like it !
Dragonrider 23rd Jan 2013, 6:47 AM edit delete reply

All in all one hopes that her reluctance to accept the gun might have warned Aeneas from telling her about a heavy duty shock he can trigger through the ring to knock Old Vinegar and Water on his butt and unconscious for a few hours so she can do what she wants to get out of dodge. Does Lynn get any shiny gee-gaws?
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 7:48 AM edit delete reply

Hmm guess we will find out eh? >D as for the shock .. oh theres a shocker .. but much later :D
cattservant 23rd Jan 2013, 7:49 AM edit delete reply

She could use some creative refurbishment on her current bracelet.
Otherwise there are going to be some technical issues when the rescue party tries to take Lynn back to New Troy...
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 7:50 AM edit delete reply

yeah, that would suck wouldnt it.
Hornet 23rd Jan 2013, 7:35 AM edit delete reply
Deck's is going to be pissed when he sees Acantha's new engagement ring. :P
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 7:49 AM edit delete reply

you think? trust me I didnt forget that.
KarToon12 23rd Jan 2013, 7:39 AM edit delete reply

Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 7:49 AM edit delete reply

Yup! you have my offical permissions. ( trust me we have far more colorful names for him )
Songgu Kwon 23rd Jan 2013, 12:22 PM edit delete reply

Good shiny. Ha ha! Of course she likes the ring better than the gun. What can I say. Dames... dey can't resist da shiny.
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 12:31 PM edit delete reply

yup exactly! :D
cattservant 23rd Jan 2013, 1:29 PM edit delete reply

A modest proposal:
As a show of respect to the Office of Imperator of Nova Roma;
Decimus should be henceforward referred to as Summer's Eve.
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 1:35 PM edit delete reply

BUHAHAH! ok thats funny XD
cattservant 23rd Jan 2013, 1:54 PM edit delete reply

While you're in a good mood;
I don't suppose you could get TR to describe the steps in gathering and refining scythe lizard musk oil?
Centcomm 23rd Jan 2013, 1:57 PM edit delete reply

you could send her a PM asking her :D ill remind her hehe.
Dragonrider 23rd Jan 2013, 6:37 PM edit delete reply

I still prefer Old Vinegar and Water.
cattservant 23rd Jan 2013, 7:03 PM edit delete reply
