Dr. Silver SCORES! :-D

And amused TeeDee too! A good day!

Also amused some of the locals. That is a good sign, they all don't care for stuck up b!tch either, sounds like. :-D
Centcomm 13th Aug 2013, 7:28 PM edit delete reply

Most of them know her well ..
Rashala 13th Aug 2013, 6:13 PM edit delete reply

Aannnd we see british slang Survives into the future.....Now....for him to turn back to tedee and her to turn him into a projectile
ranger_brianna_new 13th Aug 2013, 7:22 PM edit delete reply

Technically, I imagine it's supposed to be a sort-of different language (since language evolves over time) and therefore isn't technically british slang, but is (for the sake of translation convention) roughly equivalent to british slang.

...Aw, who am I kiddin'. It's British slang. :P
Centcomm 13th Aug 2013, 7:27 PM edit delete reply

LOL actually you bring up a good point. the "Euro-combine" and the British islands still exsist and were spared some of the horrors that devestated the US and mexico and Canada. so for the most part they are still the same as they were then tech is a bit higher .. but in time "Standard" replaced "english" and the punk is speaking a brit version of standard.. ;/ more cockney than anything else. as "actual" london accents are not written any diffrently than english. :D
Computant 13th Aug 2016, 7:41 PM edit delete reply
In 200 years the accent in Queens and Brooklyn will be about where Cockney is today.
City folk try to speak more quickly to save time, which results in clipped speech and syllables mashed together, country folk emphasize taking their time to speak, which means elongated vowels, what we call a drawl.
I bet you see the same thing comparing Paris and rural France, or Bonn vs rural Germany, or Moscow vs rural Russia...
antrik 23rd May 2017, 9:35 PM edit delete reply
Bonn is almost rural... ;-)

OK, not quite -- but it's really not a very large town by today's standards... Seems an odd choice for an example.

BTW, with modern global communication, dialects are generally on a decline. At least in major German cities, most people nowadays tend to stick with something very close to "standard" pronunciation...
Oldarmourer 21st Jun 2019, 7:13 AM edit delete reply
If it was a Canajun dialect instead of pseudo-British, he might have said something along the lines of "Fuckin' A, give'er"
highlander55 13th Aug 2013, 6:28 PM edit delete reply

"Move stupid machinery!" is my guess for the translation for Bardus apparatus permoveo.
Futue te ipsum is 'fuck yourself'
Vacca stulta 'Stupid cow'
Laughed when seeing the red stars coming off her perfect ass. LOL
Centcomm 13th Aug 2013, 7:28 PM edit delete reply

you pretty much nailed all the translantions :D i debated the "pain stars" but the effect worked .. :D
cattservant 14th Aug 2013, 2:54 PM edit delete reply

I wonder how the red stars would look if they were regular instead of bold?
Zimriel 28th Feb 2016, 11:45 PM edit delete reply
Te ipsam, since feminine accusative.
Stormwind13 13th Aug 2013, 6:31 PM edit delete reply

Appropriate amount of force to deal with the problem. Then Marcus wants to go overboard and end Goldie's suffering. No, no Marcus, let her SUFFER. :-)
Centcomm 13th Aug 2013, 7:29 PM edit delete reply

LOL Marcus is a fan of overkill..
Stormwind13 13th Aug 2013, 7:37 PM edit delete reply

"There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload.'" (Schlock Mercenary - 23 February 2004) :-D
Marcus Ramesy 13th Aug 2013, 7:50 PM edit delete reply

"I have a bullet with your name on it, and im going to keep firing till I figure out wich one it is"
Rashala 13th Aug 2013, 11:09 PM edit delete reply

Hey ... You only call it over kill when its way more than is needed. Til a situation is over...there IS no OVERKILL...there is ENOUGH KILL to get the job done
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 4:06 PM edit delete reply

Hey now, what did I ever do to YOU, Marcus?!? Got a bullet with my name on it? :-O

Shoot CentComm instead, she is the root of your troubles! :-D
Marcus Ramesy 14th Aug 2013, 4:48 PM edit delete reply

one could look at it that way.. or you could look at it as a way to keep me gainfully employed, and keep me in a profession that I do so much enjoy.
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 5:19 PM edit delete reply

If you shoot CentComm, chaos will reign and that is GOOD for someone with skills with a gun. You could make loads of moolah. :-D And you wouldn't have to deal with the 'pink pogo stick' anymore. :-D
highlander55 13th Aug 2013, 6:35 PM edit delete reply

The indignity and insult/ injury to her ' tools of the trade ' should knock her down a peg or two! Something the locals will remind her of many times in the near future.
Stormwind13 13th Aug 2013, 6:41 PM edit delete reply

Do they have U-Tube? :-D If so, she will NEVER live that down. :-D
highlander55 13th Aug 2013, 6:48 PM edit delete reply

Stormwind13,, If they do then next 'customer' she approaches will go "Yer that golden bitch got in a losing fight with an Orb! Forget it sweet cheeks!
Centcomm 13th Aug 2013, 7:30 PM edit delete reply

LOL she proably knows this is gonna be a hit to her ego and rep..
antrik 23rd May 2017, 9:50 PM edit delete reply
@Stormwind13 while it will certainly affect her ego, I very much doubt it will hinder her work. If anything, the fact that she has become a victim (even if mostly a victim of her own bigotry), is actually likely to garner interest. Human males tend to feel protective of pretty females -- even those who don't deserve it...
antrik 23rd May 2017, 9:50 PM edit delete reply
Whoops, sorry, that was actually @highlander55
Centcomm 13th Aug 2013, 7:29 PM edit delete reply

At stormwind. its more than likely she will be ribbed about it for months.
Centcomm 13th Aug 2013, 7:29 PM edit delete reply

oh yes ..
anarcha 13th Aug 2013, 7:43 PM edit delete reply

Great line:
"Do we need to arrange an accident?"
Stormwind13 13th Aug 2013, 7:47 PM edit delete reply

Yeah. That is a great line, and shows how Marcus' mind works. :-D
Marcus Ramesy 14th Aug 2013, 12:40 AM edit delete reply

untill I looked her up.. she could have been a nova roman snitch.. I dont like loose ends.
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 2:18 PM edit delete reply

Marcus just likes shooting stuff :P
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 3:59 PM edit delete reply

You say that like it is a BAD thing, CentComm. :-D
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 4:05 PM edit delete reply

hah good point.
Marcus Ramesy 14th Aug 2013, 4:49 PM edit delete reply

well duh... its what I do... every one needs a hobby..
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 5:08 PM edit delete reply

you take it way beyond "hobby" "chuckles"
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 5:26 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, you put TOO much in kicking a$$ for it to be a hobby, Marcus. :-D
mjkj 15th Aug 2013, 2:55 AM edit delete reply

Well, it seems you made your hobby your job, Marcus.
velvetsanity 31st May 2017, 10:21 PM edit delete reply

It's always important to enjoy your work...
Stormwind13 13th Aug 2013, 7:47 PM edit delete reply

Now hopefully Ada won't jump up and try to do first aid on her. Some medics just can't leave even b!tches to suffer as they should. :-)

Ada hasn't moved yet, hopefully she won't. :-)
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 2:16 PM edit delete reply

Ada did take a oath as a care provider.. :P same as a EMT or doctor..
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 4:00 PM edit delete reply

Well yeah, but they normally only jump in when the person is in dire circumstances. Can't say that applies to Goldie here. She got what she deserved. :-)
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 4:06 PM edit delete reply

that depends on your point of view although I doubt Ada will argue the point.
cattservant 13th Aug 2013, 9:33 PM edit delete reply

Red Stars and More Green Bottles!

[See, Connie's butt is already subsiding.]
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 2:17 PM edit delete reply

I think it was a trick of the light :D
JustNoPoint 14th Aug 2013, 4:09 AM edit delete reply

Well that won't help her opinion on them!
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 2:17 PM edit delete reply

LOL very true.
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 4:09 PM edit delete reply

I don't think they CARE what her opinion of them is... Their opinion of HER is far enough down that she is nothing but a waste of air to them.
Draginbeard 14th Aug 2013, 6:55 AM edit delete reply

LOL! I was half expecting lighting bolts to seriously shoot out of her rump! Although, I'm betting there is a heat build-up between her ears about now.

Anyone want some toast?
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 2:17 PM edit delete reply

oh her temper is just getting started :D
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 4:12 PM edit delete reply

If Goldie does something stupid with her temper, her life expectancy could be VERY low. :-D
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 4:22 PM edit delete reply

wow you guys really hate her ... sheeesh :D
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 5:12 PM edit delete reply

GROWL!!! :-D
mjkj 15th Aug 2013, 2:54 AM edit delete reply

Oh, what gave you that impression? *looks innocently*
mjkj 14th Aug 2013, 7:11 AM edit delete reply

*lol* great one - and even Teedee is amused :)

But Ada simply looks stunning...
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 2:18 PM edit delete reply

Ada turned out spectacularly :D
quick record the moment .. TD smiled!
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 4:05 PM edit delete reply

I think Ada always looks good (well except when she had just crashed at least).

I don't particularly like hair in buns. I prefer it unbound personally, but it STILL looks good on Ada.
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 4:22 PM edit delete reply

hehe - one reasons most of the girls wear it up is its out of the way , its a fairly common style :D
Stormwind13 14th Aug 2013, 5:11 PM edit delete reply

I was talking MY preferences... not what is PRACTICAL, especially in the field. :-)
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 5:28 PM edit delete reply

point taken :D
mjkj 15th Aug 2013, 2:52 AM edit delete reply

Yup, that she did - and yes, I think I have caught that moment of Teedee smiling on camera ... (at least I have a link...)
VanEzzania 14th Aug 2013, 2:47 PM edit delete reply

I understood what Aurelia said :O
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 4:06 PM edit delete reply

think it applys ? we didnt really try to make the roma launguage that hard to decipher :D
VanEzzania 14th Aug 2013, 4:37 PM edit delete reply

It sounds similar to Italian and some other Romance languages. I think it applies quite well
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 5:15 PM edit delete reply

that makes me pretty darn happy.. thank you!
JacobJSebastian 14th Aug 2013, 3:32 PM edit delete reply

This is only a test. If this was a real posting, you would be laughing your ass off right now.
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 4:07 PM edit delete reply

sage nod*
CyberSkull 14th Aug 2013, 5:51 PM edit delete reply

Lamod = Latin Modern?
Centcomm 14th Aug 2013, 6:19 PM edit delete reply

YUP - cheeezey I know.
Speedy 19th Nov 2016, 4:16 PM edit delete reply
Should've let Marcus handle her. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorched.

She might have friends in high places, (and low places, and even lower places) that could cause problems for our team. If she doesn't have anyone in Nova Roma that owes her a favor, she probably knows mercenaries who would accept payment "in kind".
