[Perhaps special shinys...]
Centcomm 4th Jun 2013, 6:28 PM edit delete reply

hehe - we shall see :D
cattservant 4th Jun 2013, 6:37 PM edit delete reply

I don't think submerging them would effect their function, if they have one other than aesthetic.*

*(And with where they came from, the odds are high that they do!)
velvetsanity 4th Jun 2013, 7:15 PM edit delete reply

It would affect their function even so. Ever heard of tarnish/rust? :P

And who's to say the water doesn't have contaminants that are exceptional at accelerating oxidization?
cattservant 4th Jun 2013, 7:30 PM edit delete reply

That's true. I was thinking of the 'works' as being sealed.

[But anyway, your charming young intellect will always be well ahead old gray cattservant!]
Centcomm 4th Jun 2013, 7:35 PM edit delete reply

if they did have something in them water would not affect them , nor would a great many things.. also Ceci would not have been able to remove them as she did .. :D
cattservant 4th Jun 2013, 7:40 PM edit delete reply

I'm overwhelmed! >^~0^<!
Stormwind13 29th Sep 2013, 3:37 PM edit delete reply

Except if they are gold (and they appeared to be), it doesn't oxidize at room temperature. One of the metals that won't oxidize under normal conditions.

Gold can TARNISH, depending on what chemicals are applied to it, but normally the tarnish can be just cleaned off with mild soap and warm water.
velvetsanity 29th Sep 2013, 11:39 PM edit delete reply

tarnish = oxidation :P
Stormwind13 30th Sep 2013, 3:04 AM edit delete reply

Sadly no, velvet. Tarnish can be oxidation, but doesn't have to be. And in gold's case, it isn't.
cattservant 30th Sep 2013, 1:05 AM edit delete reply

Oh well,
Moot point.
Centcomm was just playing dress-up with her Doll.
CyberSkull 4th Jun 2013, 6:37 PM edit delete reply

External control processors?
cattservant 4th Jun 2013, 6:41 PM edit delete reply

Chekhov's Earrings at a minimum.
Sheela 5th Jun 2013, 9:26 AM edit delete reply

Chekovs Earrings, huh ?

Seems like the perfect present for Mira. :)
cattservant 5th Jun 2013, 11:11 AM edit delete reply

Mira is a natural born aquisitor!
Speedy Marsh 10th Nov 2016, 7:38 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, Chekov's earrings will probably go bang (metaphorically), as soon as Mira shows up in Nova Troy, wearing them.
velvetsanity 29th Sep 2013, 11:40 PM edit delete reply

Pavil Chekov wore earrings? This is news to me... :D
Mayyday 4th Jun 2013, 6:46 PM edit delete reply

Nothing is EVER as it seems...
Centcomm 4th Jun 2013, 7:08 PM edit delete reply

hehe Okay im going to break my own rule here.. There is "nothing" going on with the earrings .. they are simple pieces of Jewlery :D
velvetsanity 4th Jun 2013, 7:15 PM edit delete reply

That's a moot point because Ceci didn't pick them and therefore doesn't want them.

Watch as she gives them to Mira :D
cattservant 4th Jun 2013, 7:21 PM edit delete reply

They are entering the Sentimental Dimension!

[A place of complex and lasting connections...]
Speedy Marsh 10th Nov 2016, 7:31 PM edit delete reply
So you say... But, that's exactly what we'd Expect CentComm to say, if the earrings contained shaped charges, designed to head off any rebellion from Cici.
KarToon12 5th Jun 2013, 4:45 AM edit delete reply

Maybe the earrings were bugged too? They can give them to this lady and really throw CentComm off. XD
Marcus Ramesy 5th Jun 2013, 7:48 AM edit delete reply

with a military mind set, and emphasis on clandestine operations, centcom wouldn't use something so flimsy and external as bugged/transceiver super spy ear rings.. to easily damaged/discovered/removed... and if by chance they were. they wouldnt have been able to be removed as easily as they were... think about it.. you have an entire Black Angel frame to squeeze all sorts of things in to... the last thing you are going to do is put a gizmo on the out side
velvetsanity 5th Jun 2013, 11:14 AM edit delete reply

Which she did squeeze anything and everything she could manage into (I don't suppose Ceci has a built-in kitchen sink? :P ). So much of the speculation is based on "omg there's no more room but I *really* want to add <gizmo>!"
Marcus Ramesy 5th Jun 2013, 1:58 PM edit delete reply

true.. but this is one of those few times.. when the duck.. realy is just a duck...
Centcomm 5th Jun 2013, 2:00 PM edit delete reply

Rashala 5th Jun 2013, 2:03 PM edit delete reply

Riiiighht...I still think Centcomm put some nasty thing in Ceci we have not seen yet.....*readies the AIS eraser*
Centcomm 5th Jun 2013, 2:27 PM edit delete reply

She put a lot of things into Ceci.. need to be more clear. nasty for the bad guys or nasty to Ceci
Rashala 5th Jun 2013, 4:43 PM edit delete reply

Nasty for Ceci Dolly lynn and her mom

the kind anasty that would force a devout Ceci fan to Uplaod his mind ot the net so he could do mental battle with and ERASE Centcomm and plunge the world into a new dark age cause he forgot to turn the lights back on when over. ;P
Centcomm 5th Jun 2013, 4:49 PM edit delete reply

ah.. ( Centcomm actual: bring it meat sack.. ) ok ok ok now back off pinky.. anyway. your going to have to wait and see what happens .. but I think our little Ceci might surprise us.
Rashala 5th Jun 2013, 7:08 PM edit delete reply

Oh It's on binary girl!!!

seriously though I am sure ceci will :)
Dragonrider 5th Jun 2013, 5:14 AM edit delete reply

Dragonrider 5th Jun 2013, 10:22 AM edit delete reply

Actually those would have been ideal as micro fusion grenades, take off arm and throw, everyone overlooks them, who pays attention to a womans earrings?.
velvetsanity 5th Jun 2013, 11:14 AM edit delete reply

Only every other woman who sees them :P
cattservant 5th Jun 2013, 2:18 PM edit delete reply

But they are probably seeing stylin' and not 'splodies!
velvetsanity 5th Jun 2013, 3:07 PM edit delete reply

Unless they're Kali ;)

Even TeeDee would be fooled
cattservant 5th Jun 2013, 3:18 PM edit delete reply

Kali is a special case in any situation!

[After the excitement settles in Nova Roma, what do you think of the idea of CeCi joining up with Kali and Company (who will be needing to get out of town by then) and setting up some kind of 'Problem Adjusting Agency' in Joleet?]
Centcomm 5th Jun 2013, 3:22 PM edit delete reply

I cant comment on the results of the future *winks*
cattservant 5th Jun 2013, 3:30 PM edit delete reply

Oh dear, omniscientcy must be a pain in the Os!

[Given Kali's pride in her perfect plastic posterior, I'm willing to bet she has full scale evacuation plans on the trips for just as soon as her programed loyalty to his Highness is terminated!]
velvetsanity 5th Jun 2013, 4:20 PM edit delete reply

Assuming it's terminated through termination of drekhead, it would shift to Acantha. I think.
Centcomm 5th Jun 2013, 4:27 PM edit delete reply

as Kali said herself she serves Roma .. that also just happens to be the prince. as well..
cattservant 5th Jun 2013, 4:31 PM edit delete reply

As long as everyone can keep ahead of the blast wave!
cattservant 5th Jun 2013, 3:52 PM edit delete reply

As a matter of curiosity, what color is CeCi's speech bubble? To my eyes it seems to be hovering somewhere between green and blue.
Centcomm 5th Jun 2013, 4:06 PM edit delete reply

I passed along the question to Rose. she does all the balloons and can tell you :D
its a greenish blue .. same as her eyes the eye is "technicly" aqua with blueish hints
cattservant 5th Jun 2013, 4:16 PM edit delete reply

Thanks! Idle curiosities make the Cats antsy.

You should consider having an android duck as a disclaimer icon.]
Tokyo Rose 6th Jun 2013, 2:36 AM edit delete reply

The RGB color is R 194 - G 255 - B 255. And yup, I sampled it out of Ceci's iris a million years ago. :)
cattservant 6th Jun 2013, 7:47 AM edit delete reply

Thank you, thank you very much!
velvetsanity 6th Jun 2013, 5:00 PM edit delete reply

A million years ago? Wait a second. Are you saying that this comic is actually a history lesson and it all really happened a long long time ago? And that you were there?

(j/k :D )
CyberSkull 6th Jun 2013, 1:44 AM edit delete reply

@cat wonder if the AFLAC Duck needs a P/T gig.
cattservant 6th Jun 2013, 7:50 AM edit delete reply

Centcomm 6th Jun 2013, 7:55 AM edit delete reply
