Marcus is that one guy you know who has ALL THE APPS loaded on his smartphone, so he can tell you the time and weather in thirty world capitals, gets real-time Facebook and Twitter updates for everyone on his friends list, and has a constant news-feed ticker display from six major media outlets.
Teedee is the other person you know who's never changed any program from the default layout and skin, because she doesn't give a rip about the bells and whistles as long as it does exactly what she needs it to do.
I love the comments by Doctor Silver about how much trouble Marcus is in and his comment that she doesn't have to be HAPPY about it.
No, no Marcus Doctor Silver is going to be VERY happy about it, since you Shanghaied her for this mission she wants SOMEONE to collect a pound of flesh from you! :-D And this way, she gets TeeDee more normalized too. Win, win in her book. :-D
Well I imagine Doctor Silver is going to get some rumpling and folding for sure. Hopefully that will be ALL she gets, but with TeeDee in the mood she is in... :-p
Can hardly wait to see what TeeDee can do now. :-) I know it is going to be painful and probably extremely bloody... Hopefully not fatal though, Marcus dying MIGHT put a crimp in the mission after all. :-)
Well, at least you are HONEST about it Marcus. And the rest of us need some of the crazy people to help protect the rest of us from the crazy PREDATORS. :-p
For that I thank you. Though I have a feeling you aren't going to be happy later in the (comic) evening.
A complex and multi-layered thing is the combat analysis that TeeDee is getting now.
Took me awhile to read it all (and had to crank up the zoom a bit). I mean, showing Doctor Silver and the Drone Orb both shielded. And colour coding who and what to target. I like how Ada is listed as a non-target. :-D
Now what are the percentages scattered all over Marcus' body? Is that her chance to hit? Or how much power she needs to damage the area? If it is either of those, Marcus is in DEEP trouble. :-D
That Don was kind of what I was expecting in the last red eyed panel; however, I couldn't see it. So I was wondering if anyone else could see it, but doesn't sound like CentComm went there. :-)
...yes Teedee upload the sprite.ini, it will probably ask you if you want to add the Google bar to your HUD, just click no. Make Google Chrome your browser, click no. Update Real Player...waiting...OK then you'll be able to fight Marcus! oh wait...hit accept for license agreement. Meanwhile Marcus can have a drink...OK now Ready!
Did we mention the Milsec backdoor Marcus has...cuz he's Marcus...or the worm Centcom plants on all her projects?
LOL Tokamada01! Hopefully the mil-spec version doesn't have ALL those time wasters! So TeeDee can get to fighting. Hopefully before some gutter with an old fashion knife comes up and cuts her throat while she is still loading (under your loading sequence).
Blame John Donne :-D
"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
its a composite threat rating of Tee Dee, her problem was that she didnt integrate her systems.... software integration problems doesnt make her any less dangerous
Her eyes were red the last page and earlier, and even in the first panel here, so it struck me as odd that they changed back to amber for the penultimate panel, just so you could show them changing back to red again as a bad-ass indicator.
Also, I had some real trouble attributing the convo in the first panel, because the comm bubbles have no real clue to source beyond context. I finally got it after reading the comments for clues. May I suggest you give com bubbles either a subtle color (maybe silver for the Doctor, and camo for Marcus, for example), or begin each bubble with an indicator icon. Red cross for the doctor, insignia for the major, etc.
Finally, I don't know if it is a good idea, but you might consider making the comm bubbles translucent, instead of solid, so your cool art comes through even if people are talking a lot. Then again, if there is something you want to cover, that could be less than useful.
Silver's psi/comm effects have a pale blue outline; Marcus's is black. The androids are easier to distinguish due to the color-coded backgrounds and the differing font. And yeah, sometimes we use the boxes and bubbles to cover stuff that can be hard to postwork out :)
odd as it might seem to comment from so far in the future, I was rereading and when TeeDee finally sees the blissful wonder of entering ass-kicking mode and her eyes flash pure battlelust, my background music just happened to chime in at that exact second with
"...Blinded by the light,
revved up like a deuce,
another runner in the night
Some silicone sister with a manager mister told me I go what it takes
She said "I'll turn you on sonny to something strong..."
and seeing that Dr. Silver is technically a "silicon sister manager" at that point it sort of fits :)
...it worked.
Between Marcus' taunting annd Dr. Silver's encouragement - it worked.
Great dialogue, Rose :)
...and I like it how TeeDee's eyes change their colors.

o/` for those about to rock...we salute you o/`
Poor Marcus, but he'll have a better team if he survives what he is about to receive. :-D

I keep finding my eyes being drawn to the art on the wall of the tavern...
A business-suited man with a Mac-10 machine pistol stepping out of a Viking longboat, with a huge American flag waving in the background?
An astronaut riding a robotic horse on a moonscape?
Is there any way for you to show us (me) close-ups of those pieces?
Did we mention the Milsec backdoor Marcus has...cuz he's Marcus...or the worm Centcom plants on all her projects?
Let me know how the wall tastes Teedee...

I'm really hoping it's just for TeeDee and is before integration, just to see what it jumps to after!
