His plan, his rules..
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 4:32 AM edit delete reply

damn right. :D
mushroomisland 16th Jul 2013, 5:59 PM edit delete reply

yayyyy this can be either real good or real bad idk
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 4:32 AM edit delete reply

also very true
CyberSkull 16th Jul 2013, 6:04 PM edit delete reply

She'd better at least have a very good software emulator of the inhibitor to correctly simulate the behavior on her systems.
ranger_brianna_new 16th Jul 2013, 9:12 PM edit delete reply

That's presumably what the good doctor's there to do. ;)
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 4:33 AM edit delete reply

Connie "play acting" is the weakest part of the link. black is taking a "calculated" risk. hes been here before and knows what to expect. you cna bet he will stack the deck as much as possable.
Jomobeegie 17th Jul 2013, 8:18 AM edit delete reply
Either Mr. Black has a crush on Connie or he uses her to bust the whole agent crew. Betrayal is still an option for an independent merchant.
HalcyonSon 5th Jan 2018, 1:54 PM edit delete reply
I know Androids can't be reprogrammed... but can they implement new subroutines voluntarily? Seems to be that doc whiny britches should be able to whip up a very convincing simulation for Connie.
Stormwind13 16th Jul 2013, 6:04 PM edit delete reply

And kind of saw THAT coming.

Mr. Black doesn't argue with you, he lets you have your say and then does what he thinks is right! :-D

Stormwind13 16th Jul 2013, 6:32 PM edit delete reply

That is a nice shirt, not sure it is nice for being out in the FIELD, but it looks good on Connie. :-) Not sure about the pattern, but hardly noticed that on Connie. :-D

And is that liquid courage that Connie is imbibing? :-D She seems calmer coming in than when she last left the bridge.
Centcomm 16th Jul 2013, 6:37 PM edit delete reply

that will be revealed tomorrow!
cattservant 17th Jul 2013, 1:13 AM edit delete reply

Connie looks like someone who just had a CeCi length shower.

[Square cans! 10W-30?]
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 1:17 PM edit delete reply

They dont roll around as much :D and yeah she grabbed a shower and some food..
Sheela 18th Jul 2013, 9:06 AM edit delete reply

Ah, is she drinking out of a 10w-30 multigrade oil can ?
Rashala 16th Jul 2013, 6:33 PM edit delete reply

I would have thought him more of an orangotang or Lemur than an ape
Stormwind13 16th Jul 2013, 6:53 PM edit delete reply

I think the Major is bigger than a Lemur (at least the ones I'm familiar with) and his arms aren't long enough for an Orangutan (in my opinion). :-)
Rashala 16th Jul 2013, 7:00 PM edit delete reply

a Chimp?

maybe a CHupacabre?
Stormwind13 16th Jul 2013, 7:36 PM edit delete reply

Does he drink blood? Like goats? If he doesn't, I doubt he is a Chupacabra. :-) Since I haven't seen any sign of those habits, I kind of doubt he is that.

As for the chimp, I havne't seen him walking around on all four limbs, so kind of doubt he is that either. :-D
Draginbeard 16th Jul 2013, 10:48 PM edit delete reply

Ah, I had a feeling he would step in and ensure the odds would be in his favor. This is a guy who knows how to get past most (if not all) current electronic barriers, coming up with a passable dummy inhibitor, would be right up his alley.

Im also thinking he has a contingency plan, and a secondary to back that up, all of which still make a profit at the end of the day.
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 4:44 AM edit delete reply

I think you have him nailed pretty well :D
Sheela 18th Jul 2013, 8:57 AM edit delete reply

Things that are nailed down can be profitable as well. :)
mjkj 17th Jul 2013, 12:33 AM edit delete reply

Wow, he just rose again in my liking.

He treats Connie with decency and is concerned about her.

I guess she is quite relieved. (And I sure hope he will not doublecross her..)

*hugs Connie* she seems to need one
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 4:45 AM edit delete reply

Black protects his friends. and he IS a decent guy :D
Stormwind13 17th Jul 2013, 1:34 PM edit delete reply

I don't think Mr. Black will double cross anyone he cares for or respects.

Now, planning for someone ELSE trying to double crossing HIM, I expect he does all the time. And if those plans go into effect, someone is going to be crying if they are lucky. If they aren't lucky, they will be faceplanted on the ground.

Mr. Black is NOT someone to screw around with. :-) If you treat him with respect and 'fairly' (for a given value of FAIR known to wastelanders), he will do the same.
Sheela 18th Jul 2013, 8:59 AM edit delete reply

Hrm, I dunno ... I could see him do a double cross, even on Connie if need be. But that's just the thing .. if need be.
Stormwind13 18th Jul 2013, 1:34 PM edit delete reply

I can't see it. He might run a con that made it SEEM like it; however, I imagine Mr. Black would have a plan in play to pull whomever he seemed to set up before it all fell into the crapper.

He has too much integrity to screw over those he respects, in my opinion. Now if you ever give him cause to NOT respect you, kiss your butt goodbye. Mr. Black will take your ass to the cleaners and laugh on the way to the bank.
Dragonrider 17th Jul 2013, 4:42 AM edit delete reply

When will our fearless tour leader let the rest of the ship in on his multiple identities, big problem there if he meets the wrong person at the wrong time. (Every time I comment on something he does I'm tempted to use the old Kingston Trio Song Title, "The Reverend Mr. Black")
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 4:46 AM edit delete reply

hehe - the answer of course is - as he needs to..:D
Stormwind13 17th Jul 2013, 1:36 PM edit delete reply

Which means, if Mr. Black is as good as he thinks he is (or at least lucky enough), probably NEVER! :-)
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 8:40 AM edit delete reply

its a good song.. maybe our Mister Black will give you some of his musical choices :D
Hornet 17th Jul 2013, 6:19 AM edit delete reply
I still have faith in the fake. It's Connie remembering that she's supposed to be under it's influence and not reformatting the first guard to be rude that I have doubts about.
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 8:40 AM edit delete reply

yep she does have practice swallowing her own rebuttles.. thanks to jerkwad she worked for..
cattservant 17th Jul 2013, 1:32 PM edit delete reply

Only the truly flexible can do that!
ge2org 17th Jul 2013, 7:18 AM edit delete reply

I knew it!!!

Black would never put poor Connie through that!!!
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 8:40 AM edit delete reply

:D no he wouldnt.
KarToon12 17th Jul 2013, 8:10 AM edit delete reply

Eyepatch is sticking it to the man. >:D
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 8:41 AM edit delete reply

when DOESNT he .. hehe..
Tokyo Rose 17th Jul 2013, 2:41 PM edit delete reply

When it's more profitable to stick it to a *different* Man by not sticking it to this particular Man?

. . . that got awkward quick, didn't it.
Dragonrider 17th Jul 2013, 3:27 PM edit delete reply

When doesn't it get awkward when dealing with people trying to get one over on other people? It doesn't matter what the reason good or evil it's still awkward. Difference is when its evil the people doing it usually are so accustomed to acting in that manner it doesn't bother them like it does us.
cattservant 17th Jul 2013, 3:39 PM edit delete reply

Classic human behavior.

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave
When first we practise to deceive!"
Stormwind13 17th Jul 2013, 5:00 PM edit delete reply

Dragon, that made me think of a button I have. Went and dug it out.

"Essentially we're two of a kind. We're both scheming, conniving, treacherous, back-stabbing fiends who would readily sell our mother's last working kidney for buck. What separates us, however, is that I'm holding this .357 and you're not." :-D
highlander55 17th Jul 2013, 4:44 PM edit delete reply

Like the 5 bullets used to button (?) her pants. Gives it a more western feel to how they live in the wild areas! That and High top sneakers.
Centcomm 17th Jul 2013, 4:51 PM edit delete reply

hehe - you counted .. kudos to you :D not a detail people normally look at :D
highlander55 17th Jul 2013, 5:28 PM edit delete reply

Bullets are ancient tech sort of like arrow heads we use now. But red High Top sneakers was a bit of a surprise, at least it wasn't Judy Jetson boots for Connie.
Stormwind13 17th Jul 2013, 5:29 PM edit delete reply

I saw the bullets, but didn't realize that the down pieces were ALSO bullets. Had to get a little closer look to see that. :-)
megados 21st May 2017, 12:50 PM edit delete reply

@Centcomm, to this day, you always seem surprised when people notice your details.
Centcomm 21st May 2017, 12:52 PM edit delete reply

Yeah .. i totally obsess over the details
megados 21st May 2017, 2:42 PM edit delete reply

That's a trait shared by anyone who is good at what they do! :)
Speedy Marsh 15th Nov 2016, 4:40 PM edit delete reply
Mr. Black and Connie make a good team, because they respect each other, treat each others as equals, and pull their own weight. He won't stand for her to be unequally yoked, by a working inhibitor.

I think the First Circuit would approve.
