Shouldn't that be 'loonies' if it's Ottawa ? ;)
Watched a stripper pick a loonie (dollar coin) up off the stage without using her hands, no reason goldie-box wouldn't try...
ive actually known a couple that are this tenatious .. hes figuing anyone with her level of hostility has GOT to be something else once you get past the spines..
Well, he's probably right about that ... the sticky bit being the "get past their spines", which I doubt he'll be able to.
Offcourse, I have seen this happen once.
A guy who managed to piss a huntsman/lady off, and then, by sheer accidence, ended up defending her .. and did a good job of it, and when she grudgingly wanted to thank him, he just brushed it off as if it was something anyone would have done - which in the end impressed her more than all the rest.
They actually ended up having a short term relationship. Emphasis on "short".
Oh dear, the temperature of the tempers is rising. Ada I suggest you step aside before she takes a swing at Silver and hits you instead. Then again, as a person demonstrating an attempt at keeping the peace, her hitting you might carry a greater negative than her hitting Silver.
Oh it DEFINITELY would carry a greater negative. TeeDee is Ada's protector. So hitting Ada would be a sure-fire way for Goldie to find out how good the medical staff in Atha is. :-D
Not that hitting Doctor Silver would be MUCH better, I think Marcus is responsible for HER protection. You probably could tell who Goldie was AFTER he got done with her. Not sure the same would be true after TeeDee worked her over. :-)
Let us not forget the local factor.
I'm reasonably certain that The Lucky Strike has a well proven procedure for maintaining and/or restoring tranquility.
I'm sure they do, but I'm not sure it is up to the task of containing TeeDee! :-D
Nevermind Dr. Silver on her white horse, shining armor and banners flying for her CRUSADE! :-D The poor folks at the Lucky Strike probably have NO clue how to deal with her, effectively at least.
I doubt Marcus have to defend Dr Silver ... she has O.R.B. Drones to do that. Can't remember how many of them she has, but I'm guessing plenty is the answer.
She has ten, if I remember right Sheela. And you are probably right she doesn't NEED him to defend her, but I think it is part of Marcus' job anyhow. So whether she likes it or not, he would probably intervene if she was struck. And somehow, I doubt Marcus would be amused.
This isn't going to end well for someone. And unless our "entertainer" is hiding a battalion of heavily armed pimps nearby I'm pretty sure it won't go well for her!
Something about the lady in red in the background, first panel.
Hmm! Wonder if fines for assault are payable to the injured party? She didn't get to perform her job and this would be a way to get maybe even more than normal pay (snicker)or at the least something for the night.

Cattservant, I think it behooves a joygirl to understand what her rights are, legally. I mean, she wouldn't want to find herself getting screwed, right? ;) ***Horrible pun allowance for the year armed and deployed***
I saw her highlander, but I can't see anything special about her even at 200% zoom.
Whomever she is is just watching, but I can't say I blame her there. I mean, the ladies (using the term VERY loosely for Goldie) are creating a major spectacle.
And on a slow day at the bar, ANYTHING out of the ordinary will get watched. :-D
Storm.. I looked at 500 zoom and she is typing something. Could be ordering her first beer but I don't know what other functions are included in the table display.
Might be updating her twitter account highlander with the ongoing fight... :-D
Or sending messages to some information broker about the strange party in the Lucky Strike. Enough info is flowing that it might trip someone's trigger. :-)
LOL!!! Teedee can't decide who deserves killing the most. And Poor Ada. How long can she be peace keeper between these two. Alse one wonders how Pride of Roma would react if she knew just how mony Androids are in that room? Especially Ada?
um - they are practicing the "hide in plain site.. " tactic.. yeah.. *eyeroll* this is about as covert as they get right now. remember the cover is as traders and explorers.. so Silver isnt that far out of charcter for her part nor is anyone else.
I'm not sure they are putting on a very convincing ruse as traders.
I dont know any business minded trader that wants a reputation for being unruly in any place they want to have profitable dealings with. Rough and tumble explorers I get, but for a merchant, you want to attract business, not punch it in the nose.
Mr. Sutherland/Black would understand this best, I'm sure.
Well either way, this is getting fast out of hand. The bar looks like its on the verge of (to borrow the old Boxing joke) turning into a Hockey game. Someone needs to take control of the team before its too late. Too much is riding on this mission to let everyone mosh pitt their way into an early grave.
Connie has fairly standard android psychological responses.
Also, I think she is the youngest and certainly is the least experienced member of this flying circus.
You can dress them up but you can't take them anywhere nice!
(sez Ada)
Also, I wonder if we're about to see Ada finally loose her temper ?
that is a awesome line Rose needs to take a few bows..

That idiot should have made the long walk off the short pier LONG ago. Preferably into the piranha filled waters.
His line should be, "I would like to buy some brains, Pat" :-p

Dr. Silver is well prepared. :)

And poor Ada is on a losing task.
Ah, Connie, yup, great to learn something new ... though she looks quite taken aback ... like it is her fault that this is happening...
Also, I think she is the youngest and certainly is the least experienced member of this flying circus.
[Or a sweat!]
Poor Ada.
(And poor Connie... She isn't happy about this fuss at all.)
