All ladies are complicated. Artificial or not...
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 1:16 AM edit delete reply

yes.. yes they are :D
Rashala 28th Mar 2013, 12:31 AM edit delete reply

My opinion: Ceci you're NOT broken, You're perfect AND you're a PERSON Not a Doll mindlessly following a set program.

And If centy tries to change you when this is over. .*STARES* I've had MANY years working with computers...I am fairly sure I can find somewhere somehow to make Centy Have a nervious twitch or Sneeze whenever someone says the word IT.

Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 1:16 AM edit delete reply

A AI and a "computer" are as diffrent as a human and a ameboa... :D
Rashala 28th Mar 2013, 1:21 PM edit delete reply

TRue.......*still stareing* But both respond to electric jolts and over time delevop ticks when that stimuli is removed

Plus a sledge hammer will wreck a man And an Ameboa equally well :)
antrik 8th Oct 2016, 1:04 AM edit delete reply
Actually, wrecking an amoeba with a sledgehammer would require tons of luck, or a very flat surface along with very good aim...
CyberSkull 28th Mar 2013, 1:21 AM edit delete reply

I think it is fairly obvious what Centcom did. The angels are nodes of a distributed system called "Centcom", whereas Ceci is a system unto herself. There is no other practical way of doing the mission. Centcom gave Ceci independent agency so that she could function while completely detached from the main Centcom self. Any reliable communication between an Angel-type node and Centcom would be likely to be intercepted by Nova Roma, thus detrimental to the mission.

I am guessing that the Angels have a large degree of agency, but that is mostly related to local matters like what action to do next, how to react, etc. Policy and planning would go to some process in Centcom. They have to have some kind of agency within them because there are all sorts of things that interrupt communication on a good day, than even a minor lapse in communication would be disastrous.

Yeah, pretty much. It's about time Pinkie Pie there learned how to do the exact same things I do with some of my own Chokushi and Shikome...
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 4:51 AM edit delete reply

CeCi called Cent-comm big sister, but she is really more of a clone/daughter I think.
CyberSkull 28th Mar 2013, 5:19 PM edit delete reply

Ceci is a forked process (granted, one with a massively pruned data set).
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 2:17 AM edit delete reply

Even at an android's enhanced rate of development, CeCi is barely a teenager!
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 2:21 AM edit delete reply

thats correct :D
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 2:57 AM edit delete reply

Good morning chill seeking early* person!

*(Or late, as the case may be.)
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 3:03 AM edit delete reply

I think Cent-comm has finally gotten tired of sitting home herding 'cats' and CeCi is part of her long term* program to take a 'sabbatical'.

*(Like all her plans.)
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 3:34 AM edit delete reply

When all this sorts out Cent-comm can send CeCi to college in New Sparta with Lynn Taylor.
Vivocateur 28th Mar 2013, 2:25 AM edit delete reply

I really like the lighting on this page.
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 2:29 AM edit delete reply

thanks was really pushing my system to do these .. tried a new method of lighting :D

RE: New computer; Yay! You could have a 'cookie contest' to see who notices the difference first...

[And, Happy Birthday! If you're so inclined.]
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 4:07 AM edit delete reply

actually the computer is part of a early B-day prezzy from a good friend. its a HUGE upgrade for me. going from 4gb of ram to 16 gb and a much better processor and vid card. YAY!!!!
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 4:32 AM edit delete reply

Prometheus Unbound!

[BTW: Does DYSTRANS stand for Dystopia Transit?]
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 9:03 AM edit delete reply

yes :D
Dragonrider 28th Mar 2013, 6:04 AM edit delete reply

Looks like Cyber Skull hit it on the head, however doubt Ceci would want to go to college with Lynn. Excellent page as always, happy-happy, I will be absent for most of the next month moving to take a new job and will have to do several days at a time to stay current, will add my never humble opinion when I can.
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 9:03 AM edit delete reply

looking forward to it and good luck on new JOB!
Hornet 28th Mar 2013, 6:35 AM edit delete reply
Ultimately all of this is preperation for CentComm to pull a Skynet and replace the human race with her droids. So an experiment like Ceci incorperating random probabilities and adaptability should be expected.
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 9:04 AM edit delete reply

cent comm .. skynet *snirk*
KarToon12 28th Mar 2013, 8:37 AM edit delete reply

Either A; being thrown in this situation is affecting her development.

Or B; Cent-comm lied about aspects of Ceci. Maybe she's not an Angel after all.

Or C; a combo of both.
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 9:04 AM edit delete reply

Ill .. take C
velvetsanity 28th Mar 2013, 8:53 AM edit delete reply

Ceci refers to Dolly as "Mommy" and Cent-comm as "big sister" money's on Ceci getting a body like Dolly's after this is over. :D
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 9:04 AM edit delete reply

cant say ... adjusts halo
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 12:37 PM edit delete reply

Dolly is a good role model for CeCi. However, she was a long way from being a typical android even before her 2.0 upgrade!
In fact, Cent-Comm considered Dolly's unusual emotional development as being a positive factor in her ability to tolerate the advanced new body. So it is very likely Cent-Comm had that factor in mind when she flash programed/activated CeCi.
velvetsanity 28th Mar 2013, 2:30 PM edit delete reply

Hence Cent-Comm's thought about having possibly gone overboard on the emotional aspect when Ceci pounced Dolly immediately after activation.

"Mommy!" *pounce*

cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 2:41 PM edit delete reply

Exactly the area Cent-Comm keeps on the 'back burner'.*

*(Until now, not an area of high priority.)
LooeyQ 28th Mar 2013, 8:59 AM edit delete reply

Hmmm something is up with Ceci. But I like it!!! Will Dolly figure it out?!!
Oh and congrats on the new computerz!!!
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 9:05 AM edit delete reply

danke its been a long long time sense I got a GOOD UPgrade!
Draginbeard 28th Mar 2013, 9:34 AM edit delete reply

Last couple of pages have a different feel to them. I cant put my finger on what, it has a killer Simon Bisley edge to it now. I really, really like it.
Centcomm 28th Mar 2013, 10:11 AM edit delete reply

grins I am trying some new things :D glad its coming out well *bows*
cattservant 28th Mar 2013, 1:26 PM edit delete reply

The 'thought' of a 'touch' of impressionism perhaps...
Steven-Vincent 17th Sep 2015, 7:48 PM edit delete reply

Had you started using different character models for Dolly and Ceci here? They look... different. Not sure I can quite put m finger on it.
Centcomm 17th Sep 2015, 10:27 PM edit delete reply

These are V4 Models - same as the other segments after I switched out the old V3 models. I did make some minor changes to texture maps and such.

I think somebody sparked. Not naming any names. *cough cough* (just ignore the first letters of the coughing-there's nothing hidden there)
nekaz 10th May 2022, 5:52 PM edit delete reply

idk if anything you'd think this kinda thing would have happened before already considering breaking off a "copy" of your mind and letting it run foff with its own experiences would be turning them into a new person. Although i gues maybe they havea way to merge their minds back to gether after the mission idk
