Im going to be down for more than likely 2 to 3 weeks -
And this is a open request for filler for Datachasers - any type as long as its DC related.
I would prefer that something get posted rather than leave it empty... :(
(Ada's real character is quite different, though. I think she is performing a Shakespeare adaption for androids and that was the "to be or not to be" part of it...)
not sure if Mayyday reads that but also Momo has no wish to be human :D all of the ones above "want" to be closer to human or thought they were in some way :D also not sure how the owner of Questonable content would react he can be .. err testy.
What I want to know is where is GALINA?!? I mean, come on. :-D
And from Metropolis the woman's name was Maria, as was the robotic version while deceiving the workers.
And I think you are right velvet, that could be Cherry 2000 in the 8th spot. That would make some sense, to remind Tokyo Rose of Cherry 2000, AGAIN. Torment her some more. :-D
I know I've seen the 7th one before, but can't for the life of me think where.
Okay, I can see it; however, with Rose's past comments on Cherry 2000 thought Mayy might have gone there. :-D And in the format presented, it COULD have been the Cherry 2000 unit. She was wearing a red dress too. :-)
I got 'em all except 5,6 & 7. I never would have gotten 5 or 6, but I think I've figured out no 7 with a little detective work. (i.e. I had an inkling but had to cheat to find an actual answer).
Would it be the android character from that show with, I think, Bob Saget? Little Problem or something similar was the name of the show. I never watched it, but I remember the ads.
* * *
A google search tracked down this entry on a Wiki list of fictional robots:
Vicki (Voice Input Child Indenticant) the little girl robot in Small Wonder (1985)
So my memory played me false; Bob Saget was not on the show, and the title was Small Wonder, not Little Problem.
Runners-up included: Johnny Five (Didn't specifically want to be human) Roy Batty (Too tough to caricature and remain recognizable) RoboCop (Not a robot/android, but a cyborg. He started off human, and seeks to RE-gain his humanity) Tron (Not a robot/android, but rather a program. His font is used for the sign, though.)
What, none of the Ryokos? Arale? Anyone from DBZ, Astroboy? Tsk tsk. Then again... there's so many androids in anime' it's ridiculous. Belay my last then. Good list you've got here.
It's just a different place
On the same edge
That everyone self aware
Has to navigate!
I dont know them all, and l might be wrong on the ones l think l know.
Left to Right
1. Ada
2. Data
3. Machine Man
4. The robot from Metropolis
5. ?
6. Centenial Man
7. ?
8. ?
9. T-800 Terminator
Love this whole page to pieces!
7 no idea
8 dunno, but I'm *guessing* Cherry 2000
Lol I'm just glad I could help out. Cent's done filler for me before, and I was more than happy to return the favor.
Great page. :)

I sure do hope she will get a model five body soon...

And I would have found it kind of humorous, Galina getting to interact with Ada from all those years in the past. :-)

1. Ada (Duh)
2. Lt. Commander Data of Star Trek: The Next Generation
3. X-51, the Machine Man of Marvel Comics
4. The Maschinenmensch Maria from Fritz Lang's Metropolis
5. Chi of Chobits
6. Andrew of Bicentennial Man
7. VICI of Small Wonder
8. Number Six of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica
9. A Terminator (Specifically, the T-800 Model 101 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day)
Runners-up included:
Johnny Five (Didn't specifically want to be human)
Roy Batty (Too tough to caricature and remain recognizable)
RoboCop (Not a robot/android, but a cyborg. He started off human, and seeks to RE-gain his humanity)

I never watched Small Wonders, but I remember the commercials or something because I recognized the character. :-)
