Mister Black sees no reason to let the grass grow under his feet. Especially since the "grass" out here is likely to be carnivorous.

Yep...sure enough, he knows a guy.
Centcomm 15th Jul 2013, 7:31 PM edit delete reply

he knows LOTS of guys :D
Sheela 15th Jul 2013, 8:37 PM edit delete reply

He knows gals too, I hope ?
Or does he prefer the gentleman variety ?
Hornet 16th Jul 2013, 8:08 AM edit delete reply
No, he's the guy who not only knows a guy but knows a guy that knows a guy.
However to be profitable in business you have to be the type of guy, where the business is what you do even when you're sleeping.
Alexander the So So 31st Jan 2014, 6:26 PM edit delete reply
and based on the attitude and dialog shifts, each of those guys would describe his completely differently. Love it.
highlander55 15th Jul 2013, 6:35 PM edit delete reply

And he made 4 Grand in less then what, 30 seconds?
Centcomm 15th Jul 2013, 7:31 PM edit delete reply

that he did..
Stormwind13 15th Jul 2013, 7:20 PM edit delete reply

And Mr. Black is all over the place. I wonder what data he is selling? I doubt it will get the team in trouble, he likes to stay alive after all, but I can't think of what he might be selling.

And that is at least 4 different names he has used (so far). :-D

It might have been over 30 seconds with pauses and delays of getting people on the comm. Still it wasn't TOO long for sure. If he could do that all the time, he would be rich pretty darn quick for sure. :-)
Centcomm 15th Jul 2013, 7:31 PM edit delete reply

bear in mind dock fees and fuel will eat a lot of that. the average gas tank takes what to run .. or a jet?
Stormwind13 15th Jul 2013, 8:07 PM edit delete reply

True; however, we know they were waved in New Troy and he was paid 5k just to go to the briefing! I mean, he has made some cred already this trip. :-) And that doesn't count the goods he 'liberated' from New Troy.
Centcomm 15th Jul 2013, 8:52 PM edit delete reply

hes going to be greasing a lot of palms. and moving money around. its how he makes his living..
Tokyo Rose 17th Jul 2013, 2:37 PM edit delete reply

Gotta spend money to make money. Mr. Black is practically a one-man stimulus package, except instead of just dumping a big pile of money on a failing prospect, he keeps the cash flow moving around to pep things up.
velvetsanity 15th Jul 2013, 7:52 PM edit delete reply

I'm sure he's used more on this's just that we've only seen 4 :D
Sheela 15th Jul 2013, 8:38 PM edit delete reply

Well, considering a Centcomm doll was about 6k, it seems he's making reasonable good money.
Speedy Marsh 15th Nov 2016, 4:06 PM edit delete reply
He can use that to buy two thirds of a CentComm doll. Even more, if he's willing to take the "scratch and dent" unit, that just recently became available.

It seems that the main mover of the Wastes is Information in all it's many manifestations.
Hornet 16th Jul 2013, 8:10 AM edit delete reply
Of course after all knowledge is POWER.
Sheela 16th Jul 2013, 1:02 PM edit delete reply

More specifically :
Knowledge is power if the others don't have that knowledge.
cattservant 16th Jul 2013, 1:20 PM edit delete reply

Even more specifically:
Knowledge of what knowledge Others don't know they aren't knowledgeable about!*

*(Ya know!)
Rashala 15th Jul 2013, 7:33 PM edit delete reply

Rashala'as BAD FEELING Alarm GOES OF at Nuclear detonation volume*
Centcomm 15th Jul 2013, 7:44 PM edit delete reply

and why would that be , come on now dont be shy :D
velvetsanity 15th Jul 2013, 7:53 PM edit delete reply

Because *everything* gives Rashala a bad feeling? Unless it's something that makes Ceci or Teedee happy, that is :D
Hornet 16th Jul 2013, 8:12 AM edit delete reply
probably from dealing with the doctor-priest. Pretty sure that particular file contained DNA coding.
Rashala 16th Jul 2013, 4:54 PM edit delete reply

I am just naturally untrusting......And Learned long ago to GO with my bad feeligns cause they often are dead right :/

ANd If Ceci Is happy I am if tedee is happy I pity the puddle she left behind
Sheela 15th Jul 2013, 8:40 PM edit delete reply

Interesting to see him at work.
Different speech patterns and names too.
Centcomm 15th Jul 2013, 8:53 PM edit delete reply

no one is really sure WHAT his name is. Cent used facial recognition.. but even that can be fooled - DNA can be "altered" or changed if you have the right bio gear. ect ect
fingerprints are all but useless. voice patterns are somewhat useful... ect ect
Mister Black 16th Jul 2013, 8:04 AM edit delete reply

It's easier than that...I don't need bio-engineering to change my DNA, just a data-input clerk with the clearance to change pointers in the database. The DNA data doesn't change, it just points to a different 'person'.

Don't ask me the clerk's name (or model number)...I don't rat out my sources.

Y'all have a nice day, now. :-D
Stormwind13 16th Jul 2013, 1:57 PM edit delete reply

cattservant 15th Jul 2013, 8:54 PM edit delete reply

His name is Legion!
Sheela 16th Jul 2013, 1:03 PM edit delete reply

Heh .. Legion is a neat name for him.
cattservant 16th Jul 2013, 1:22 PM edit delete reply

Did you tap into the reference info? It's interestingly complex.
Dragonrider 16th Jul 2013, 4:52 AM edit delete reply

Interesting--very-very interesting indeed.
Draginbeard 16th Jul 2013, 7:09 AM edit delete reply

Well, if there is a way around something, and a profit to be made, I bet he has a foot in the door.
Stormwind13 28th Jul 2013, 6:04 AM edit delete reply

No, no Dragin... He doesn't have a foot in the door. He is PAST that door, down the hall and picking the VAULT lock by this time. :-D
mushroomisland 16th Jul 2013, 1:03 PM edit delete reply

Watch and learn, amateurs. :P
Stormwind13 28th Jul 2013, 6:04 AM edit delete reply

I think the vast majority of the world is an AMATEUR compared to Mr. Black, Mushroom. :-D
Caley Tibbittz Collopy 23rd Jul 2013, 10:36 AM edit delete reply
